7 Best Email Finder Tools for the UK in 2026

Seven email finders judged on one thing, UK coverage, with a test you can run on each before you pay and free LeadOcean counts for the United Kingdom.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

An email finder returns a person's business email from a name and company, a LinkedIn URL or an ID. For the UK you need one that holds British people, not only a large global total.

Almost no finder prints a UK count. Kaspr and Lead411 name the UK in first-party pages. Apollo, Lusha, Hunter and Cognism print a global figure and no UK split. So the only fair test is to run a UK filter or your own UK contacts through each free tier.

This page ranks seven finders on UK coverage alone, with list prices checked in September and October 2026. Each rival has its own page: Cognism, Kaspr, Lead411, Apollo, Lusha and Hunter. New to the category? Read what an email finder is first.

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell says so and never multiplies a rate out.

What we evaluated

UK coverage is the only criterion that decides the order. Everything else is a tiebreak.

  • UK test: can you size UK contacts for free, with a country filter, before you spend a credit?
  • UK coverage on record: does the vendor name the UK, or give a UK count, in a first-party source?
  • API and MCP: can code or an agent run the same UK search and pull the rows?
  • Price at volume: flat, credits, seats or quote, and the list cost of 1M records.
  • Rate limit: the default per second, minute or day for a bulk UK pull.

We ran no find-rate or accuracy test, so we quote no match rates. Only LeadOcean gets UK counts from us. No other vendor here publishes a UK-only record count in a source we could read. So every UK number you get from them comes from a test you run.

1. LeadOcean: best for UK pulls by API, agent or export

LeadOcean is a people and company database behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. The United Kingdom is a filter, so you size the market before you spend a record.

A free count on 2026-10-21 put 27,224,747 people in the United Kingdom, 4,307,707 of them with a mailable email. "Mailable" means a verified, catch_all_valid or catch_all address. About 16% of UK people are mailable, so filter by title and function rather than pulling the whole country.

Filter (free count)PeopleDate
country: GB, any email status27,224,7472026-10-21
country: GB, mailable email4,307,7072026-10-21
country: GB, jobLevel C-Team or VP, mailable email369,7502026-10-21
hqCountry: GB, mailable email (company HQ in the UK)4,238,5572026-10-21
country: IE, mailable email (Ireland, counted separately)362,1222026-10-21

country is where the person is. hqCountry is where the company is headquartered. They give different answers, so test both. The code for the United Kingdom is GB, not UK.

Counts spend no records. Over REST, the free sizing call is a search with count=true in the query string and limit 1 in the body.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"country": ["GB"], "limit": 1}'

meta.total stops at 100,000 on that route, so use leadocean_count_leads over MCP for the exact UK figure. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026). Work emails are also at GET /v2/people/email/work.

UK coverage test. Run count_leads with country: GB and your titles. It is free and exact. Then enrich 25 UK contacts on the Free plan, which gives 1,000 records for life, and read email_status on each.

Pros

  • An exact, free UK count by person location, company HQ, seniority, function and email status.
  • Search by title and country, then pull the email from the same record.
  • Paid plans have a fair-use pace, not credits. A very large month slows, it does not stop.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.

Cons

  • Only about 16% of UK people hold a mailable email, so a UK list is smaller than the headline.
  • No lookup by name plus domain. Search by company domain first, then enrich by person_id.
  • No Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need to size and pull UK contacts at volume.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency is $497 a month and Platform is $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. Kaspr: best for UK reps prospecting in LinkedIn

Kaspr is the one tool here that prices in pounds. Starter is GBP 51 and Business is GBP 85 a user a month, billed monthly (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). Its data page says the company has hubs in the UK and Spain. It promises "200 million + European B2B contacts" (Kaspr data page, September 2026). That is a European headline with no UK split.

Kaspr works inside LinkedIn through a Chrome extension. API access is on request on paid plans, not on Free. Each call spends a credit for the data type plus one export credit (Kaspr help center, September 2026). Starter allows 20 requests an hour and 250 a day. Business allows 250 an hour and 500 a day. We found no MCP server in its API docs.

