ZoomInfo vs Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) (2026): Data, Pricing and API Compared

ZoomInfo sells its own contact database, now by the credit through GTM AI. Clearbit is HubSpot enrichment, priced as part of a HubSpot plan. Here is how they compare at 1M records.

ZoomInfo is a contact database you can search and pay for by the record. Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) fills in records that already sit in HubSpot. They solve different problems, and only one of them finds people you do not have.

ZoomInfo has two ways in. The platform is the sales suite, and its plan prices sit behind a human check on zoominfo.com/pricing. GTM AI is the newer pay-as-you-go API and MCP product. This page compares GTM AI with Clearbit, because that is where ZoomInfo's prices are public. All figures were checked in September 2026, and where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.

Verdict

  • Pick ZoomInfo if you want to search a first-party database, get direct dials and read a rate limit before you buy. Search is free, and a record is charged once per 12 months (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
  • Pick Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) if your contacts and companies already live in HubSpot and you want them filled in with no code (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
  • Pick neither if you want to pull volume through an API at a price you can read. Neither publishes a 1M price. LeadOcean is one option: Pro is $499 a month, flat.

Data and coverage

ZoomInfo publishes counts and Clearbit does not. ZoomInfo's Sales page claims 420M+ contacts and 145M+ companies, while its MCP docs say 500M+ and 100M+. Two of its own pages disagree, so treat both as marketing claims (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026; GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026).

Clearbit's homepage gives no people, company or phone count (Clearbit, September 2026). It says it covers every country and language. That is a claim, not a number, and there is nothing to compare it with.

The two also do different jobs. ZoomInfo is a database you search by filter, and it returns people you did not have. Clearbit starts from a business email or a company domain you already hold and fills in blank properties (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

Phones favour ZoomInfo on paper. It sells direct dials as a core feature and claims 120M+ of them, though its Sales page gives no accuracy rate. HubSpot's enrichment docs state no phone coverage for Clearbit.

Clearbit has the richer company fields. Its homepage lists NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalised role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). ZoomInfo's Sales page says you can filter on 300+ attributes (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026).

You cannot settle coverage on paper. Run the same 500 people through both, using a LinkedIn URL or work email as the input.

API and developer experience

ZoomInfo has a public API you can read before you pay. Clearbit's documentation redirects to a sign-in page, so you cannot read it first (Clearbit docs, September 2026). New Clearbit sign-ups have needed a HubSpot account since December 2023 (Clearbit release notes, September 2026).

ZoomInfo authenticates with an OAuth bearer token and sends JSON:API content types (ZoomInfo API conventions, September 2026). Enrich takes up to 25 contacts per call and charges a credit for each new record (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026). This is the call from its docs, with a placeholder person:

bash
curl --request POST \
  --url https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/data/v1/contacts/enrich \
  --header "Authorization: Bearer $ZOOMINFO_ACCESS_TOKEN" \
  --header "accept: application/vnd.api+json" \
  --header "content-type: application/vnd.api+json" \
  --data '{"data":{"attributes":{"matchPersonInput":[{"firstName":"Jane","lastName":"Doe","companyName":"Acme"}],"outputFields":["id","email","companyName"]},"type":"ContactEnrich"}}'

Clearbit has no public request to show. The docs sit behind a sign-in. Most HubSpot users never call it. They switch on data enrichment as a Super Admin, and new records fill themselves (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

Rate limits favour ZoomInfo because it publishes them. Builder gets 5 requests a second and 129,600 a day. Scaling gets 35 a second and 907,200 a day. A second ZoomInfo page lists 25 a second as the default, so check which applies to you (ZoomInfo rate limits, September 2026). Clearbit publishes no rate limit.

For agents, ZoomInfo's MCP server works in Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Copilot (GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026). We found no MCP server for Clearbit enrichment. HubSpot's remote server reads and writes CRM records such as contacts and deals (HubSpot MCP docs, October 2026).

Pricing

ZoomInfo GTM AI charges per data credit. Clearbit charges nothing of its own, and its cost is the HubSpot plan you need to run it. Prices below use the monthly list first, with the billed-yearly figure after it where one exists.

At 10,000 records a month. ZoomInfo's list price is $0.38 a credit in the 2,500 to 10,000 credit tier. One credit buys one contact, so 10,000 x $0.38 = $3,800 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). A record is charged once per 12 months. If 3,000 of your contacts were enriched earlier in the year, you pay for 7,000. Search and lookup are free (ZoomInfo credit docs, September 2026).

Clearbit at 10,000 has no per-record price. Enrichment uses no HubSpot Credits, so the cost is the HubSpot seat you already pay for, if HubSpot allows the volume (HubSpot docs, September 2026). HubSpot publishes no monthly cap. An index page takes 100 records at a time, so 10,000 / 100 = 100 batches.

