Apollo is the bigger sales workspace and the cheaper way to find work emails at 10,000 a month. FullEnrich is the pick for filling mobile numbers into a list you already hold, because it queries 25+ sources for each contact. At 1M records a month neither has a price you can order online.
Verdict
- Pick Apollo if reps will work leads in the same tool: sequences, a dialer, filters and a database of 240M contacts and 30M companies (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
- Pick FullEnrich if you already hold a list of names or LinkedIn URLs and need work emails and mobiles filled in, and you want to pay only for what it finds (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
- Pick neither if you pull people and company data by API at volume. Seats and credits both get awkward past the top of the price list. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

Data and coverage
Apollo is a database you search. FullEnrich is a service you send a list to. That difference shapes every other row in the table.
Apollo holds 240M contacts and 30M companies with titles, firmographics and a filter UI. You build an audience first, then spend credits to reveal emails and phones. FullEnrich lists 800M people and 50M companies for search, and the search results carry no emails or phones. Its own 1.6B figure is a customer quote about coverage, not a database size (FullEnrich MCP page, September 2026).
Email is where the two meet. Apollo charges one credit per email, and never more than one per contact. FullEnrich charges one credit for a work email and three for a personal one, and states about an 80% find rate on work emails (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). That rate is the vendor's own claim. We did not test it.
Seats matter here. Apollo's credits are pooled across the team, so extra reps add credits as well as logins. FullEnrich has unlimited users on every plan, so a team of one and a team of twenty pay the same for the same credits (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
Phones are where FullEnrich earns its price. Its waterfall queries 25+ sources and charges 10 credits per mobile found. Apollo charges 8 credits per phone number (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Neither publishes a phone count, so run a sample of your own list through both before you commit.
API and developer experience
Both tools have a REST API on every plan, and both return emails and phones. Apollo enriches one person with POST /api/v1/people/match. FullEnrich starts a bulk job with POST /contact/enrich/bulk. Placeholders below stand in for real people.
Apollo, match a person by name and company domain.
curl --request POST \
--url "https://api.apollo.io/api/v1/people/match?first_name=Jane&last_name=Doe&domain=acme.com" \
--header "x-api-key: $APOLLO_API_KEY" \
--header "Content-Type: application/json"The call costs 1 to 9 credits: 1 for an email or demographics, plus 8 if a mobile is returned (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Phones are off by default. You set reveal_phone_number and supply a webhook_url, or set poll_only (Apollo docs, September 2026). Bulk enrichment takes up to 10 people per request.
FullEnrich, start a bulk enrichment for one contact. It takes up to 100.
curl --request POST \
--url "https://app.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk" \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $FULLENRICH_API_KEY" \
--header "Content-Type: application/json" \
--data '{
"name": "Jane Doe",
"webhook_url": "https://example.com/webhook",
"data": [{
"first_name": "Jane",
"last_name": "Doe",
"domain": "acme.com",
"enrich_fields": ["contact.work_emails", "contact.phones"]
}]
}'The job is asynchronous. You get the result on your webhook, or you poll GET /bulk/{enrichment_id} (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). Apollo's single match can answer in the same call. FullEnrich's design suits batch pipelines better than a lookup inside a request.
The two tools also differ in how you send input. Apollo matches on a name and company domain, a LinkedIn URL or an email. FullEnrich takes a name with a domain or company name, or a LinkedIn URL.
Rate limits differ in shape. Apollo limits per team and per endpoint across three windows at once. Enrichment reaches 1,000 a minute on paid plans, and general endpoints allow 200 a minute and 2,000 a day on Basic and Professional (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). FullEnrich allows 60 calls a minute with 100 contacts per bulk request, which is 6,000 contacts a minute. Over the limit, both return HTTP 429.
On MCP, Apollo's server is a built-in connector in Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Replit and Cursor. Enrichment through it spends the same credits (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026). FullEnrich includes MCP on every plan and lists search, enrichment and export (FullEnrich MCP page, September 2026).
Pricing
Apollo bills per seat. Credits come with each seat, expire each cycle and do not roll over (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). FullEnrich bills credits on a slider, and unused credits roll over for 3 months on monthly plans and 12 on annual ones (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
The worked example is work-email lookups only, one credit each, at list price.
| Volume a month | Apollo.io | FullEnrich |
|---|---|---|
| 10,000 | 4 Basic seats: 4 x 2,500 = 10,000 credits. 4 x $65 = $260 monthly, 4 x $49 = $196 billed yearly | 10,000 credits: $499 monthly, $454 a month billed yearly |
| 1,000,000 | 250 Professional seats: 250 x 4,000 = 1,000,000 credits. 250 x $99 = $24,750 monthly. 400 Basic seats billed yearly: 400 x $49 = $19,600 | No public 1M price |
At 10,000 a month Apollo is cheaper for emails, about half the price on monthly billing. Add phones and the gap moves, because 10,000 mobiles cost 80,000 Apollo credits against 100,000 FullEnrich credits.
At 1M the Apollo figure is arithmetic on list prices, not a quote. It assumes Apollo sells 250 to 400 seats self-serve, which its public pages do not say. Apollo also prints no price per extra credit; extra credits are bought inside the app (Apollo pricing, September 2026). So a cheaper seats-plus-add-ons path cannot be priced.
FullEnrich publishes no 1M price. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500, and above that the page says contact sales. The yearly toggle stops at 1,200,000 credits a year for $37,800 (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). A million lookups in one month needs a quote.
Plan your credits against your hit rate. Apollo charges one credit only for emails it can verify (Apollo credits, September 2026). FullEnrich charges only for what it finds. Both lower the real cost per contact below the list rate, and neither publishes a hit rate you can plan on, apart from FullEnrich's own 80% claim.
Where Apollo wins
- A rep workspace. Sequences, a dialer and a filter UI sit in the same product as the data.
- Cheaper emails at small volume. 4 Basic seats cover 10,000 work emails for $260 a month.
- Looser rate limits on enrichment, at 1,000 a minute on paid plans.
- A synchronous match call, and an MCP server that is a built-in connector in major AI clients.
Where FullEnrich wins
- Mobile lookups. A waterfall over 25+ sources rather than one database.
- Pay for hits only. A miss or a landline costs nothing, and unused credits roll over.
- Unlimited users on every plan, with API, MCP and bulk CSV from the free trial up.
- Bigger search index on paper, at 800M people against Apollo's 240M contacts.
If you need volume through an API
LeadOcean is the data layer only: 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP. Pro is $499 a month flat with no credits or per-record price, and Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. The limit is 100 requests per second per key. POST /v1/exports takes up to 50,000 rows per request. LeadOcean has no sequencer, dialer or CRM, so it replaces neither tool for reps. See pricing.