UK coverage test. Use the Free plan with the extension. Open 20 UK LinkedIn profiles and count how many return a work email and a phone. Free has 15 B2B email credits and 5 phone credits a month, so the sample is small.

Pros

  • Pricing in pounds, so there is no currency conversion on the invoice.
  • Unlimited B2B email credits on paid plans, under a fair use policy.
  • Fast for one profile at a time inside LinkedIn.

Cons

  • No UK count that we can verify.
  • API is on request only, and capped at 500 requests a day on Business.
  • Priced per user, so cost grows with headcount.
  • No MCP server found.

Best for: UK reps, recruiters and founders who prospect profile by profile in LinkedIn.

Pricing: Free has 15 B2B email credits a month. Starter is GBP 51, EUR 59 or $65 per user a month, billed monthly. Business is GBP 85, EUR 99 or $99 (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). No public 1M price: Business tops out at 30,000 exports a year.

3. Cognism: best for phone-led calling into the UK

cognism homepage

Cognism is a sales contract, not a self-serve finder. Its pricing page lists Standard and Pro for sales prospecting, five seats each, and no dollar price (Cognism pricing, September 2026). One credit is one revealed contact, and the same credits work across the platform and the API. It prints no UK figure on the pages we read.

The search schema has a location person filter and a count route, POST /persons/filter/count (Cognism API reference, September 2026). The API allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation (Cognism rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server has 15 tools (Cognism MCP docs, September 2026). API and MCP need a package that includes them.

UK coverage test. Ask for a trial with API access, then call the count route with a United Kingdom location. Cognism's docs disagree on what a count costs. The Credits page says 1 search token, while the endpoint and MCP pages say counts are free (Cognism credits and search tokens, September 2026).

Pros

  • A count route lets you size the UK through the API.
  • MCP server with 15 tools that map onto the API.
  • Phone-verified data is the core product.

Cons

  • No public price, so you cannot budget without a sales call.
  • No UK coverage figure on the pages we read.
  • API and MCP need a package that includes them.

Best for: teams that cold-call UK buyers and buy phone data through a negotiated contract.

Pricing: no public price. Standard and Pro are quote only (Cognism pricing, September 2026). No public 1M price.

4. Lead411: best for the UK and Ireland from an app

Lead411 names the UK in a first-party country list. It covers 13 countries. They are the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Ireland, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand and Sweden (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). It prints no UK record count.

Spark is $49 a month for 1,000 exports a month, with verified emails, advanced search and a Chrome extension. API access starts on Ignite, from $150 a month (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). The V3 API publishes no rate limit number, and the MCP server is for approved customers only (Lead411 API docs, September 2026).

UK coverage test. Start the 7-day trial and filter advanced search to the United Kingdom. Read the match count. Then spend the 50 exports on a spread of titles and check email status.

Pros

  • The UK and Ireland are named in a first-party country list.
  • Verified emails and advanced search from $49 a month.
  • A trial with no card.

Cons

  • API access is not on Spark. It starts on Ignite.
  • No published rate limit or UK count.
  • Unlimited exports and the top plan are quote only.

Best for: sales teams that work the UK, Ireland and the US in an app.

Pricing: Spark is $49 a month, or $490 billed yearly, for 1,000 exports a month. Ignite starts at $150 a month ($1,500 billed yearly) (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). No public 1M price.

5. Apollo: best for free UK search for small teams

apollo homepage

Apollo lets you test the UK for free. People API Search costs 0 credits, takes person_locations[] and organization_locations[], and accepts cities, states and countries (Apollo API docs, September 2026). The first is where the person lives. The second is where the employer is headquartered.

Apollo claims 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts, with no UK split (Apollo, September 2026). Search hides emails and phones. Enrichment spends credits: 1 for an email and 8 more if a mobile comes back (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Paid plans allow 200 search calls a minute (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).

Apollo runs an official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp on every plan, including Free (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).

UK coverage test. Call the search with person_locations[]=united kingdom and per_page=1, then read the total. Repeat with organization_locations[]=united kingdom and compare. It costs 0 credits.

Pros

  • Free search with country and city filters, by API and in the app.
  • API access on every plan, per the developer FAQ.
  • Official MCP server on every plan.

