A ChatGPT sales plugin is a remote MCP server you add to ChatGPT. It lets ChatGPT search, enrich and verify contacts while you chat. Teams that prospect in ChatGPT need one that returns real records, not guesses, and a bill they can predict.
Since October 2026, ChatGPT adds a remote MCP server as a plugin. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, click +, choose Add custom MCP server, set the URL and OAuth, create it as a plugin, then type @ in a chat (OpenAI docs, October 2026). It is web only, and your workspace policy applies.
We read each vendor's own docs and price pages in September 2026 and priced 1M records a month from public list prices. Where a vendor publishes no 1M price, we say so. Related: Apollo alternatives, Lusha alternatives, Clay alternatives.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | Volume and agents | Free, then $97 a month | Agency, $497 a month |
| Apollo | Reps who want one app | Free, then $65 a seat a month | $24,750 a month ($19,600 billed yearly) |
| ZoomInfo | Enterprise accounts | Free, then credits from $20 | No public 1M price |
| Lusha | Small teams with a Chrome extension | Free, then $49.90 a month | No public 1M price |

| Icypeas | Cheap email credits | $19 a month | $3,992 a month ($3,326.67 billed yearly) |
Prices are USD list prices from each vendor's pricing page, September 2026. Monthly price first, billed-yearly figure after it.
What we evaluated
- ChatGPT setup. Does the vendor run a hosted MCP server with sign-in that ChatGPT accepts, and does it need an API key pasted into a chat?
- Tool surface. How many MCP tools, and do they cover search, enrich, phone and verify, or only email lookup?
- Pricing model. Credits, seats or a flat plan, and whether an empty lookup costs anything.
- Cost at 1M records a month. The cheapest public path, with the method stated. No public price means we do not multiply a rate out.
- Limits. Published rate limits and the plan you need to use the MCP server at all.
1. LeadOcean: best for volume and agents
LeadOcean is a people and company data API with a hosted MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp. It signs in with OAuth 2.1, so you paste no key. The dataset holds 693M people and 67M companies, and 366M of those people carry an email.
The MCP server has 13 tools: leadocean_search_leads, leadocean_get_lead, leadocean_find_phone, leadocean_search_companies, leadocean_get_company, leadocean_export_leads and the free ones (leadocean_count_leads, leadocean_count_companies, leadocean_list_filters, leadocean_list_enum_values, leadocean_get_account, leadocean_get_export, leadocean_list_exports). Counting first is the habit that saves money. Ask ChatGPT to size a list before it pulls one.
Pricing is flat. Every plan has the same data and every feature. The plan sets your pace and rights, and there are no credits to top up. Clients can register themselves through dynamic client registration at https://api.leadocean.io/oauth/register.
Pros
- Free count tools size a list before any record is spent.
- 13 tools cover search, enrich, phone, company and export in one server.
- Flat plans from $97 a month, with no per-record price and no overage invoice.
- Same data and every feature on the Free plan, 1,000 records for life, no card.
Cons
- No rep workspace. There are no sequences, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension.
- Free is 1,000 records once, not a monthly refill.
- Bulk CSV export is not on Free.
Best for: teams that pull data through an agent, an API or at volume. Compare LeadOcean with Apollo.
Pricing: Free $0 (1,000 records for life, 5 requests a second), Solo $97 a month (50 requests a second), Agency $497 a month (200 requests a second), Platform $1,997 a month (10,000 requests a second). Agency covers 1M records a month: it includes 25M search records a month and 1M enrichments a day (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. Apollo: best for reps who want one app

Apollo is a sales platform with a database, sequences and a dialer. It also has the most direct ChatGPT route here. Its official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp is a built-in connector in ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Replit and Cursor. Any plan qualifies, Free included, at no extra cost (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
The catch is credits. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8. MCP enrichment spends the same credits as the app, and credits expire at the end of each billing cycle (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
Rate limits depend on the plan. Paid enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute. Free allows 50 a minute and 600 a day (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).
Pros
- Built-in ChatGPT connector, on every plan.
- Sequences, dialer and database in one product.
- Enrichment endpoints reach 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans.
Cons
- Per-seat pricing with pooled credits that do not roll over.
- 1M email lookups need about 250 Professional seats at list price.
- The price of an extra credit is not public.
Best for: sales reps who want search, sequences and ChatGPT in one product. LeadOcean as an Apollo alternative.
Pricing: Free $0 with 75 credits a month. Basic $65 a seat a month ($49 billed yearly), Professional $99 ($79), Organization $149 ($119, minimum 3 seats). At 1M email lookups the cheapest monthly path is Professional: 250 seats, $24,750 a month, or $19,600 a month on Basic billed yearly (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
3. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise accounts
ZoomInfo has an official MCP server that works with ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and Copilot. It needs a free GTM AI account or an existing ZoomInfo subscription with data credits. Accounts that hold only recurring monthly credits cannot use it (ZoomInfo MCP docs, September 2026).
The self-serve route is GTM AI. Data credits are pay as you go from $20, with no contract and no seat fee. Search and lookup are free, and one credit enriches one record. A record is charged once per 12 months (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
The public ladder ends at 100,000 credits for $25,000 ($0.25 a credit). Larger volumes go to Enterprise sales, so there is no public 1M price. The classic ZoomInfo plan prices are behind a bot check, so we could not read them.
Pros
- Free GTM AI account with 1,000 data credits and MCP access, no card.
- Search is free, and a record is charged once per 12 months.
- ZoomInfo claims 100M+ companies and 500M+ contacts.
Cons
- No public price above 100,000 credits.
- Builder tier is 5 requests a second (GTM AI rate limits, September 2026).
- Batch enrichment takes at most 25 records per call.
Best for: enterprise teams already on ZoomInfo that want ChatGPT access to the same data. ZoomInfo alternatives.
Pricing: pay as you go from $20, $0.45 a credit at 100 credits down to $0.25 at 100,000 credits ($25,000). No public 1M price (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
4. Lusha: best for small teams with a Chrome extension

