ZoomInfo is a sales suite with a credit-metered API on top. BlitzAPI is a data API that sells flat monthly plans. ZoomInfo wins for revenue teams that want signals and one login. BlitzAPI wins for builders who want a predictable bill: its plans list at $399 to $599 a month, while ZoomInfo prints no price at 1M.

Verdict

  • Pick ZoomInfo if reps need intent signals, direct dials, CRM sync and a conversation tool in one contract, or phones outside the US (ZoomInfo Sales, September 2026).
  • Pick BlitzAPI if you are building and want people, company and job-posting data over REST, billed at a flat monthly fee. New accounts run at the standard 5 requests per second per endpoint (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026).
  • Pick neither if you need a flat price for 1M records a month that a new account can read today, plus a documented bulk export. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

Data and coverage

BlitzAPI lists more profiles, and ZoomInfo lists more phones. BlitzAPI counts 550M+ profiles and 65M+ companies (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). ZoomInfo's Sales page lists 420M+ contacts and 145M+ companies, and its MCP docs round up to 500M+ and 100M+ (ZoomInfo Sales, September 2026). All of these are vendor claims, and the ZoomInfo figures differ between its own pages.

Emails are a different trade. ZoomInfo claims 174M-plus verified emails. BlitzAPI claims 65M+. It says it never guesses an address from a name pattern, so an address it cannot prove comes back "Not Found" (BlitzAPI quality docs, September 2026). A smaller, stricter set suits a team that protects its sending domain. A larger set suits a team that wants reach.

Phones are where the gap is widest. ZoomInfo claims 120M+ direct dials on one line and 70M+ phone numbers on another, with no accuracy rate. BlitzAPI has 45M+ US numbers and nothing outside the US, and phone endpoints are not available on its free trial (BlitzAPI llms-full, September 2026). If you call outside North America, that settles it.

The products also start from different places. ZoomInfo starts from an account: search on 300+ attributes, then enrich the people. It adds buyer intent, website visitor tracking and conversation intelligence (ZoomInfo Sales, September 2026). BlitzAPI starts from the data layer: company and people search, enrichment, hiring signals and TAM building, with 100M+ job postings behind them.

API and developer experience

Both have a REST API and an MCP server, and they suit different builders. ZoomInfo's API is built for enterprise apps: OAuth 2.0 tokens, JSON:API media types and an enrich call that takes up to 25 contacts. BlitzAPI's is a single header key and a flat JSON body. Placeholders below stand in for real people.

ZoomInfo, enrich a contact by ID. Search is free, so the usual pattern is to search first and enrich by ID.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/data/v1/contacts/enrich" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $ZOOMINFO_ACCESS_TOKEN" \
  -H "accept: application/vnd.api+json" \
  -H "content-type: application/vnd.api+json" \
  -d '{"data":{"type":"ContactEnrich","attributes":{"matchPersonInput":[{"personId":1234567890}],"outputFields":["id","email","companyName"],"requiredFields":["id"]}}}'

Each returned record charges one credit unless it is already under management, and a "No match" or an error charges nothing (ZoomInfo enrich docs, September 2026). The fields you can request depend on your account's access, so confirm phone access before you plan around it.

BlitzAPI, find a work email from a LinkedIn URL.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.blitz-api.ai/v2/enrichment/email" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "x-api-key: $BLITZAPI_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"person_linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe"}'

The response carries found, the email and an all_emails list. A call that finds nothing returns found: false and counts no result (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Its docs list typed Python and TypeScript clients for retries and pagination.

On MCP, both are real. ZoomInfo's official server works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Copilot, but it needs a GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription with data credits (ZoomInfo MCP docs, September 2026). BlitzAPI's main server maps one tool to every endpoint, so an agent can search and enrich directly. It also offers a docs-only server at docs.blitz-api.ai/mcp that needs no sign-in (BlitzAPI MCP docs, October 2026).

Limits differ in shape. ZoomInfo applies three windows at once: per second, per hour and per day. A Standard plan allows 25 a second, 54,000 an hour and 648,000 a day, and a 429 comes back with Retry-After (ZoomInfo rate limits, September 2026). BlitzAPI's standard rate is 5 a second per endpoint, and accounts opened by September 30, 2026 run at 50 (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026).

