Best email finder tools for Australia

7 Best Email Finder Tools for Australia in 2026 (Compared)

Seven email finders judged on one question, how well they cover people who work in Australia, with the free test to run on each and the list price of 1M lookups.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

An email finder returns a person's business email address from a name and company, a LinkedIn URL or an ID. Sales teams, recruiters and agent builders who sell into Australia need one that actually holds Australian people. Most vendors publish a global total and nothing for Australia.

This page ranks seven finders on that one criterion: how well they cover people who work in Australia, and how you can check it before you pay. LeadOcean's figures come from free counts we ran on 21 October 2026. Every other number is the vendor's claim, with its source. Several have their own page: Lusha, Apollo, Hunter, Prospeo and FullEnrich. New to the category? Read what an email finder is first.

LushaA free plan to test Australian contactsStarter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly)No public 1M price. Top public tier is 10,000 credits for $977.40 a month
ApolloReps who want state filters and a workspaceBasic $65 a seat a month ($49 billed yearly)$24,750 a month on monthly billing, or $19,600 billed yearly, as seats at list price

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier or cheapest public path, not a price.

What we evaluated

  • Published Australia figure: a count for Australia, a wider region, or nothing. Vendors count by different rules, so totals do not compare cleanly.
  • A free test you can run: whether you can check Australian coverage on a free plan or trial before you pay.
  • API and MCP: which plans open the API and an agent server, and the default rate limit.
  • Price model at volume: flat, credits or seats, and the list price of 1M work-email lookups.
  • Limits that bite: plan ceilings, seat rules and what a miss costs.

We ran no find-rate or accuracy test. We counted Australian records only in LeadOcean. Treat every other figure as a vendor claim until you run the test below.

The Australia coverage test

Pick 20 Australian companies you sell to, ideally .com.au domains, and one or two named decision makers at each. Run the same 20 through each tool on its free plan or trial. Count three things: people found, work emails returned, and emails with a verified status. Do it on one day, because every vendor refreshes on its own schedule.

Twenty lookups cost at most 20 credits on a one-credit tool. Every free plan below covers that, except where noted.

1. LeadOcean: best for Australian lists pulled by API, agent or volume

LeadOcean holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. A free count on 21 October 2026 found 10,976,787 people in Australia, with no email filter. You can size an Australian list before you spend a record, because counts are free.

Most of those records have no email we would send to. The default count, which keeps verified, catch-all valid and catch-all addresses, is 1,872,274, about 17% of the total. Size a campaign on the mailable figure, not the headline.

These counts all use country set to AU, run through count_leads on 21 October 2026:

What we filteredPeople
No email filter (all people)10,976,787
Verified, catch-all valid or catch-all email1,872,274
Verified work email467,017
With a phone number, any email status1,038,997

You can repeat the test. A search with count=true and limit 1 costs nothing, and the REST total stops at 100,000, so use the MCP count_leads tool for an exact figure.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"country":["AU"],"limit":1}'

To find one email, search by company domain, then enrich by person_id with POST /v1/people/enrich and reveal_email set to true. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools (LeadOcean MCP docs, October 2026).

Pros

  • Free counts on every plan, so Australian coverage is checkable before you spend.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free, with 13 MCP tools.
  • Agency is $497 a month with 1M enrichments a day, not a per-lookup meter.
  • Phones through GET /v2/people/phone, and a free 404 when an enrichment finds nobody.

Cons

  • About 17% of Australian records carry a mailable email, so read email_status before you send.
  • No lookup by name plus domain. Search by company domain first, then enrich by person_id.
  • No Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download.

Best for: engineers, RevOps teams and agents that pull Australian lists at volume.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. Lusha: best for a free plan to test Australian contacts

lusha homepage

Lusha publishes no Australia count today. Its data page gives worldwide totals, 515M+ verified contacts and 29M+ companies, and shades a world map by coverage band without numbers (Lusha data, October 2026).

An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5. Every plan, including Free, has an API key (Lusha API guide, September 2026). The MCP server has 50 tools (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).

Australia test: Free is 40 credits a month with no card (Lusha pricing, September 2026). That covers 40 emails or 8 phone numbers, enough for your 20 contacts.

Pros

  • A free plan with an API key.
  • A 50-tool MCP server that shares the API credit pool.
  • Phone numbers in the same lookup.

Cons

  • Free and Starter allow 40 API requests a minute and 100 a day.
  • Credits meter every reveal, and no 1M price is public.
  • No published Australia count.

Best for: reps and analysts who want a free plan to check Australian contacts.

Pricing: Starter is $49.90 a month, or $37.45 billed yearly. Premium is $399.90 a month, or $299.95 billed yearly (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

3. Apollo: best for reps who want state filters and a workspace

apollo homepage

Apollo publishes no Australia count. Its Australia page says you can filter by state, industry and company size, and it claims verified Australian contacts (Apollo Australia, September 2026). The pricing page states 240 million contacts and 30 million companies in total (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

Apollo bills per seat with a pooled credit allowance. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, and credits expire each cycle (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).

Australia test: the Free plan has 75 credits a month on monthly billing (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Filter by Australia and state, run your 20 contacts, and compare with the other tools the same day.

Pros

  • Filters by Australian state, industry and company size.
  • API on every plan and an MCP server on any plan, including Free (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
  • Sequences, a dialer and a Chrome extension in the same workspace.

