6 Best Claude Skills for RevOps Automation in 2026 (Compared)

Six skill packs, plugins and connectors that let Claude audit a CRM, review pipeline and fill missing data, compared on scope, access and cost at volume.

A Claude skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file that Claude loads when your request matches it. For RevOps, the best ones audit the CRM, review pipeline and fill missing fields without a human pasting data into a chat (Anthropic docs, September 2026).

Most "skill" lists mix three things: skill packs, plugins that bundle skills with connectors, and MCP servers that give Claude data. We rank all three, and say which is which. A skill is only as good as the data and the CRM it can reach.

Two limits show up again and again. Skill packs carry instructions but no data, so they need a source of contacts and accounts. And connectors that write to a CRM need a human to approve each change. Read the cons before you install.

LeadOcean is one of the six. For the data tools, see our pages on LeadMagic and Apollo. Plans are on pricing.

What we evaluated

  • RevOps scope. Pipeline review, forecast, CRM hygiene, lead routing, enrichment and reporting. We note which of these each tool covers.
  • Where the data comes from. A skill that cannot reach contacts or CRM fields can only give advice. We check the connector or API behind it.
  • Write safety. Whether changes to the CRM need your approval, and what the docs say about it.
  • API and MCP access. Hosted server, sign-in method, and rate limit where one is published.
  • Price at volume. List price first, billed-yearly figure after it, and what 1M records cost where a public price exists. If there is none, we say so.

We did not benchmark output quality across tools. A skill's answer depends on your CRM and your model. Run any tool you shortlist on one real pipeline and compare it with your own numbers.

1. Anthropic Sales plugin: best for pipeline review and CRM hygiene

The Sales plugin is Anthropic's own bundle for sales and RevOps work. Version 2.0 has 36 skills, including pipeline-review, crm-hygiene-check, forecast, lead-triage, route-lead and account-tiering (Anthropic sales plugin README, October 2026).

The skills read your CRM's own stages and fields instead of assuming one vendor's setup. If nothing is connected, they work from an uploaded pipeline export or a list of accounts. Connectors in the repo include HubSpot, Salesforce, Close, Clay, ZoomInfo, Apollo and Outreach.

Skills can update CRM records and draft or send email. Changes a skill suggests on its own are shown to you first, with the evidence. The plugin treats emails and transcripts as information, not instructions (same README).

Pros

  • Widest RevOps coverage here: review, forecast, hygiene, routing and tiering.
  • Read-only crm-hygiene-check audits missing fields, stale dates and stage mismatches.
  • Works from uploaded files, so you can test it without a CRM connection.
  • Open source under Apache-2.0, so you can edit any skill.

Cons

  • It holds no contact data. Enrichment needs a connected provider.
  • Generic by design. You must add your stages, terms and rules to get consistent output.
  • Writes go through each connector's permissions, so a read-only CRM seat limits it.

Best for: RevOps leads who want pipeline and forecast work inside Claude, on a CRM they already run.

Pricing: Free and open source (Apache-2.0). Install with claude plugin install sales@knowledge-work-plugins (GitHub, October 2026). You pay for Claude and for the connected tools.

2. LeadMagic GTM skills: best for a free library of RevOps playbooks

LeadMagic publishes 211 skills in 25 categories under an MIT licence. They install into Claude Code, Cursor, Codex and other Agent Skills runtimes (LeadMagic gtm-skills, October 2026).

The RevOps material sits in a few folders. sales-revops holds pipeline-management, revenue-forecasting and deal-desk. gtm-ops holds revops-tech-stack and gtm-tool-cost-model. automation holds crm-integration, salesforce-setup and hubspot-setup.

These are playbooks, not live integrations. Each skill ships a SKILL.md, reference notes, an output template and a checker script. The repo warns that skills can contain executable scripts, so review before you install.

Pros

  • Free and MIT-licensed, with a Claude Code plugin install.
  • Covers the planning side of RevOps: tool stack, cost models, forecasting and CRM setup.
  • Each skill has an output template, so results look the same run to run.
  • No telemetry, per the repo.

