Crunchbase Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What 1M Records Cost

Crunchbase sells seats and export rows, not credits. Pro, Business and a quote-only API. Here is what 10k, 1M and 25M records a month look like.

The cheapest paid Crunchbase plan is Pro, reported at $99 a month, or $49 a month billed yearly ($588). Business is reported at $199 a month on annual billing, with a monthly price on request (EasyVC, September 2026). Crunchbase does not say which plan most teams buy. EasyVC lists Business for teams that need CRM integrations.

Crunchbase publishes no price at 1M records. Its own pages show no dollar figures: Pro offers a free trial and Business says "Talk to Sales" (Crunchbase Pro, September 2026). Its price page blocks automated readers, so every plan price here is reported by a named third party.

Plans

Crunchbase sells Pro, Business and an API licence. The plan prices below are third-party reports because Crunchbase's own pricing page blocks automated readers. Treat them as reported and confirm at checkout.

Source: Crunchbase pricing page, EasyVC and Startupik, all checked September 2026. Plan prices and export caps are reported by those two reviews. API terms come from the Crunchbase API docs and the MCP access guide.

Third-party listings disagree. One lists plans at $49 and $99 a user a month under different names, and another lists $29 and $49. We used the two sources that match each other and the vendor's own trial and sales wording.

Access to the full API needs an Enterprise or Applications licence. A Crunchbase Basic plan is limited to the Basic APIs (Crunchbase API docs, September 2026).

What a credit buys

Crunchbase has no public credit meter. You pay for a seat, and the seat carries a monthly export-row cap. The table shows what each action costs against that cap.

Hidden costs

The sticker price is a seat. The bill grows with exports, seats and the AI and API add-ons.

  • Exports are capped, not metered. Pro stops at 2,000 rows a month and Business at 5,000, as reported. A 10,000-row pull does not fit on either one seat.
  • Annual billing halves the price. Pro is $99 monthly against $49 a month on a yearly plan. Monthly buyers pay about double (EasyVC, September 2026).
  • Annual prices can be intro offers. Startupik says the $49 figure is often a first-year offer and may change at renewal (Startupik, September 2026).
  • The API is a separate contract. Full API access needs an Enterprise or Applications licence. There is no self-serve key.
  • MCP is a separate purchase. It needs the Business base product on every seat that uses it. Seats cannot be shared (Crunchbase MCP access, September 2026).
  • Rate limit is 200 calls a minute. The docs say to contact your CSM if you keep hitting it (Crunchbase API docs, September 2026).
  • Resale is restricted. Unless your licence says otherwise, you may not sell or give Crunchbase data to third parties. Attribution with a visible link is required (Crunchbase API docs, October 2026).
  • The MCP tool reference mentions metering. It lists a tool that returns meter states and limits, with no figures published (Crunchbase tool reference, September 2026).

Worked examples

All examples count one exported or fetched row per record. Plan prices are the reported ones. Where Crunchbase publishes no price, the example shows the cap arithmetic only and does not multiply a rate out.

10k records a month

  • One Pro seat exports 2,000 rows a month, so 10,000 rows is 5 months of exports. At $99 monthly that is 5 x $99 = $495 over those 5 months.
  • One Business seat exports 5,000 rows a month, so 10,000 rows is 2 months of exports, or 2 x $199 = $398 billed yearly. Crunchbase does not publish whether a second seat raises the cap.
  • Past one seat, the API licence is the other route, and it is quote only.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat.

1M records a month

  • No public price at 1M.
  • Business exports 5,000 rows a month, so 1,000,000 rows is 1,000,000 / 5,000 = 200 seat-months. Nobody sells a plan this way, so the real route is a data licence on quote.
  • The API limit is 200 calls a minute, or 12,000 an hour. The licence, not the limit, is the gate.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. Exports run up to 50,000 rows per request and 500,000 rows a day, so 1M is 20 requests over 2 days.

25M records a month

  • No public price at 25M.
  • 25,000,000 / 5,000 = 5,000 Business seat-months. That is not a plan. It is a bespoke data deal (Crunchbase Data, September 2026).
  • The real number is for Crunchbase sales to give. Data licensing for customer-facing products is a separate contract again.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. 25M is past the 10,000,000 export ceiling per period, and a very large month is paced down to one request a minute past the fair-usage line, not cut off. One email to support gets more headroom.

For research of up to 2,000 rows a month, Pro at $49 a month billed yearly costs far less than LeadOcean Pro at $499. Past one seat of exports, the flat fee wins or the Crunchbase quote decides.

Is it worth it

Crunchbase is worth it when you need funding history, investor data and private-market predictions. You are paying for deal intelligence, not for a bulk feed.

  • Founder or analyst doing research: Pro on a yearly plan is the cheapest way in. Work inside 2,000 export rows a month.
  • Investor or deal team: Business adds predictions and CRM integrations, per the Crunchbase Business page.
  • Sales team building account lists: The row cap decides. If you need more than 5,000 rows a month, you are in quote territory.
  • Data engineer feeding a pipeline: You need an API licence, a negotiated price and a 200-calls-a-minute limit. A flat fee is easier to forecast.
  • AI agent builder: MCP needs a separate purchase and a Business seat per user. Seats are tied to a person.

Alternatives with a different price model

These three price by record or a flat fee, not by seat and export row.

Coresignal: credits per record. Pro is $499 a month for 35,000 credits and Premium is $1,500 a month for 1,000,000 credits. A base company record costs 10 credits (Coresignal pricing, September 2026). 1M company records is 10,000,000 credits, which is one Elite month at $5,000. That figure is derived from list prices, not a published 1M price.

People Data Labs: pay per company record. Company Pro starts at $100 a month for 1,000 records, or $960 a year billed yearly. PDL advises Enterprise above 400,000 company profiles a year (PDL company pricing, September 2026). It publishes no price at 1M.

LeadOcean: flat fee. Free is 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 100 requests per second per key and 5 API keys. There are no credits and no overage invoice. It covers 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP. It has no deal-history or prediction product, so use it for company and contact lists. FAQ

How much does Crunchbase cost per month?

Pro is reported at $99 a month, or $49 a month billed yearly ($588). Business is reported at $199 a month billed yearly ($2,388). The API is quote only (EasyVC, September 2026).

Is there a free Crunchbase plan?

Yes, a limited one for viewing basic profiles. Search filters, exports and alerts need a paid plan. Crunchbase's own page offers a free trial of Pro (Crunchbase Pro, September 2026).

Does Crunchbase have an API, and what does it cost?

Yes, but not self-serve. Full access needs an Enterprise or Applications licence, with a price from sales. The rate limit is 200 calls a minute (Crunchbase API docs, September 2026).

How many rows can I export from Crunchbase?

Pro is reported at 2,000 rows a month and Business at 5,000 (EasyVC, September 2026). The cap counts rows, not searches. Check whether it applies per seat before you add seats.

Does Crunchbase work with Claude or ChatGPT over MCP?

Yes, at https://mcp.crunchbase.com with OAuth 2.1. MCP is bought separately, and each user needs a Business seat and an MCP seat (Crunchbase MCP guide, September 2026).

What does 1M records a month cost on Crunchbase?

There is no public price. The plans cap exports at thousands of rows a month, so 1M needs a negotiated data licence. LeadOcean Pro is $499 a month flat.
