An email finder returns the work email of a named person, or the emails at a company, from a name, a domain or a profile URL. Enterprise teams need one that holds up at volume, prices predictably, exposes an API and does not charge a seat for every user.
Most teams outgrow a tool on one of those four points. Credits run out mid-month. A per-seat plan multiplies by headcount. An API limit of 60 calls a minute stalls a pipeline. We ranked seven tools for that buyer, with list prices checked in September 2026. Our own alternative pages cover the detail: ZoomInfo, Apollo, Cognism, Hunter, Lusha and FullEnrich.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | Teams that pull data by API or agent at volume | Free, then $97 a month | $497 a month (Agency) |
| ZoomInfo | Enterprise suites with intent data and a rep workspace | Free GTM AI tier, then $0.45 a credit | No public 1M price |
| Apollo | Seat-based sales teams that want one login | $0 (75 credits a month), then $65 a seat monthly | $24,750 a month at list, monthly billing; $19,600 billed yearly |
| Cognism | EMEA mobile data and compliance-led buyers | No public price | No public 1M price |
| Hunter | Email-only lookups at a flat, low volume price | Free, then $49 a month | $6,900 once (Data Platform) |
| Lusha | Reps who work inside a browser extension | Free, then $49.90 a month | No public 1M price |
| FullEnrich | Waterfall enrichment across many sources | $29 a month | No public 1M price |
Costs at 1M assume 1,000,000 work-email lookups in a month. Where a vendor publishes no price at that size, we do not multiply a rate out. Prices are monthly list first, billed yearly after it.
What we evaluated
- Volume: the largest self-serve tier, the published rate limit, and whether 1M lookups a month is possible without a sales call.
- Price model: credits, seats, flat plan or contract, and what unused volume does at month end.
- API and MCP: whether the API is on every plan, the page size, and whether an official MCP server exists for agents.
- Seats and keys: what happens to the bill when 5, 25 or 250 people use it.
- Data source: one owned dataset or a waterfall, and how the email is verified before it is returned.
1. LeadOcean: best for teams that pull data in code or with an agent
LeadOcean is a people and company data API with 693M people and 67M companies. 366M people carry an email. You call it over REST or through a hosted MCP server with 13 tools. It is not a rep workspace: there is no sequencer, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension.
The price is flat. Free gives 1,000 records for life. Solo is $97 a month and Agency is $497 a month, with 1M enrichments a day and 200 requests a second. Paid plans have a fair-use pace, not credits, so there is no per-record price and no overage invoice (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
Seats are not the unit. Agency includes 5 keys and covers your own and your clients' work. Sizing is free: a search with count=true, and GET /v1/companies/count for company lists. Enrich by person with POST /v1/people/enrich, or search by domain with GET /v1/companies/{domain}/people.
Pros
- One flat price, so 1M lookups cost the same $497 as 100,000.
- Official MCP server with OAuth sign-in, no key pasted into a chat.
- Search and enrich in one schema, with 50 people filters.
- Free sizing calls and free misses: a 404 costs nothing.
Cons
- No sequencer, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension. Reps need another tool to send.
- Bulk CSV export is not on Free.
- The Free plan is 1,000 records once, at 5 requests a second.
Best for: engineering, RevOps and data teams that build lists in code or through an agent. Pricing: Free $0, Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 a month, Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise suites with intent data
ZoomInfo is the default enterprise sales intelligence suite. Its platform plans (Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise) carry no list price. The pricing page asks you to request one (ZoomInfo pricing, October 2026).
The self-serve route is GTM AI. Search and lookup are free. One data credit enriches one record, and a record is charged once per 12 months. Credits run from $0.45 each for 100 credits to $0.25 each for 100,000 credits, the top of the slider at $25,000 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). Past that it is Enterprise, quote only.
The API limit depends on the package: 5 requests a second on Builder, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026). ZoomInfo also runs an official MCP server.
Pros
- Buyer intent signals, a Chrome extension and CRM integrations in one suite.
- Re-enriching a record inside 12 months costs no extra credit.
- Free tier with 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits, no card.
- Official MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.
Cons
- No public price at 1M. The slider stops at 100,000 credits.
- Batch enrichment takes at most 25 records per call.
- Platform plans are quote only, not self-serve.
Best for: large sales teams that want signals and a workspace, and will buy through sales. Pricing: GTM AI credits from $0.45 down to $0.25 each at 100,000 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
3. Apollo: best for seat-based sales teams

Apollo is a sales platform with a contact database, sequencing and a dialer on top. It prices per seat, with credits granted per seat each month. Plans run Free at $0 with 75 credits, Basic at $65, Professional at $99 and Organization at $149 per seat a month. Billed yearly, the same plans are $49, $79 and $119 (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8. Credits pool across the team, expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over. Every plan includes API access, and the official MCP server works on any plan.
At volume the seat model bites. 1M email lookups at 4,000 credits per Professional seat means 250 seats at $99, or $24,750 a month at list. Billed yearly, 400 Basic seats at $49 comes to $19,600 a month. The price of extra credits is not public.
Pros
- Database, sequencer and dialer under one login.
- API and MCP on every plan, Free included.
- Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans.
Cons
- Seats set the credit pool, so a large pull means buying seats.
- Credits expire each cycle.
- A phone number costs 8 credits.
- Organization needs at least 3 seats.
Best for: teams of reps who live in the app and send from it. Pricing: $65 a seat monthly ($49 billed yearly) for Basic (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
4. Cognism: best for EMEA mobile data and compliance-led buyers