Cons

  • Credits are per seat and expire at the end of each billing cycle.
  • A mobile costs 8 credits against 1 for an email.
  • No published UK coverage figure.

Best for: small teams that want to see UK contacts before they pay.

Pricing: Free has 75 credits a month. Basic is $65 a seat a month, or $49 billed yearly. Professional is $99 ($79 yearly) (Apollo pricing, September 2026). At 1M email lookups the cheapest monthly route is 250 Professional seats, $24,750 a month. The yearly route is 400 Basic seats, $19,600 a month.

6. Lusha: best for single UK lookups in a browser extension

lusha homepage

Lusha claims 525M+ contacts and 29M+ companies. It says 132M contacts are in the United States (Lusha, September 2026). It prints no UK figure. The US number shows Lusha can split by region, so the missing UK one is worth asking for.

Searching and filtering cost 0 credits in the platform. Credits are spent when you reveal a contact (Lusha credit docs, September 2026). A work email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5 (Lusha API guide, September 2026). The MCP server has 50 tools and shares the REST credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).

UK coverage test. On the free plan, filter the prospecting search to the United Kingdom and read the result total. It costs nothing. Then reveal a handful of contacts with the 40 free credits.

Pros

  • Free filtering in the platform.
  • API key on every plan, including Free.
  • MCP server with 50 tools.

Cons

  • No UK count on the page we read.
  • Per-key API quotas are small. Pro is 50 requests a minute.
  • A phone costs 5 credits, so phone-heavy UK pulls get expensive.

Best for: reps who look up UK contacts one at a time and want a free plan to test with.

Pricing: Free $0 for 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly). Pro $69.90 ($52.45). Premium $399.90 ($299.95) (Lusha pricing, September 2026). No public 1M price: the top public tier is 10,000 credits a month.

7. Hunter: best for UK names and domains you already hold

Hunter is an email index you query by domain, or by name plus domain. Its homepage cites 150,430,313 verified email addresses and gives no UK split (Hunter, September 2026). It has no country filter in its core calls, so it cannot size the UK for you. You bring the names.

One credit is one email found, and a lookup that finds nothing costs nothing (Hunter pricing, September 2026). Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute (Hunter API docs, September 2026). The MCP server is at mcp.hunter.io/mcp on every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

UK coverage test. The Free plan gives 50 credits a month. Run 25 UK names with their company domains through Email Finder and keep the found rate. Misses cost nothing.

Pros

  • The only public 1M price among the credit tools that is a single purchase: $6,900.
  • API and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • Misses are free, so a UK hit-rate test costs only the hits.

Cons

  • No UK count and no country search. You must bring every name.
  • Monthly credits do not carry over on monthly plans.
  • Scale tops out at 25,000 credits a month, so bigger pulls need Data Platform.

Best for: teams that hold UK names and domains and need the email for each.

Pricing: Free has 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly), Growth $149 ($104) and Scale $299 ($209). Data Platform sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter pricing, September 2026; Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).

How to choose

  • API, agent or volume work in the UK: LeadOcean. Free exact counts by person location and company HQ, a flat price and REST plus MCP.
  • Prospecting UK buyers inside LinkedIn: Kaspr, after you test 20 of your own profiles.
  • Cold-calling UK buyers on a contract: Cognism.
  • UK and Ireland in a point-and-click app: Lead411.
  • A free look at the UK before you pay: Apollo, then Lusha.
  • UK names you already hold, with a one-off public 1M price: Hunter.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for anyone who pulls UK records by API, agent or export. It is the only finder here with free exact UK counts (27,224,747 people, 4,307,707 of them mailable, on 2026-10-21) and a flat $497 price on Agency. It does not win on a UK-only headline, because no one prints one, and only about 16% of UK people hold a mailable email. Kaspr suits UK reps who work in LinkedIn. Cognism suits phone-led calling on a contract. Lead411 suits UK and Ireland teams in an app. Apollo is the best free look. Hunter sells 1M lookups in one $6,900 purchase if you can bring the names. Whatever you pick, run 25 of your own UK contacts through its free tier first.
