The cheapest plan is Free: 5 credits a month, or 10 if you install the browser extension. The cheapest paid plan is $69 a month, or $57 a month billed yearly, and every paid plan starts at that price (SignalHire pricing, September 2026). At that price the Emails plan gives 1,000 credits a month, or 12,000 a year.
SignalHire has no public price at 1M records. The self-serve plans stop at 2,000 credits a month, the fair-usage cap on the Unlimited packages. That is 0.2% of 1M. Anything bigger is the Scale plan, and the pricing page says to contact sales.
The catch is the credit pool. Phones and Emails & Phones plans get 435 credits a month, less than half of the Emails plan for the same $69. The pricing page does not say whether unused credits roll over.
Plans
SignalHire sells three self-serve plans plus Free and Scale. Each plan comes as a credit pack or an Unlimited package, and the Unlimited package is capped at 2,000 credits a month by a fair usage policy. All paid plans list unlimited users, 900M+ profiles, unlimited exports, a browser extension, ATS and CRM integrations and API access.

Source: SignalHire pricing, September 2026. Prices are USD list prices. Per-credit figures are the plan price divided by its credits. The yearly Phones pool is 5,400 credits, not 12 x 435 = 5,220, as printed on the page.
Yearly billing on the Emails plan saves $144 a year: $828 billed monthly against $684. If you cancel, remaining credits last until the end of the current billing cycle (pricing page FAQ).
What a credit buys
One credit buys one matched contact. On the website, a click subtracts a credit only if at least one email address or phone number comes back (SignalHire pricing FAQ, September 2026). The API charges per matched profile, and a miss is not charged (SignalHire API docs, September 2026).
| Action | Credit cost | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Reveal a contact (email or phone) | 1 standard credit if at least one is returned | Pricing |
| Person API with contacts | 1 standard credit per matched profile, shared with the site and extension | API pricing |
| Person API without contacts | Separate credit type, bought through support | API pricing |
| People search API | Daily quota on queries and on profiles returned | API pricing |
Company info (/company/info) | 1 company credit per call | API pricing |
Company profiles (/company/getProfiles) | Daily profile quota, up to 2,000 profiles a day | API pricing |
| Company find by ID, company count | No credits | API pricing |
All sources checked September 2026. The balance endpoint is GET https://www.signalhire.com/api/v1/credits, and every API response carries an X-Credits-Left header (SignalHire credits docs, September 2026).
Hidden costs
The headline price hides how the credits are split. These are the items that change the bill.
- Credits are locked to a channel. The Emails plan reveals emails only. The Phones plan reveals phone numbers only. Switching channel means switching plan.
- Phones cost about twice as much per credit. Yearly, a phone credit is $0.127 and an email credit $0.057. Monthly, it is $0.159 against $0.069.
- The API runs on three credit systems. Standard contact credits, without-contacts credits and company credits are separate balances (SignalHire API docs, September 2026). Without-contacts credits need an email to support.
- Search is a quota, not a credit. The search API tracks queries and profiles returned against daily limits that vary by plan, and trial accounts get much lower limits.
- Throughput is capped. Paid accounts get 600 items a minute and trial accounts 5, with 100 items per request. Going over returns HTTP 429 (SignalHire rate limits, September 2026).
- Results arrive by callback. The default Person API mode is asynchronous. You host an endpoint that accepts a POST and answers HTTP 200 within 10 seconds (SignalHire API docs, September 2026).
- The MCP server needs an API key. Even with OAuth sign-in, the docs say nothing works until the account has an API key. Revealing contacts still spends contact credits (SignalHire MCP docs, September 2026).
- "Unlimited" means 2,000 credits a month. The fair usage policy on the Unlimited packages limits spending to 2k credits a month.
- No public price above 2,000 credits a month. Scale is quote-only, so budgeting a large volume means a sales call.
- Free is for testing. Five credits is five reveals.
Worked examples
These use the list prices above. 10k is arithmetic on the self-serve plans, and the pricing page does not say you can stack subscriptions. 1M and 25M have no public price, so only the volume math is shown.
10k emails a month
- Credits needed: 10,000.
- The largest self-serve pool is Emails Unlimited, capped at 2,000 a month.
- Five Emails Unlimited packages at monthly billing: 5 x $79 = $395 a month. Yearly: 5 x $63 = $315 a month. Both assume stacking is allowed.
- Ten 1,000-credit Emails plans: 10 x $69 = $690 a month.
- Scale is the route the page names for large volumes.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat.
1M emails a month
- Credits needed: 1,000,000.
- No public 1M price. The largest listed pool is 2,000 a month, so 1M is 500 times the biggest self-serve plan.
- Throughput: at 600 items a minute, 1,000,000 / 600 = 1,667 minutes, about 28 hours of nonstop calls.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat.
25M emails a month
- Credits needed: 25,000,000.
- No public 25M price. Scale needs a quote.
- Throughput: at 600 items a minute, 25,000,000 / 600 = 41,667 minutes, about 29 days of nonstop calls. A 30-day month leaves little room.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute past the fair-usage line rather than cut off. One email to support gets more headroom.
At 10k emails a month, stacked Unlimited packages would come in under $499, if SignalHire allows it. Past that, SignalHire is a negotiated price, so you cannot compare it line by line.
Is it worth it
SignalHire is worth it for people hunting individual contacts, mostly recruiters and small sales teams. It is a weak fit when you need a priced, predictable pipeline.
- Solo recruiter or founder: The Emails plan at $57 a month billed yearly gives 12,000 emails a year. Try the 5 to 10 free credits first.
- Small sales team: Users are unlimited, so you never pay per rep. The limit is the credit pool, 435 phone credits a month on the shared plans.
- Recruiting team with an ATS: ATS and CRM integrations are listed on every paid plan. This is where SignalHire is strongest.
- RevOps or data engineer: The API works, but you manage a callback server, three credit types and a 600 items a minute cap.
- High volume, 1M or more: There is no public price and no way to size the bill. Ask for a quote or use a flat-fee API.

Alternatives with a different price model
These three charge by found contact, by seat or by flat fee.
FullEnrich: pay per found contact. Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, or $26 a month billed yearly. The default tier is $55 a month for 1,000 credits. A work email is 1 credit, a mobile number is 10, and a miss is free. Users are unlimited. There is no public price at 1M: the top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). See FullEnrich alternatives.
Apollo: pay per seat. Basic is $65 a seat monthly or $49 billed yearly. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, and credits expire each billing cycle (Apollo pricing, September 2026; Apollo API pricing, September 2026). At list price, 1M work emails is $24,750 a month on Professional monthly billing. See Apollo alternatives.
LeadOcean: flat fee. Free is 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 100 requests per second per key and 5 API keys. There are no credits and no overage invoice. It covers 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP, and the app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download. It has no sequencer, dialer or CRM. See pricing.