Cons

  • No published Australia or region count.
  • Phones cost 8 credits, and unused credits expire each billing cycle.
  • At 1M work emails the seat arithmetic reaches $19,600 to $24,750 a month at list price.

Best for: reps who want data, sequences and a dialer in one tool, with state-level filters.

Pricing: Basic is $65 a seat a month, or $49 billed yearly. Professional is $99, or $79 billed yearly (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

4. Firmable: best for Australian reps who want local company registers

Firmable is an APAC-focused sales platform. Its ZoomInfo comparison page claims 25m+ contacts and 3m+ companies across seven APAC markets, including Australia and New Zealand (Firmable, October 2026). That is Firmable's own claim, with no Australia-only count.

Plans bill per user, with included profiles each year. One profile, person or company, costs one credit and returns the email and mobile together. Local company registers start on the Small Teams plan (Firmable pricing, October 2026).

Australia test: any plan can be trialled free for 14 days, starting with 25 included profiles (Firmable pricing, October 2026). Filter to Australia, run your 20 contacts and count the mobiles as well as the emails.

Pros

  • Built around APAC, with local company registers on Small Teams and above.
  • One credit per profile covers the email and mobile together.
  • MCP access from the Small Teams plan.

Cons

  • API access is an Enterprise feature, so small teams cannot call it from code.
  • Pricing is per user, with 1,200 included profiles a year on Individual.
  • No Australia-only count, no published rate limit and no public 1M price.

Best for: Australian sales teams that want local registers and a rep workspace.

Pricing: Individual is US$55 a user a month billed yearly, Small Teams US$75, Teams Pro US$110 and Enterprise US$170 (Firmable pricing, October 2026).

5. Hunter: best for domain lookups with an app and extension

Hunter is built around a domain, which suits Australian company websites. One credit is one email found, Email Finder verifies the address it returns, and nothing is charged if nothing is found (Hunter help, September 2026). Hunter publishes no Australia count that we found.

The free plan gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, and Scale is $299 for 25,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). At volume the route is Data Platform, which sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).

Email Finder allows 15 requests a second (Hunter API docs, September 2026). The remote MCP server takes your API key and is included on every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

Australia test: use 20 .com.au domains and see how many return a named person with a verified email on the free 50 credits.

Pros

  • 15 requests a second on the core endpoints.
  • MCP server included on every plan at no extra cost.
  • Browser extension and Sheets add-on for reps who skip the API.
  • Charges nothing when no email is found.

Cons

  • No published Australia figure, and domain-first lookup.
  • The top all-in-one plan stops at 25,000 credits a month.
  • The 1M price is a one-off purchase, not a monthly bill.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and want an app and extension beside the API.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

6. Prospeo: best for reps who want an extension and pay per user

Prospeo sells an email and mobile finder per user, on credits. One verified email costs 1 credit and one mobile costs 10. A lookup that returns nothing costs nothing, and re-enriching a record within 90 days is free (Prospeo help, September 2026). It publishes no Australia count that we found.

Free has 100 credits a month. Starter is $49 a user a month for 2,000 credits, Growth is $99 for 5,000 and Pro is $249 for 15,000 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). The Enrich API allows 5 requests a second on Starter and 30 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server has 8 tools and signs in with OAuth or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).

Australia test: the 100 free credits cover 20 emails and several mobiles. Whether the Free plan includes API access is unsettled in Prospeo's own pages, so run the test in the app.

Pros

  • Chrome extension and CRM sync for reps who prospect in a browser.
  • A miss costs no credit.
  • MCP signs in with OAuth or a key.

Cons

  • Per-user pricing, so a team adds seats and credits together.
  • No single tier reaches 1M. The cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats plus a $3,500 add-on.
  • Daily caps of 2,000 enrichments on Starter and 5,000 on Growth.

Best for: reps and small teams that want an extension, CRM sync and pay-as-you-go emails.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

7. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles for known names

FullEnrich queries 25+ sources per contact and charges only for what it finds. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not found costs 0 (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). It states about an 80% work-email find rate, a vendor claim we did not test, and no Australia count (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month, and above that you contact sales. API, MCP and bulk CSV are on every plan, including the free trial of 50 credits. The API allows 60 calls a minute (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).

Australia test: a waterfall suits thin markets, because it tries several sources. The 50 trial credits cover 20 emails and two mobiles.

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call covers several vendors.
  • No charge for not found or landline results.
  • API, MCP and unlimited users on every plan.

Cons

  • The highest credit price here, at $0.035 on the top monthly tier.
  • No public 1M price, and 60 calls a minute is the lowest default limit on this page.
  • Mobiles cost 10 credits, so phone-heavy pulls get costly.

Best for: teams with a known list of Australian names that want waterfall emails and mobiles.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits. Enterprise is custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers in Australia. It is the only tool here that lets you count Australian people for free, 10.98M on 21 October 2026, though only about 17% carry a mailable email. Apollo wins for reps who want state filters and a workspace, and Firmable for local registers. Hunter suits domain lookups, Prospeo suits reps who pay per seat and FullEnrich suits waterfall mobiles. Lusha is the free plan to check against the rest. Run the same 20 contacts through two tools before you buy. For wider B2B data see best B2B data providers for Australia.
