Find Work Email is a Claude skill that returns the work email LeadOcean holds for one named person. It costs 1 record when you already have a LinkedIn URL.

What it does

You tell Claude who you want to email. Give a LinkedIn URL, or a full name plus a company domain. The skill returns each work address on file with its status, best first.

The status is the point. verified is safe to send to. catch_all_valid and catch_all can still bounce, and the skill flags them. It never guesses an address from a name pattern. If LeadOcean holds no work email, it says so and stops.

It runs on the LeadOcean MCP server, so there is no API key to paste. You sign in once with OAuth.

How it works

The skill is a SKILL.md file. It tells Claude which tools to call and in what order.

  1. With a LinkedIn URL, Claude skips to step 4.
  2. count_leads checks that a person with that name and an email exists at the domain. Free.
  3. search_leads with hasEmail: true and limit: 5 lists the matches. 1 record per person returned. Claude keeps the person_id of the right row.
  4. get_lead with reveal_email: true takes the LinkedIn URL or person_id and returns the address, its email_status and its email_type. 1 record.
  5. Claude prints the table. If no work email is on file, it prints "No work email on file." A lookup that finds nobody costs nothing.

If LeadOcean rejects a filter value, Claude calls list_enum_values (free) for the exact string.

How to use it

  1. Download the zip: Download find-work-email.zip
  2. Unzip it and add the find-work-email folder as a skill in Claude.
  3. Connect LeadOcean at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp and sign in.
  4. Ask: "Find the work email for jane-doe on LinkedIn", or "Find the work email for Jane Doe at acme.com".

You need a LeadOcean account. The free plan gives you 1,000 records, one-off, no card.

Sample output

The free sizing step works on any domain. We ran count_leads on stripe.com twice: once with the default filter, and once with emailStatus set to verified.

FilterValue
domainstripe.com
Mailable people (verified, catch_all_valid, catch_all)10,301
People with a verified email336
Records spent0
Date1 October 2026

That is how many people at the domain you could look up. The addresses themselves need get_lead, which spends a record. This is the shape of the skill's reply, with placeholder values.

Output format (placeholder values)

code
Work email: Jane Doe

Title: VP of Sales at Acme
Key used: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe

| Work email | Status | Type |
| jane@acme.com | verified | work |

Records spent: 1

If LeadOcean holds no work email, the table is replaced by No work email on file. and the Records spent line stays.

FAQ

What does Find Work Email need from me?

One identifier for one person: a LinkedIn URL, or a full name plus a company domain. A LinkedIn URL is the cheapest, at 1 record.

Does it check that the email will not bounce?

It shows the email_status LeadOcean holds, so you can send to verified and treat catch_all as a risk. LeadOcean gives no refund for bounces. Read the status before you send.

Can it run on a list of people?

Run it once per person. For a list, use the Exports page in the app at app.leadocean.io: filter builder, column picker, price preview and CSV download.