Lusha is a contact data platform with a Chrome extension and a large MCP server: 50 tools at https://mcp.lusha.com. It signs in with OAuth for ChatGPT and Claude, and with an API key for Cursor and VS Code. MCP calls use the same credit pool as the REST API (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).
Credits drive the cost. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5. One contact with both costs 7 credits through a single API request (Lusha API guide, September 2026).
The top public tier holds 10,000 credits a month. Past that, Scale is custom, so 1M records a month has no public price.
Pros
- 50 MCP tools, a wide surface for an agent.
- Free plan with 40 credits a month, no card.
- Chrome extension for reps who work in the browser.
Cons
- Credits for every email and phone.
- Premium rate limit is 300 requests a minute per key.
- No public price near 1M records.
Best for: small sales teams that want an extension and a ChatGPT plugin from one vendor. Lusha alternatives.
Pricing: Free $0 (40 credits a month). Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly). Pro $69.90 ($52.45). Premium $399.90 ($299.95). Scale is custom. No public 1M price (Lusha pricing, September 2026).
5. Clay: best for workflow builders

Clay is a table and workflow builder that waterfalls across many data providers. Its MCP server works in Claude and ChatGPT, and new accounts get 500 free credits on first connect (Clay MCP guide, September 2026).
Clay sells two meters: Actions and Data Credits. Credits start at $0.05 each, and a fully enriched record typically costs 6 to 20 credits, per Clay's own docs (Clay pricing, September 2026). The largest self-serve tier is 200,000 Actions and 50,000 Data Credits a month. Actions cannot be topped up, so 1M lookups a month has no public path.
The Public API publishes no request rate. Over the limit you get a 429 with Retry-After (Clay rate limits, September 2026).
Pros
- Waterfall enrichment across many providers in one table.
- Free plan, and the Public API is on every plan.
- Conditional runs skip rows that already have a value.
Cons
- Two meters (Actions and Data Credits) make cost hard to forecast.
- No public 1M price, and Enterprise is by quote.
- No published API rate limit.
Best for: RevOps builders who design enrichment workflows in tables. Clay alternatives.
Pricing: Free $0. Launch $185 a month ($167 billed yearly). Growth $495 ($446). Enterprise is custom. No public 1M price (Clay pricing, September 2026).
6. Anymail Finder: best for verified work emails only
Anymail Finder finds and verifies work emails, and nothing else. Its MCP server at https://api.anymailfinder.com/mcp has five actions and uses sign-in, so ChatGPT needs no key. A connection expires after twelve months (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).
The price is the strongest point. Searches that find no verified email are free. Credit packs run to 1,000,000 credits for $4,990, valid 12 months (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
It does not search by title or filter, and it has no phone numbers. The API docs state there are no rate limits (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026).
Pros
- No charge when no verified email is found.
- A public 1M pack at $4,990, one time.
- Unlimited team members on one credit pool.
Cons
- Email only: no phone numbers and no people search.
- Five MCP actions, with no bulk files or webhooks.
- Free trial needs a card to be verified.
Best for: teams that already have a target list and need verified work emails.
Pricing: from $29 a month for 400 credits. 1M credits cost $4,990 as a one-time pack (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). Related: Anymail Finder alternatives.
7. Icypeas: best for cheap email credits
Icypeas is an email finder with a hosted MCP server at https://mcp.icypeas.com/mcp and 21 tools. It has its own ChatGPT guide, and the MCP server is on every plan. You sign in with your API key (Icypeas MCP guide, September 2026).
A found email costs 1 credit, and a search that finds nothing costs nothing. The Hypergrowth selector lists a 1,000,000-credit tier at $3,992 a month. Prices exclude VAT (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).
Rate limits are low. Email search allows 10 calls a second (Icypeas rate limits, September 2026). The volume tiers sit in a selector that the text render hides, so re-check them on the live page before a large order.
Pros
- Public 1M tier at $3,992 a month.
- 21 MCP tools on every plan.
- Credits roll over with no expiry.
Cons
- Email-focused. Phone Finder is listed as coming soon.

- 10 calls a second on email search.
Best for: teams that want the lowest public price per found email.
Pricing: Basic $19 a month for 1,000 credits ($15.83 billed yearly), Premium $39, Advanced $89, Hypergrowth $499 for 100,000. The 1M tier is $3,992 a month, or $3,326.67 a month billed yearly (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). Related: Icypeas alternatives.