Cons

  • Playbooks guide a model. They do not connect to your CRM by themselves.
  • 211 skills is a lot to audit. Install only the bundles you need.
  • The data side is LeadMagic's paid API, with no free plan.
  • Self-serve plans stop at 100,000 credits a month, so there is no public 1M price.

Best for: RevOps and GTM engineers who want proven structures for forecasting, tool stacks and CRM setup.

Pricing: Skills are free (MIT). LeadMagic data starts at Essential $99 a month, or $83 billed yearly (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

3. LeadOcean: best for filling CRM gaps through MCP

LeadOcean skills are plain steps that call the hosted MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp. Sign-in is OAuth, so no key is pasted into Claude. The server has 13 tools over 693M people and 67M companies (LeadOcean docs, October 2026).

The RevOps fit is data hygiene. Enrich Person, Enrich Company and CSV Enricher fill the gaps a CRM audit finds. Account Researcher builds an account brief. More skills are in progress on the skill hub.

Sizing is free. We ran leadocean_count_leads on 21 October 2026 with title "Revenue Operations" and country US, facets off. It returned 7,066 mailable people (verified, catch_all_valid or catch_all) across 3,967 companies. Without an email filter, 13,194 people match. It spent 0 records.

Pros

  • Counts are free, so you size a list before any record is spent.
  • A phone lookup, a person enrich and a company enrich are separate skills, so each run has a known cost.
  • Flat price: Agency is $497 a month, 200 requests a second, on a fair-use pace and not credits.
  • Hosted MCP server, so Claude, ChatGPT and other clients use the same tools.

Cons

  • No pipeline review, forecast or lead routing. It supplies data, not RevOps workflows.
  • No rep workspace, sequencer, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension. The app has an Exports page for CSV.
  • The skill library is new and still small.
  • Bulk CSV export is not on Free.

Best for: RevOps teams and agents that enrich CRM records through MCP or API, at volume.

Pricing: Free $0 (1,000 records for life, no card, 5 requests a second). Solo $97 a month. Agency $497 a month. Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

4. Apollo: best for prospect data and sequencing from Claude

apollo homepage

Apollo runs an official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp, with OAuth 2.0 or an API key for headless clients. It is also a built-in Claude connector and has a first-party plug-in (Apollo MCP docs, October 2026).

Apollo covers more of the go-to-market loop than a data API. Search, enrichment and engagement sit behind one MCP connection. Enrichment through MCP spends the same credits as the app. Apollo says AI model training on its data is prohibited.

For RevOps, that makes Apollo useful when the job is "find the right people and put them in a sequence". It is less natural for CRM audits or forecasting, which Apollo does not claim to do.

Pros

  • Official MCP server on any plan, Free included, at no extra cost.
  • Search, enrichment and sequencing in one connection.
  • Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).
  • Built-in connector in Claude, so no server setup.

Cons

  • Seat-based credits. A work email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, so 1M lookups needs hundreds of seats.
  • Credits expire each cycle and do not roll over.
  • The price of extra credits is not public.
  • No pipeline review or forecast skills of its own.

Best for: sales and RevOps teams who want Claude to find, enrich and sequence prospects in one tool.

Pricing: Free $0 with 75 credits a month. Basic $65 a seat a month, or $49 billed yearly. Professional $99, or $79 billed yearly. Organization $149, or $119 billed yearly, minimum 3 seats (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

5. HubSpot MCP server: best for reading and updating HubSpot records

HubSpot's remote MCP server lets an AI client read and write CRM data through natural language. You create an MCP connector in your HubSpot account and connect the client with OAuth and PKCE (HubSpot developer docs, October 2026).

Read access covers contacts, companies, deals, tickets, leads, segments and activities. One tool queries CRM data with SQL-style filters, aggregation and sorting. It does not support joins or subqueries.

Writes need confirmation. The create-or-update tool shows a proposed-changes summary and waits for your approval. All actions follow your HubSpot user permissions, which is the safest default for RevOps.

