The cheapest Apollo plan is Free at $0, with 75 credits a month. The cheapest paid plan is Basic at $49 per seat a month, billed annually. Most teams buy Professional at $79 per seat, which Apollo marks "Most popular" (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
One credit buys one verified email. At list price that works out to about $0.02 a credit. A million emails a month is 1,000,000 credits, which takes 400 Basic seats and costs $19,600 a month.
Apollo is a sales workspace first and a data source second. Seats pay for the workspace, and credits pay for the data. If you only want the data, you pay for the workspace anyway.
Plans
Apollo sells four plans: Free, Basic, Professional and Organization. The FAQ also lists a Custom plan for SSO, custom volumes and dedicated support. Credits are pooled across every seat on the account, and all seats must be on the same plan.
| Plan | Price per seat a month | Credits per seat | Seats | API access | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 75 a month (900 a year) | 1 | "API Access" listed | 50 requests a minute, 600 a day. Selection limit 25. |
| Basic | $49 billed annually, $65 billed monthly | 2,500 a month (30,000 a year) | 1 or more | "API Enrichment" listed | 200 a minute, 2,000 a day on general endpoints. Selection limit 1,000. |
| Professional | $79 billed annually, $99 billed monthly | 4,000 a month (48,000 a year) | 1 or more | "API Enrichment" listed | Same API limits as Basic. Selection limit 2,500. |
| Organization | $119 billed annually, $149 shown for monthly | 6,000 a month (72,000 a year) | 3 minimum | "API Enrichment" listed | 200 a minute, 6,000 a day. Selection limit 10,000. |
| Custom | Contact sales | Custom | Custom | Custom | SSO, custom volumes, dedicated support. |
Source: Apollo pricing and Apollo rate limits, both checked September 2026. Apollo labels these prices as introductory and subject to change. Organization is shown as annual only when you switch the page to monthly billing, so the $149 figure is what the page displays, not a plan you can buy monthly.
Annual billing saves 24% on the page toggle. Enrichment endpoints are looser than the general limits: 1,000 requests a minute on every paid plan, with no hourly or daily cap (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). Limits are per team, not per API key.
What a credit buys
A credit is the unit Apollo charges for data. Email costs 1 credit. A phone number costs 8 credits. Apollo charges credits only for emails it can verify, and never more than 1 credit per contact for email (Apollo credits, September 2026).
| Action | Credit cost | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Email (personal, business or both) | 1 credit per contact | Apollo credits |
| Phone number (mobile, direct, extension) | 8 credits each | Apollo credits |
| API people enrichment | 1 to 9 credits: 1 for email, plus 8 if a mobile number returns | Apollo API pricing |
| API bulk people enrichment | Same as above, up to 10 people per request | Apollo API pricing |
| Waterfall email | Typically 1 to 4 credits, 20 or more on some vendor setups | Apollo API pricing |
| Waterfall phone | Typically 8 to 25 credits, 45 or more on some setups | Apollo API pricing |
| API organization enrichment | 1 credit per company | Apollo API pricing |
| API organization search | 1 credit per page of up to 100 results | Apollo API pricing |
| API news search | 1 credit per page of up to 25 results | Apollo API pricing |
| AI research | 1 credit per run | Apollo pricing |
| US dialer | 1 credit per 30 seconds | Apollo pricing |
All sources checked September 2026. Endpoints that create, update or list your own records cost 0 credits. Some waterfall vendors charge a credit even when they find nothing (Apollo API pricing).
Hidden costs
The sticker price is per seat. The real bill also depends on how you buy credits, how you pay and what the plan blocks.
- Credits expire. Unused credits vanish at the end of each billing cycle, including purchased add-on credits. A quiet month is a wasted month (Apollo pricing FAQ, September 2026).
- Add-on credits renew. Extra credits come from a slider in settings. They are charged at once and renew every cycle until you drag the slider back to zero. Apollo does not publish a price per extra credit. You add them with the slider under Settings, Manage Subscription, Customize Credits (Apollo pricing FAQ, October 2026).
- Monthly billing costs more. Basic is $65 billed monthly against $49 billed annually. That is 33% more for the same 2,500 credits. Mid-cycle downgrades on annual plans are not permitted.