Cognism sells sales prospecting in Standard and Pro plans, 5 seats each, and publishes no dollar price. Pricing is tailored by team setup and usage (Cognism pricing, September 2026). One credit reveals one contact, and a revealed contact is free to view again unless the person changes jobs.
The API is built for programmatic use. It allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation. Search pages take up to 100 records, and cursor pagination runs to 100,000 records per journey (Cognism rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server has 15 tools, mapped one to one onto the API (Cognism MCP docs, September 2026).
Cognism claims over 10m phone-verified contacts globally, with Do Not Call checks in 15 territories. It is a quote-only purchase, so you cannot size it before a sales call.
Pros
- Phone-verified mobile numbers with on-demand verification.
- Official MCP server with OAuth 2.0 sign-in.
- Credits are not spent again when you re-view a revealed contact.
Cons
- No public price at any size, including 1M.
- Credit allocation per seat is not published.
- Access to the API and MCP needs a package that includes it.
Best for: EMEA outbound teams that value verified mobiles and will buy through sales. Pricing: quote only (Cognism pricing, September 2026).
5. Hunter: best for low-cost email-only lookups
Hunter is an email finder with verification and outreach attached. All-in-one plans bill monthly at Starter $49 for 2,000 credits, Growth $149 for 10,000 and Scale $299 for 25,000. Billed yearly they are $34, $104 and $209 a month. Unlimited team members share one credit pool (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
For volume, Hunter splits the product. Data Platform is API and bulk only, and sells Search credits as one-off purchases valid 12 months. 1,000,000 credits cost $6,900 (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026). That is the cheapest published 1M price on this list after LeadOcean.
Rate limits are per endpoint: 15 requests a second and 500 a minute on Email Finder and Domain Search (Hunter API docs, September 2026). A rate-limited call returns 403, not 429. Hunter has an official MCP server included in all plans.
Pros
- Published 1M price of $6,900, paid once.
- Unlimited team members on all-in-one plans.
- No credit charged when nothing is found.
Cons
- It is an email index. No titles-and-industries search across a market.
- Credits reset monthly on monthly plans and do not carry over.
- Rate limits are per endpoint, and 403 means rate limit, which trips up error handling.
Best for: teams that already know the domain and need the email, at a flat low price. Pricing: Starter $49 a month, or $34 billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
6. Lusha: best for reps who work in a browser extension

Lusha is a contact data tool built around a browser extension and credits. Free gives 40 credits a month. Starter is $49.90 a month for 400 credits, Pro is $69.90 for 600 and Premium is $399.90 for 3,400. Billed yearly they drop to $37.45, $52.45 and $299.95 a month (Lusha pricing, September 2026).
An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 5. Premium includes 5 seats, expandable to 25. Every plan gets an API key, and the Lusha MCP server has 50 tools that share the API credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).
Volume is the limit. The top public tier is 10,000 credits a month, so 1M lookups is far past the page. Scale is custom through sales. API limits on Premium are 300 requests a minute and 18,000 a day (Lusha API docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Browser extension for one-off lookups on profiles.
- 50-tool MCP server on the same credit pool.
- Clear published prices up to Premium.
Cons
- No public price at 1M. The largest listed plan is 10,000 credits a month.
- A phone number costs 5 credits.
- Daily API caps on lower plans: 100 a day on Free and Starter.
Best for: reps who look up contacts one at a time while they browse. Pricing: Starter $49.90 a month, or $37.45 billed yearly (Lusha pricing, September 2026).
7. FullEnrich: best for waterfall enrichment
FullEnrich runs a waterfall across 25+ data sources and returns the first verified email. Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, and billed yearly it is $26 a month. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month, or $0.035 a credit (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. A miss costs nothing. API, MCP, search and bulk CSV are on every plan, and users are unlimited on every plan. Unused credits roll over 3 months on monthly plans and 12 months on annual plans.
The API allows 60 calls a minute across Enrich, Reverse Email and Search, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich API docs, September 2026). Above 100,000 credits a month, contact sales.
Pros
- Unlimited users on every plan.
- You pay only for a match. A miss costs 0 credits.
- Credits roll over, which absorbs a quiet month.
Cons
- No public price at 1M. The monthly ladder stops at 100,000 credits.
- 60 API calls a minute is a low ceiling for a pipeline.
- Mobile numbers cost 10 credits.
Best for: teams that care about find rate more than price per lookup. Pricing: Pro from $29 a month, or $26 billed yearly (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Verdict
LeadOcean wins for any enterprise team that pulls data through an API or an agent. 1M lookups cost the same $497 a month, and nothing is metered per seat. Hunter is the next cheapest published price at 1M, at $6,900 once, but it only finds emails from a domain. ZoomInfo wins for a suite with intent data, Apollo for a team that wants one login for data and sending, and Cognism for EMEA mobile data. Lusha and FullEnrich are good tools with no public price at 1M, so size them on a sales call before you commit.
