An email finder turns a name and a company into a business email address. An agency owner needs one to fill the pipeline of their own agency and to build lists for clients.
Owners leave a finder for three reasons: the credit meter grows with every client, the price is per seat, and the bill jumps at volume. Rankings that sort on feature lists miss all three. This page sorts seven finders on the bill, with list prices checked in September 2026. Several have their own page: Hunter, Anymail Finder, Icypeas, FullEnrich, Prospeo and Apollo. To find one owner's address step by step, read how to find an agency owner's email.

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier or cheapest public path, not a price.
What we evaluated
- Bill at volume: the monthly price for 1M lookups, and whether it is flat, per credit or per seat.
- Seats and client use: how many people share one account, and what the plan says about client work.
- API and rate limit: which plan opens the API and how many requests a second it allows.
- MCP: whether an agent can run lookups through the vendor's server, and how it signs in.
- Where the list comes from: whether the tool searches a database or only looks up names you bring.
We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test on any vendor, so we quote none. A number a vendor publishes is labeled a vendor claim.
1. LeadOcean: best for owners who pull lists by API or agent
LeadOcean is a people and company database behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. You search with 50 people filters, then take the email from the same record. Counts are free.
Agency is $497 a month and covers 1M enrichments a day, 25M search records a month, 5 API keys and 200 requests a second. It states use for your own and your clients' work. There are no credits: each paid plan has a fair-use pace, and reaching it slows the key until the window resets.
We ran a free count on 21 October 2026 with leadocean_count_leads: title Agency Owner or Owner, industry Marketing and Advertising, mailable status (verified, catch_all_valid or catch_all). It returned 1,158 owners in NORAM, 272 in EMEA, 74 in APAC and 33 in LATAM. The how-to guide shows the call. That is a count of what the database holds, not a test of find rate.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"person_id":"PERSON_ID_FROM_SEARCH","reveal_email":true}'Work emails are also at GET /v2/people/email/work. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools, from search_leads to export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026). Bulk CSV export is on Solo and up, at 50k rows a file on Agency. The Exports page in the app shows the record price first (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026).
Pros
- One flat $497 a month on Agency, with no credit meter and no per-seat price.
- Search by 50 people filters, then take emails and phones from the same database.
- 5 keys and 200 requests a second, so one key per client or per workflow.
- Email status on every record, from
verifiedtospam_trap.
Cons
- No Chrome extension, sequencer, dialer or CRM. An owner who prospects in a browser needs another tool.
- No lookup by name plus domain. Search by company domain first, then enrich by
person_id. - No refund for bounces. Read
email_statusbefore you send. - Resell and embed rights sit on Platform at $1,997 a month, not Agency.
Best for: owners and RevOps leads who run lookups in code or through an agent and want a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo is $97 a month for one person. Agency is $497 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. Anymail Finder: best for verified emails with free team seats
Anymail Finder verifies an address live and charges 1 credit only when it finds a valid one. A decision-maker search costs 2 credits. A search with no verified email is free, as is a repeat within 30 days (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
Monthly plans run from $29 for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000. Past that you buy one-time packs, and the 1,000,000-credit pack is $4,990, valid 12 months. Unlimited team members share one credit pool. Prices are the USD view, because the page shows Canadian dollars to visitors in Canada.
The API docs state no rate limits and no daily call caps (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026). The MCP server has five actions: find a person, find a decision maker, find company emails, verify an email and check your account (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Pay only for emails it verifies.
- Unlimited team members on one pool.
- The 1M pack is $4,990 once, $0.005 a credit.
Cons
- No database search. You bring the people or companies to look up.
- The largest monthly plan is 100,000 credits for $799.
- The MCP server does not cover bulk files or webhooks.
Best for: owners with a known list of names and domains per client who want live-verified emails.
Pricing: $29 to $799 a month, or one-time packs up to $4,990 for 1,000,000 credits (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
3. Icypeas: best for the lowest credit price at volume
Icypeas charges 1 credit per email found, and a search that finds nothing costs nothing. Verification is 0.1 credit (Icypeas docs, September 2026). It is the cheapest credit-based finder here at 1M.
Basic is $19 a month for 1,000 credits and Hypergrowth is $499 for 100,000. The credit selector lists a 1,000,000-credit tier at $3,992 a month, or $39,920 a year for 12M credits billed yearly (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). The selector is hidden in the text view of the page, so check it live before you budget. Credits roll over with no expiry.
Email search allows 10 calls a second, and bulk search takes up to 5,000 rows per call at 1 call a second (Icypeas docs, September 2026). The hosted MCP server lists 21 tools and signs in with your API key (Icypeas MCP guide, September 2026).
Pros
- The cheapest public 1M price among credit-based tools, with no charge for misses.
- API, MCP and catch-all verification on every plan.
- Credits never expire, so a quiet client month is not lost.
Cons
- Phone Finder is listed as coming soon, so there are no mobiles.
- 10 calls a second on email search is slower than LeadOcean's 200 on Agency.
- No database search by filter. You bring the names.
Best for: owners who know the name and domain and want cheap, verified emails at volume.
Pricing: Basic $19, Premium $39, Advanced $89 and Hypergrowth $499 a month. Yearly Basic is $190 (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).
4. Hunter: best for domain lookups with an app and extension
Hunter is the best-known email finder, built around a domain. One credit is one email found, and nothing is charged if nothing is found (Hunter help, September 2026). Unlimited team members share one credit pool on every all-in-one plan.
The free plan gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, Growth is $149 for 10,000 and Scale is $299 for 25,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). At volume the route is Data Platform, which sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).
Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second (Hunter API docs, September 2026). The remote MCP server at https://mcp.hunter.io/mcp is included in every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Unlimited team members on one credit pool.
- 15 requests a second on the core endpoints.
- MCP server included on every plan at no extra cost.
- Browser extension for owners who do not use the API.
Cons
- The top all-in-one plan stops at 25,000 credits a month, so volume means Data Platform or Enterprise.
- Domain-first. To build a list by title or seniority, you page through domains.
- Monthly credits do not carry over. The 1M price is a one-off purchase, not a monthly bill.
Best for: owners who find emails by domain and want an app and extension beside the API.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles
FullEnrich queries 25+ sources per contact and charges for what it finds. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not found costs 0 (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). It states about an 80% work-email find rate, a vendor claim we did not test (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month ($0.035 a credit), and above that you contact sales. API, MCP, search and bulk CSV are on every plan, and users are unlimited on every plan.
The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). Unused credits roll over 3 months on monthly plans and 12 months on annual plans (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
Pros
- Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call covers several vendors.
- No charge for not found or landline results.
- Unlimited users, with API and MCP on every plan.
Cons
- The highest credit price here, at $0.035 on the top monthly tier.
- No public 1M price.
- 60 API calls a minute is one of the lowest default limits on this page.
- Mobiles cost 10 credits, so phone-heavy client lists get costly.
Best for: owners who want waterfall emails and mobiles at modest volume.
Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits. Enterprise is custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
6. Prospeo: best for small teams that want an extension
Prospeo sells an email and mobile finder per user, on credits. One verified email costs 1 credit and one mobile costs 10. A lookup that returns nothing costs nothing, and re-enriching the same record within 90 days is free (Prospeo help, September 2026).
Free has 100 credits a month. Paid plans are priced per user: Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits, Growth is $99 for 5,000 and Pro is $249 for 15,000 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Plan credits from every seat go into one shared team pool. Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle.
The Enrich API allows 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth and 30 on Pro. Daily caps run from 2,000 on Starter to 500,000 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server at https://mcp.prospeo.io exposes 8 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Chrome extension and CRM sync for owners who prospect in a browser.
- A miss costs no credit, and repeat enrichment is free for 90 days.
- Seat credits pool across the team.
Cons
- Per-user pricing, so every added account manager adds a seat.
- No single tier reaches 1M. The cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats plus a $3,500 add-on.
- Daily caps of 2,000 on Starter and 5,000 on Growth.
- Credits expire each cycle.
Best for: small agency teams that want an extension, CRM sync and pay-as-you-go emails.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
7. Apollo: best for owners who want a sales workspace