BlitzAPI's search depth stops at 50,000 results per query. Slice bigger pulls into filters that each stay under that line (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Pricing

BlitzAPI is cheaper at 10,000 records, the one volume both vendors let you price. ZoomInfo's credit covers one company, contact or intent record. BlitzAPI's plans pick the data type, not the record count. Prices below are monthly list first. BlitzAPI publishes no billed-yearly figure, and GTM AI is pay as you go.

10,000 records a month

  • ZoomInfo: 10,000 data credits sit in the $0.38 band, so 10,000 x $0.38 = $3,800. GTM AI is pay as you go with no contract. A record is charged once per 12 months, so re-enriching it inside that window costs nothing (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). The 70% first-purchase promotion is not a list price and is left out.
  • BlitzAPI: $499 a month for Plus (emails), $399 for Core (no emails or phones) or $599 for Full (adds US phones). Paid plans have no credits, so the cost is the plan fee (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026). BlitzAPI has not published the fair use volume for accounts opened from October 2026, so confirm 10,000 results fits before you buy.

Per record that is $0.38 against about $0.05 on Plus, roughly 8 times apart, before any ZoomInfo volume discount.

1M records a month

  • ZoomInfo: No public 1M price. The GTM AI slider stops at 100,000 data credits for $25,000, which is $0.25 a credit. Above that, volume goes to Enterprise sales (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). ZoomInfo's platform plans are quoted by sales, and its pricing page blocks automated reads.
  • BlitzAPI: No public 1M price for new accounts. Accounts opened by September 30, 2026 had a fair use line of 15,000,000 results a month, so one Plus plan at $499 covered 1M emails. For accounts opened from October 2026 the pricing page still lists Plus at $499, but publishes no monthly volume (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026). Ask BlitzAPI in writing whether 1M results fits.

Do not multiply a ZoomInfo rate out to 1M. The $0.38 rate is the $1,000 tier only, and the $0.25 rate may not hold at 10 times the volume. For BlitzAPI, the 15M line and the 50 requests per second apply to accounts opened by September 30, 2026 (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). For later accounts, only the standard 5 requests per second is published.

Time matters at 1M. At the standard 5 requests per second, 1,000,000 / 5 = 200,000 seconds, about 2.3 days. At the older 50 it was 20,000 seconds, about 5.6 hours. ZoomInfo's enrich call takes 25 contacts, so 1M records is 40,000 calls.

Where ZoomInfo wins

ZoomInfo is a suite for revenue teams. It connects to CRMs, adds buyer intent and website visitor data, and ships a sales cadence tool. It claims more phones and a global footprint (ZoomInfo Sales, September 2026). A rep team that wants one login and signals on named accounts should buy it.

Its newer GTM AI product also lowers the entry barrier. Search, lookup and find similar are free. The free tier includes API and MCP access with 1,000 data credits, and credits do not expire while the account is active (GTM AI docs, September 2026). That is a fair deal for an agent that browses a lot and enriches a little.

Where BlitzAPI wins

BlitzAPI is the simpler purchase and the cheaper one at volume. The plan is a flat monthly fee with no credits on paid plans, and you can cancel any time (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026). You can read the price before you talk to anyone.

It also has data ZoomInfo's API pages do not feature: 100M+ job postings and hiring-signal endpoints (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Its emails are re-tested every 30 days, and a miss costs nothing. The weak spots are real. Phones are US only, and paid plans carry no SLA (BlitzAPI llms-full, September 2026). No bulk export is documented in its docs or API.

If you need volume through an API

LeadOcean is a people and company data API with a hosted MCP server. Free gives 1,000 records one-off with no card, and Pro is $499 a month flat with whole-database access over REST and MCP at 100 requests per second per key. Export up to 50,000 rows per request with POST /v1/exports, and call count_leads first because counts are free. It is the data layer only, with no rep workspace, sequencer or Chrome extension. See pricing.