- No plan mixing. Every seat on an account is on the same plan. One power user pulls the whole team up a tier.
- Organization has a floor. It needs 3 seats and is sold annually, so the entry cost is 3 x $119 = $357 a month.
- Add-ons cost extra. Inbound and Advanced Dialer are each $119 per team a month, billed annually (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
- Waterfall is variable. A phone lookup can cost 8 credits or 45 or more depending on the vendors you switch on.
- Selection limits slow bulk pulls. Basic caps one selection at 1,000 records. Saved records can be exported together, but you build the audience in batches.
- Internal use only. The plans on the pricing page do not allow reselling Apollo data or powering a product for your customers. That needs a separate agreement (Apollo pricing FAQ, September 2026).
Worked examples
All three examples assume one email per record, every record found, at 1 credit each. Credits cost about $0.0196 at the cheapest rate: $49 / 2,500 credits on an annual Basic seat. Pro and Organization seats land at $0.0198 a credit, so seat choice barely moves the price. The numbers below are list-price arithmetic. Apollo does not publish a per-credit price for add-ons, and nobody buys 400 seats to get credits. Ask Apollo for a quote at volume.
10k records a month
- Credits needed: 10,000.
- Basic, annual: 10,000 / 2,500 = 4 seats x $49 = $196 a month.
- Basic, monthly billing: 4 seats x $65 = $260 a month.
- With phones instead of emails: 10,000 x 8 = 80,000 credits, 32 seats, 32 x $49 = $1,568 a month.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. At this volume Apollo is cheaper for emails.
1M records a month
- Credits needed: 1,000,000.
- Basic, annual: 1,000,000 / 2,500 = 400 seats x $49 = $19,600 a month.
- Professional, annual: 1,000,000 / 4,000 = 250 seats x $79 = $19,750 a month.
- Organization, annual: 1,000,000 / 6,000 = 167 seats x $119 = $19,873 a month.
- With phones: 8,000,000 credits / 2,500 = 3,200 seats x $49 = $156,800 a month.
- Rate limit is not the constraint: 1M records at 10 per bulk request is 100,000 requests. At 1,000 a minute that is 100 minutes.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat.
25M records a month
- Credits needed: 25,000,000.
- Basic, annual: 25,000,000 / 2,500 = 10,000 seats x $49 = $490,000 a month.
- Bulk requests: 2,500,000 at 1,000 a minute is 2,500 minutes, about 42 hours.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute past the fair-usage line rather than cut off. One email to support gets more headroom.
Break-even against a $499 flat fee is about 25,000 emails a month. Below that, Apollo's seat math is cheaper. Above it, the gap widens with every record.
Is it worth it
Apollo is worth it if reps work inside it every day. The price buys a workspace, not just rows.
- Solo founder or one rep: Free is fine for testing at 75 credits a month. Basic at $49 covers 2,500 emails and sequencing. Do not go higher until credits run out.
- SDR team of 5 to 20: Professional is the one most teams buy. The pooled credits, waterfall enrichment and call recording justify $79 per seat if reps use them.
- RevOps or data engineer feeding a pipeline: You pay for seats that nobody logs into, and credits expire monthly. A flat fee is easier to forecast.
- Agency or product team: Standard Apollo plans are internal use only. Reselling the data needs a custom agreement.
- Large enterprise: Ask for Custom. SSO and volume terms are not on the public page.

Alternatives with a different price model
These three charge by found record or by flat fee, not by seat.
FullEnrich: pay per found contact. The Pro plan is $55 a month for 1,000 credits, which is $0.055 a credit, with unlimited users and rollover (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). A work email is 1 credit and a mobile number is 10. Volume brackets lower the per-credit price. See FullEnrich alternatives and /alternatives/fullenrich.
People Data Labs: pay per record retrieved. Free gives up to 100 credits a month with contact data obfuscated. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, with volume pricing above that and custom Enterprise terms (People Data Labs pricing, September 2026). It is an API product with no seats. See People Data Labs alternatives and /alternatives/people-data-labs.
LeadOcean: flat fee. Free is 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 100 requests per second per key and 5 API keys. There are no seats, no credits and no overage invoice. It covers 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP. It has no sequencer, dialer or CRM, so pair it with your own sending tool. See pricing.