Apollo is a sales workspace with an email finder inside it. It has a lead database, sequences, a dialer and CRM sync. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8 (Apollo API pricing, September 2026).
Pricing is per seat. Billed monthly, Free has 75 credits and Basic is $65 a seat for 2,500. Professional is $99 for 4,000 and Organization is $149 for 6,000, with a 3-seat minimum (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Credits are pooled across the team, expire each cycle and do not roll over.
Every plan includes API access. Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans, and search allows 200 a minute and 50,000 a day (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). The official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp takes OAuth or an API key on any plan (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Sequences, dialer and CRM sync beside the finder, so one tool runs outreach too.
- API and MCP on every plan, including Free.
Cons
- Credits scale with seats, so volume across clients gets expensive. 1M lookups needs about 250 Professional seats.
- Credits do not roll over, including purchased add-ons.
- The price of an extra credit is not public.
Best for: owners who want finding, sequencing and calling in one workspace, and pay per rep.
Pricing: Free. Basic $65, Professional $99, Organization $149 per seat a month (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026 except LeadOcean pricing (October 2026). Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Hunter's and Anymail Finder's figures are one-off purchases valid 12 months, not monthly bills. FullEnrich sells no plan at 1M a month. Prospeo's path is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500, or $11,223 once billed yearly. Apollo's figure is 250 Professional seats at $99, or 400 Basic seats at $49 billed yearly.

FAQ
What is the best email finder for a marketing agency owner?
For an owner who runs lookups by API or agent, LeadOcean Agency fits best at $497 a month flat. For a known list of names with live verification, Anymail Finder fits. For work in a browser, Hunter and Prospeo fit. Your own pipeline needs few lookups, so any free plan covers a first test.
How much does it cost to find 1M emails?
On list price, LeadOcean Agency is $497 a month flat. Icypeas is $3,992 a month, Anymail Finder is $4,990 once and Hunter is $6,900 once. Prospeo's cheapest public path is $14,456 a month. FullEnrich publishes no 1M price (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).
Do email finders charge per seat?
Some do. Prospeo and Apollo price per user, so cost grows with your team. Anymail Finder, Hunter and FullEnrich share one pool across unlimited users. LeadOcean charges per plan: Agency is $497 a month for the team with 5 keys.
Can I use one account for several clients?
It depends on the vendor's terms. LeadOcean's Agency plan states use for your own and your clients' work. Check the terms of any other tool before you run client lists through it. Reselling the data as a product needs LeadOcean Platform.
Do email finders have an MCP server?
All seven do. LeadOcean's has 13 tools and covers search, enrichment, phones and export. Hunter's takes an API key. Anymail Finder's signs in with a browser approval. Compare the tools each server exposes, because some only look up one address.
Is there a free email finder?
Yes. LeadOcean's free plan is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Hunter gives 50 credits a month, Prospeo 100 and Apollo 75. The guide to email finders explains how they work. For UK-only lists, see best email finder tools UK.