At 1M records a month. ZoomInfo has no public 1M price. The GTM AI slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000, which is $0.25 a credit. Past that it is Enterprise, by quote (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). Do not multiply $0.25 by 10 and call it a quote. The $380,000 figure (1,000,000 x $0.38) uses the wrong tier.

Volume also costs time. At 25 contacts per call, 1M records is 1,000,000 / 25 = 40,000 calls. Builder allows 10,800 requests an hour, so that is about four hours of calls, before retries (ZoomInfo rate limits, September 2026).

Platform plans are a separate question. zoominfo.com/pricing returned a human check, so we cannot read them. Vendr reports a median of $33,500 a year across purchases, which is $33,500 / 12 = about $2,792 a month. That is a contract median, not a per-record price (Vendr, updated February 2026).

Clearbit also has no public 1M price. HubSpot publishes no per-record rate to multiply and no volume ceiling to size against (HubSpot docs, September 2026). Ask HubSpot sales for the ceiling before you plan a big run.

What you can price is the plan. HubSpot's pricing page served Canadian dollars to our check. Marketing Hub Professional showed CA$1,034 to CA$1,150 a month with 3 seats, by billing term, plus a required one-time onboarding fee of CA$3,700 (HubSpot pricing, October 2026). We did not read a US price.

A 1M-record job from an index page is 1,000,000 / 100 = 10,000 batches, so it runs as a workflow.

Other HubSpot features do bill in credits. The data agent uses 10 credits per prompt per record (HubSpot catalog, September 2026). Plain enrichment does not use them.

Where ZoomInfo wins

  • A database you can search. It finds people you did not already hold, with 300+ attributes to filter on (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026). Clearbit enrichment has no search.
  • Direct dials. ZoomInfo claims 120M+ and sells them as a core feature. Clearbit publishes no phone coverage.
  • Published limits and docs. Rate limits are in writing, per second, hour and day, and the API docs are open.
  • A readable price ladder. Credits run from $0.45 down to $0.25 on the page, up to 100,000 credits.
  • No CRM needed. A free GTM AI account gets you the API and MCP server.

ZoomInfo's weak points are the missing 1M price, platform plans behind a human check and a credit meter that adds up at volume.

Where Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) wins

  • Enrichment inside HubSpot. Records fill where the team already works, with no code. Automatic enrichment is off by default, then on for new records (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
  • Price at small volume. If HubSpot is already paid for, enrichment adds nothing per record.
  • Standardised company data. NAICS, GICS and SIC codes and corporate hierarchy are on its homepage (Clearbit, September 2026).
  • Visitor identification. HubSpot's Buyer Intent names companies behind anonymous web traffic by reverse-IP lookup, billed in credits (HubSpot Buyer Intent, September 2026).

Clearbit's weak points are the HubSpot requirement, the sign-in wall on its docs and no published count or rate limit. Free products have closed too. The free platform ended April 30, 2025, and the Logo API followed after December 8, 2025 (Clearbit release notes, September 2026).

If you need volume through an API

We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. The Free plan gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, and no credits or per-record price (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

The same REST API and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools run on every plan, including Free (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026). The dataset holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies.

For bulk pulls, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, and the app has an Exports page with a CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). 1M rows is 20 requests over two days. LeadOcean has no CRM, no sequencer and no intent data. See pricing for the detail.

FAQ

Is ZoomInfo or Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) cheaper?

For plain enrichment inside HubSpot, Clearbit is cheaper. Enrichment uses no HubSpot Credits, so it rides on a seat you already pay for. ZoomInfo's list price at 10,000 records is $3,800. If you do not run HubSpot, the CRM plan is the real cost.

Does Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) have an API or an MCP server?

Clearbit documents an API, but the docs sit behind a sign-in and access for new customers is not published (Clearbit docs, September 2026). We found no MCP server for enrichment. HubSpot has one for CRM records. Ask HubSpot before you build on it.

Does ZoomInfo have an API and an MCP server?

Yes. GTM AI has an API, an MCP server and a CLI, and the free tier includes API access at 5 requests a second (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). The MCP server needs a free GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription with data credits.

Which one finds new contacts?

ZoomInfo does. Search is free and returns IDs you then enrich, up to 25 at a time. Clearbit enrichment starts from a business email or a company domain you already have and does not search for new people.

What does 1M records a month cost on each?

Neither publishes a price. ZoomInfo's slider ends at 100,000 credits for $25,000, and the rest is Enterprise by quote. Clearbit has no per-record price and no published volume ceiling, so ask HubSpot sales for both.

Can I use both?

Yes. Keep Clearbit for records already in HubSpot. Use ZoomInfo, or a flat-price API such as LeadOcean, to find new people and fill in the rest.
