7 Best Email Finder Tools in 2026 (Compared)

Seven email finders ranked by API, MCP, rate limits and the list price of 1M work-email lookups a month, for teams that run lookups in code or through an agent.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

An email finder returns a person's business email address from a name and company, a LinkedIn URL or a stored ID. Outbound teams, RevOps engineers and agent builders need one as soon as a list of names has to become a list of addresses. The tools differ on three things: how they bill, how fast the API runs, and whether an agent can call them.

This page ranks seven finders on those points, with list prices checked in September 2026. Several have their own comparison page: Hunter, Anymail Finder, LeadMagic, Prospeo, FullEnrich and Icypeas. New to the category? Read what an email finder is first.

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier or cheapest public path, not a price.

What we evaluated

  • API and rate limit: which plan opens the API, the default requests per second, and what raises it.
  • MCP: whether an agent can run lookups through the vendor's server, and how it signs in.
  • Price model: flat, credits or seats, and the list price of 1M work-email lookups a month.
  • Email quality controls: live verification, stored status, bounce policy and what a miss costs.
  • Limits that bite: plan ceilings, bulk caps, seat rules and find-rate clauses.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote none of our own. A number a vendor publishes is labeled a vendor claim.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers

LeadOcean is a people and company database behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. You search with 50 people filters, then pull the email from the same record. Counts are free.

The price does not move with each record. Agency is $497 a month, with 1M enrichments a day, 25M search records a month, 5 API keys and 200 requests a second. Solo is $97 a month for one person. There are no credits and no overage invoice. Past the fair-use pace the key slows until the window resets, and nothing stops.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'

Work emails are also at GET /v2/people/email/work. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, October 2026). Every person or company returned counts as one record.

Pros

  • Agency is $497 a month with no credit meter.
  • Search by 50 people filters, then take emails and phones from the same database.
  • Email status on every record, from verified to spam_trap.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free. A miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.

Cons

  • No lookup by name plus domain. Search by company domain first, then enrich by person_id.
  • No live check against the mail server at lookup time. You read the stored email_status and decide what to send.
  • The v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, including a call that finds nothing.
  • No Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need search, emails and a fixed bill at volume.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo $97, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. Icypeas: best for low credit price at volume

Icypeas charges 1 credit per email found, and a search that finds nothing costs nothing. Verification is 0.1 credit (Icypeas docs, September 2026). It is the cheapest credit-based finder here at 1M.

Basic is $19 a month for 1,000 credits. Hypergrowth starts at $499 for 100,000. Its credit selector lists a 1,000,000-credit tier at $3,992 a month, or $39,920 for 12M credits billed yearly (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). The selector is hidden in the text view of the page, so check it live before you budget.

Email search allows 10 calls a second, and bulk search takes up to 5,000 rows per call at 1 call a second. Icypeas says limits can change (Icypeas docs, September 2026). The hosted MCP server at https://mcp.icypeas.com/mcp lists 21 tools and signs in with your API key (Icypeas MCP guide, September 2026).

Pros

  • The lowest public 1M price on this page after LeadOcean, with no charge for misses.
  • API, MCP and catch-all verification on every plan.
  • Credits roll over, so a quiet month is not lost.
  • A separate verifier at 0.1 credit for lists you bring.

Cons

  • Phone Finder is listed as coming soon, so there are no mobiles.
  • 10 calls a second on email search is slower than LeadOcean's 200 a second on Agency.
  • No database search by filter for a market. You bring the names.

Best for: teams that know the name and domain and want cheap, verified emails at volume.

Pricing: Basic $19, Premium $39, Advanced $89 and Hypergrowth $499 a month. Yearly Basic is $190. 50 free credits on signup (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).

3. Hunter: best for domain lookups with an app and extension

Hunter is the best-known email finder, built around a domain. One credit is one email found. Email Finder verifies the address it returns, and nothing is charged if nothing is found (Hunter help, September 2026). It also ships a Chrome, Firefox and Edge extension and a Google Sheets add-on (Hunter, September 2026).

The free plan gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, Growth is $149 for 10,000 and Scale is $299 ($209 billed yearly) for 25,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). Scale is the top all-in-one plan. At volume the route is Data Platform, which sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).

Limits are per endpoint. Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute (Hunter API docs, September 2026). Bulk Email Finder takes up to 50,000 rows per file (Hunter help, September 2026). The remote MCP server at https://mcp.hunter.io/mcp takes your Hunter API key and is included in every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

Pros

  • 15 requests a second on the core endpoints, higher than most credit tools here.
  • MCP server included on every plan, at no extra cost.
  • Browser extension and Sheets add-on for reps who do not use the API.
  • Unlimited team members share one credit pool.

Cons

  • The top all-in-one plan stops at 25,000 credits a month, so volume means Data Platform or Enterprise.
  • Domain-first. To build a list by title or seniority, you page through domains.
  • The 1M price is a one-off purchase, not a monthly bill.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and want an app and extension beside the API.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

4. Anymail Finder: best for verified emails for names you already hold

Anymail Finder verifies an address live and charges 1 credit only when it finds a valid one. A decision-maker search costs 2 credits, and a company search costs 1 for up to 20 emails. A search that finds no verified email is free, and a repeat within 30 days is free (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).

Monthly plans run from $29 for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000 credits. Past that you buy one-time packs. The 1,000,000-credit pack is $4,990, valid 12 months. Prices are the USD view, because the page shows Canadian dollars to visitors in Canada.

The API docs state no rate limits and no daily call caps (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026). A verified email that bounces can be reported for a credit back after review. The MCP server has five actions. They find a person's email, find a decision maker, find emails at a company, verify an email and check your account (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).