Pros

  • Direct access to live CRM records, not an export.
  • Every write is shown to you and confirmed before it runs.
  • Respects HubSpot user permissions.
  • Pairs with any skill pack above that expects a HubSpot connector.

Cons

  • HubSpot only. Salesforce teams need a different server.
  • Tool availability varies by subscription, and some objects are in beta.
  • With Sensitive Data on, activity and conversation data is blocked through MCP.
  • The docs page publishes no MCP-specific rate limit.

Best for: teams whose pipeline lives in HubSpot and who want Claude to query and fix it.

Pricing: No separate MCP price on the page we read. It depends on your HubSpot subscription (HubSpot developer docs, October 2026).

6. Anthropic document skills: best for RevOps reports in Excel and PowerPoint

Anthropic's skills repository includes the document skills that power Claude's file creation: xlsx, docx, pptx and pdf. They are source-available, not open source (Anthropic skills repo, October 2026).

For RevOps they cover the last step. The xlsx skill builds spreadsheets with live formulas and recalculates them, so a board pipeline sheet or a forecast model stays editable. The pptx skill builds the deck on top.

These skills do not pull from a CRM. You bring a pipeline export or a connector, and the skill shapes the output. The repo says the examples are for demonstration, so test them on your own files.

Pros

  • Spreadsheets use formulas, not pasted totals, and are recalculated before delivery.
  • Covers Excel, Word, PowerPoint and PDF.
  • Already available to paid Claude.ai plans, per the repo.
  • Combines cleanly with the Sales plugin's forecast and pipeline skills.

Cons

  • No data and no CRM connection.
  • Source-available licence, so you cannot freely fork and redistribute.
  • Not RevOps-specific. You supply the metrics and layout.

Best for: RevOps analysts who turn a pipeline export into a board-ready workbook or deck.

Pricing: Free to use on paid Claude plans (Anthropic skills repo, October 2026).

How to choose

  • You want pipeline review and forecast inside Claude: the Anthropic Sales plugin. Start with crm-hygiene-check, which is read-only.
  • You want structure for forecasting, tool stacks and CRM setup: LeadMagic GTM skills. Install only the folders you need.
  • You need to fill missing CRM fields at volume: LeadOcean. Size the list for free, then enrich.
  • You want prospect search and sequencing in one tool: Apollo.
  • Your pipeline is in HubSpot: the HubSpot MCP server, with write approvals on.
  • You report to a board or finance: Anthropic document skills, fed from a pipeline export.

Verdict

For most RevOps teams, start with the Anthropic Sales plugin and your CRM's own MCP server. That covers review, hygiene and forecast without buying data. Add a data source when audits show gaps: LeadOcean for volume through MCP or API at a flat price, Apollo when you also want sequencing. LeadMagic's library is the best free source of playbooks. Use the document skills for the last mile into Excel and slides. No single tool does all of it, and a stack of two or three works better.

FAQ

What is a Claude skill for RevOps?

It is a folder with a SKILL.md that tells Claude how to do a RevOps task, such as a pipeline review or a CRM audit. Claude loads it when your request matches. Some skills also bundle scripts and templates.

Are Claude skills the same as MCP servers?

No. A skill carries instructions. An MCP server gives Claude tools and data. Most useful RevOps setups combine both, as the Sales plugin does with its connectors.

Can Claude skills update my CRM?

Yes, through a connector with write access. The Sales plugin and HubSpot's MCP server both show proposed changes and wait for your approval. Test in a sandbox first.

How much does it cost to run RevOps skills at 1M records?

The skills are free. The data is what costs. Apollo's list price is $24,750 a month for 1M work emails. LeadOcean Agency is $497 a month on a fair-use pace. LeadMagic and HubSpot have no public 1M price.

Do I need Claude Code to use these?

Not for all. The Sales plugin installs in Cowork or Claude Code. LeadMagic's skills target Claude Code and other runtimes. Apollo and HubSpot work as connectors in Claude.

How do I start with LeadOcean?

Create a free key, connect the MCP server and ask Claude to count your audience. Counts cost no records, and the free plan includes 1,000 records for life.
