The cheapest paid plan is Starter at $49 a month, or $490 billed yearly, for 500 email credits. The page marks Basic as Popular: $99 a month for 1,000 email credits and 100 phone credits (Adapt pricing, September 2026).
What 1M records cost: No public 1M price. Self-serve stops at Basic's 1,000 email credits a month. The API and any larger volume sit on a custom plan with a sales quote.
Adapt prices by credit, not by seat. The pricing page says so in its FAQ. The catch is that the credit ceiling is low and the API is not on the plans you can buy online.
Plans
Adapt sells a Free plan, Starter, Basic and a Custom plan. Paid plans can be billed monthly or yearly, and a yearly plan grants twelve months of credits up front. A 7-day free trial lets you buy up to 50 contacts (Adapt pricing, September 2026).
| Plan | Price | Credits | Seats | API access | Limits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 a month | 25 email, 25 enrichment | Not priced per seat | No | 25 contacts a day. No CSV export. Chrome extension included. |

The yearly toggle says "Save 20%". The listed yearly prices save less. Starter is $490 against $588 at twelve months of $49, which is 16.7%. Basic is $990 against $1,188, also 16.7%. We use the figures on the plan cards.
What a credit buys
Adapt does not sell one credit. It runs three pools: email, enrichment and phone. Run out of one and the others stay unused.
| Action | Credit type |
|---|---|
Search contacts or companies (POST /v3/contact/search, /v3/company/search) | Search credits, reported in the search-remaining-credits header. Results come back without email addresses. |
Buy contacts (POST /v3/contact/fetch, up to 50 IDs per request) | Email credits, plus phone credits when a number is included |
Enrich a contact (POST /v3/contact/enrich) | Enrichment credits. include adds email, phone or both. |
| Phone reveal in the app | Phone credits, on Basic and Custom only |

The docs name the credit types but print no per-call number. We cannot tell you whether a search of 50 results costs 1 credit or 50. Each response reports the pool it drew from in an x-call-credit-type header, so test on a trial before you budget.
Hidden costs
The plan price is clear. The limits around it are where the bill moves.
- The API is Custom only. Free, Starter and Basic do not list API access. Any pipeline needs a sales quote first (Adapt pricing, September 2026).
- A daily contact cap sits on top of credits. It is 25, 50 and 100 contacts a day on Free, Starter and Basic. Only Custom has no limit.
- Phones are capped at 100 a month. Basic is the first plan with phone credits, and the yearly plan holds 1,200 for the year.
- Three pools, not one. Email, enrichment and phone credits are counted separately, so spare enrichment credits do not buy emails.
- Search and buy are separate calls. Contact search returns people without emails. You then buy each contact by ID, 50 at most per request (Adapt API docs, September 2026).
- The API rate limit is 250 requests a minute per account. Higher limits are a request to Adapt's success team.
- No stated roll-over rule. The pricing page and docs do not say whether unused credits carry over. Ask sales before you buy a yearly plan.
- Cancelling is by email. The FAQ says to write to Adapt, and you keep access to the end of the period.
- The plans renew on their own. Renewals are charged automatically on the monthly or yearly cycle you picked.
Worked examples
All three examples use list prices, monthly billing first and billed-yearly after it. Adapt lists no top-up price, so a plan is a fixed allowance.
10k records a month
- 10,000 email credits: Basic holds 1,000 a month, so 10,000 is ten times the self-serve plan. That is a Custom quote.
- The daily cap also binds. At 100 contacts a day, Basic reaches about 3,100 contacts in a 31-day month.
- Reference rate only: Basic is $99 for 1,000 email credits, or $0.099 each, and $0.0825 each billed yearly. Adapt does not sell ten Basic allowances as one plan.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 a month flat. For 1,000 emails a month, Adapt Basic at $99 is cheaper.
1M records a month
- No public 1M price. 1,000,000 email credits is 1,000 times Basic's monthly allowance, and the API is Custom only.
- Adapt publishes no Custom rate, so we do not multiply the Basic rate out.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 a month flat. Every person returned counts one record, with no credits and no overage invoice.
25M records a month
- No public 25M price. 25,000,000 credits is 25,000 times Basic. It is a negotiated contract.
- LeadOcean Pro: $499 a month flat. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down to one request a minute, not cut off. One email to support gets more headroom.
Up to 1,000 email credits a month, Adapt Basic at $99 is cheaper than $499. Above that, Adapt has no public price and LeadOcean is still $499.
Is it worth it
Adapt is worth it for a rep who prospects from the app a few hundred contacts a month. It stops being a self-serve buy when you need the API or more than 1,000 emails.
- Solo rep or founder: Starter at $49 a month ($490 billed yearly) covers 500 email credits and a Chrome extension. Test the 25 free credits first.
- SDR team: Basic at $99 gives 1,000 emails and 100 phones from one shared pool, with no per-seat charge. Phones and the 100-a-day cap run out first.
- RevOps or data engineer: The REST API sits behind a sales call. The docs show three endpoints, 250 requests a minute, and search that returns no emails until you buy.
- Agency: One credit pool shared across a team helps. The daily cap does not, because it limits how fast you can build lists for clients.
- 1M records or more: No public price. Get a quote, and compare it with a flat fee.
Adapt's data page states over 250 million contacts, over 16 million decision makers and over 12 million company profiles (Adapt data, September 2026). For a wider comparison, see Adapt alternatives.
Alternatives with a different price model
These three charge by one-time pack, by data type or by flat fee.
Anymail Finder: one-time packs. The 1,000,000-credit pack is $4,990 in USD, valid 12 months, at $0.0050 a credit. A search with no verified email is free (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). See Anymail Finder pricing.
FullEnrich: credits by data type. A work email is 1 credit, a mobile is 10 and a miss is free. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500, and above it the page says contact sales (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026; FullEnrich docs, September 2026). See FullEnrich pricing.
LeadOcean: flat fee. Free is 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 100 requests per second per key and 5 API keys. It covers 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP, and the app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download. It has no sequencer, dialer or CRM. See pricing.