Pros

  • Pay only for emails it verifies, with a bounce credit after review.
  • No rate limits stated in the API docs.
  • The 1M-credit pack is the second-cheapest 1M price here.
  • Sign-in MCP for Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT, with no key pasted.

Cons

  • No database search. You must bring the people or companies to look up.
  • The largest monthly plan is 100,000 credits for $799.
  • The MCP server does not cover bulk files or webhooks.

Best for: teams with a known list of names and domains that want live-verified emails.

Pricing: $29 to $799 a month, or one-time packs up to $4,990 for 1,000,000 credits (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).

5. LeadMagic: best for cheap credits on valid emails

LeadMagic is a credit-based enrichment API. A valid email costs 1 credit, a miss is free, and a mobile costs 5 (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). It states 400 million people and 25 million companies on its homepage (LeadMagic, September 2026).

Essential is $99 a month for 5,000 credits. Growth is $249 for 20,000, Professional is $499 for 50,000 and Ultimate is $849 for 100,000 a month, or $0.00849 a credit. Self-serve stops there. LeadMagic has no free plan, only a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment (LeadMagic help, September 2026).

Email Finder is capped at 600 requests a minute, about 10 a second (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). It runs a hosted MCP server. Sign-in is OAuth only, so static API keys do not work (LeadMagic MCP, September 2026).

Pros

  • The lowest per-credit list price among the credit tools with a public self-serve ladder, at $0.00849 on Ultimate.
  • No charge when an email is not found.
  • Hosted MCP server, plus REST and a CLI.
  • Mobile, personal email and people search in the same API.

Cons

  • No public price at 1M. Past 100,000 credits you need an Enterprise quote.
  • No free plan or trial credits.
  • OAuth-only MCP, so a headless job cannot use a static key.

Best for: teams that buy valid emails by the hundred thousand and want cheap credits.

Pricing: Essential $99, Growth $249, Professional $499, Ultimate $849 a month (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

6. Prospeo: best for reps who want an extension and pay per user

Prospeo sells an email and mobile finder per user, on credits. It has a REST API, a Chrome extension and CRM sync. One verified email costs 1 credit and one mobile costs 10. A lookup that returns nothing costs nothing, and re-enriching the same record within 90 days is free (Prospeo help, September 2026).

Free has 100 credits a month. Paid plans are priced per user: Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits, Growth is $99 for 5,000 and Pro is $249 for 15,000 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Billed yearly, Starter is $37 a month.

The Enrich API allows 5 requests a second on Starter and 30 on Pro. Daily caps run from 2,000 on Starter to 500,000 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server at https://mcp.prospeo.io exposes 8 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Chrome extension and CRM sync for reps who prospect in a browser.
  • A miss costs no credit, and repeat enrichment is free for 90 days.
  • MCP signs in with OAuth or a key.

Cons

  • Per-user pricing, so a team adds seats and credits together.
  • No single tier reaches 1M. The cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats plus a $3,500 add-on, $14,456 a month.
  • Daily caps of 2,000 on Starter and 5,000 on Growth.

Best for: reps and small teams that want an extension, CRM sync and pay-as-you-go emails.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

7. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles

FullEnrich queries 25+ sources per contact and charges for what it finds. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not found costs 0 (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). It states about an 80% work-email find rate, a vendor claim we did not test (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits. The page opens on $55 for 1,000 credits. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month ($0.035 a credit), and above that you contact sales. API, MCP and bulk CSV are on every plan, including the free trial of 50 credits.

The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export, and it asks before it spends credits (FullEnrich help, September 2026).

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call covers several vendors.
  • No charge for not found or landline results.
  • API, MCP and unlimited users on every plan.
  • Search by filter, 0.25 credits per person returned.

Cons

  • The highest credit price here, at $0.035 on the top monthly tier.
  • No public 1M price.
  • 60 API calls a minute is the lowest default limit on this page.
  • Mobiles cost 10 credits, so phone-heavy pulls get costly.

Best for: teams that want waterfall emails and mobiles at modest volume, through an API or an agent.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits. Enterprise is custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Hunter's and Anymail Finder's figures are one-off purchases valid 12 months, not monthly bills. LeadMagic and FullEnrich sell no plan at 1M a month. Prospeo's path is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500, or $11,223 once billed yearly.

FAQ

What is the best email finder tool?

It depends on how you call it. For API, agent and volume use, LeadOcean is the best fit: Agency is $497 a month with no credits. For a known list of names with live verification, Anymail Finder fits. For a browser extension, Hunter and Prospeo fit.

How much does it cost to find 1M emails?

On list price, LeadOcean is $497 a month on Agency, within its fair-use pace. Icypeas is $3,992 a month, Anymail Finder is $4,990 once and Hunter is $6,900 once. Prospeo's cheapest public path is $14,456 a month. LeadMagic and FullEnrich publish no 1M price (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).

Which email finder is most accurate?

We ran no accuracy test, so we do not rank on it. Vendors publish different claims. FullEnrich states about an 80% find rate. Anymail Finder offers a credit back for bounces after review. LeadOcean refunds nothing, so read email_status before you send.

Do email finders have an MCP server?

All seven do. LeadOcean's has 13 tools and covers search, enrichment, phones and export. Hunter's takes an API key. LeadMagic's is OAuth only. Compare the tools each server exposes before you choose, because some only look up one address.

Is there a free email finder?

Yes. LeadOcean's free plan is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Hunter gives 50 credits a month, Prospeo 100 and Icypeas 50 on signup. LeadMagic has no free plan. You can also try the free email finder first.

What is the difference between an email finder and a verifier?

A finder returns an address. A verifier checks one you already hold. Most finders here do both and attach a status. The full explanation is in what is an email finder.
