BlitzAPI is a data API you search and enrich from, sold as one flat monthly fee. Dropcontact finds and verifies emails for contacts you already have, and charges one credit per email found. BlitzAPI wins when you start from LinkedIn profiles and want a predictable bill. Dropcontact wins when you start from a messy list of names and companies.
Blitz figures were checked in September 2026 and Dropcontact figures in October 2026, each with its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.
Verdict
- Pick BlitzAPI if you feed LinkedIn profile URLs from code and want to search people and companies too. A flat fee covers it, and phones (US only) are on the top plan. The catch: its published prices belong to accounts opened by September 30, 2026.
- Pick Dropcontact if you hold names and companies and need verified business emails, or you want the credit back on a miss. It also suits European buyers who want its CNIL audit claim, and CRM teams who want native HubSpot, Pipedrive and Salesforce connectors.
- Pick neither if you want a filterable database, bulk export and an MCP server that returns records, on one flat plan. BlitzAPI has no documented export and its MCP server only reads docs. Dropcontact has no database to search. LeadOcean is one option.

Blitz prices are in US dollars and Dropcontact prices are in euros. We do not convert between them.
Data and coverage
BlitzAPI owns a searchable dataset and Dropcontact does not. BlitzAPI lists 550M+ profiles and 65M+ companies (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Dropcontact says it works only with algorithms and uses no contact databases (Dropcontact pricing, October 2026). So there is nothing to count or filter at Dropcontact. You bring the contact.
On email, BlitzAPI counts 65M+ verified work emails and retests them at least every 30 days. An address it cannot prove comes back as not found (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Dropcontact builds the address from a name and a company, then verifies it. Each result gets a qualification such as nominative@pro or catch_all (Dropcontact API docs, October 2026).
Dropcontact publishes one hit-rate figure. In a 20,000-contact test it reports a 54.9% effective enrichment rate, after removing hard bounces and wrong domains (Dropcontact benchmark, October 2026). Dropcontact funded and ran that study, and BlitzAPI is not among the tools it names. Treat it as a claim to test, not a ranking.
Phones differ in kind. BlitzAPI holds 45M+ US numbers and sells them only on the $599 Full plan. Dropcontact returns phone and mobile_phone fields, and its pricing page says mobile numbers come from signature extraction in internal email flows. It publishes no coverage count (Dropcontact pricing, October 2026).
Search is where they split. BlitzAPI has a Find People endpoint that stops at 50,000 results per query (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Dropcontact has no search at all.
Test both on your own list before you buy. Send the same 500 contacts through each free allowance and compare the hit rate.
API and developer experience
Both are JSON APIs, but they take different input. BlitzAPI's work email lookup takes a LinkedIn profile URL. It returns found, a verified email and an all_emails array, and counts one record (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
curl -X POST "https://api.blitz-api.ai/v2/enrichment/email" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "x-api-key: $BLITZAPI_API_KEY" \
-d '{"person_linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe"}'Dropcontact needs a first name, a last name and a company, or a LinkedIn URL, or an email. LinkedIn URL input is listed on the Growth plan, not Starter (Dropcontact pricing, October 2026). You POST up to 250 contacts, then GET the result with the request ID. It returns the original data untouched if no email is found (Dropcontact API docs, October 2026).
curl -X POST "https://api.dropcontact.com/v1/people/enrich/all" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "X-Access-Token: $DROPCONTACT_API_KEY" \
-d '{"data":[{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","website":"acme.com"}],"language":"en"}'The GET to /v1/people/enrich/all/{request_id} returns "Request not ready yet, try again in 30 seconds" until processing ends. A custom_callback_url webhook removes the polling (Dropcontact API docs, October 2026).
Rate limits shape how each one scales. BlitzAPI limits are per endpoint: 50 requests per second for accounts opened by September 30, and 5 as the standard (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Dropcontact allows 60 requests per second. Each request carries up to 250 contacts, so the limit rarely binds.
For agents, only Dropcontact returns records. Its MCP server enriches a contact or validates an email, with OAuth or an API token (Dropcontact MCP page, October 2026). BlitzAPI's MCP server answers questions about its docs and cannot look anyone up (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Pricing
BlitzAPI charges per month, whatever you pull. Dropcontact charges per email found. To compare them, price a month of lookups at two sizes.
At 10,000 records a month. BlitzAPI needs Plus, because Core has no verified emails. Plus is $499 a month. Only emails found count as results, so 10,000 lookups return at most 10,000. That is $499 / 10,000 = $0.0499 per email at best (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). No billed-yearly price is published.
Dropcontact needs 10,000 credits to find 10,000 emails. The nearest published tier is 11,000 credits: €199 a month on Starter, or €166 a month billed yearly. €199 / 10,000 = €0.0199 per email at best (Dropcontact pricing, October 2026). A miss is refunded, so a lower hit rate lowers the credits you use.
At 1M records a month. For an account opened by September 30, 2026, BlitzAPI at 1M is $499 a month at list. 1,000,000 results sit under the 15,000,000 a month fair use line. One Plus plan covers it: $499 x 1 month = $499, or $0.0005 per email (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). At 50 requests per second, 1,000,000 / 50 = 20,000 seconds, about 5.6 hours. At the standard 5, it is 200,000 seconds, about 2.3 days.
Dropcontact has no public 1M price. Its top published tier is 150,000 credits a month, and Enterprise starts at 200,000 credits on a custom quote (Dropcontact pricing, October 2026). We do not multiply a rate out to 1M here. Ask Dropcontact for a quote. Note that 1,000,000 contacts at 250 per request is 4,000 POST calls.
One caution on BlitzAPI. The $399, $499 and $599 prices, the 50 requests per second and the 15,000,000 fair use line belong to accounts opened by September 30, 2026. BlitzAPI has not published prices for accounts opened after that date, and the standard rate is 5 requests per second (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). Above 15,000,000 results a month there is no public price at all.

Where BlitzAPI wins
- Predictable cost. A flat monthly fee, no credits and no overage line, at least for accounts opened by September 30.
- Cost at volume, for older accounts. $499 for a month of 1M work emails on an account opened by September 30, 2026, against a custom quote from Dropcontact.
- A dataset to search. 550M+ profiles and 65M+ companies, with people and company search, so you can build a list and not only clean one.
- Published scale. You can size a project from its docs before you sign up.
- Job postings. 100M+ postings to search (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Where Dropcontact wins
- Starting from names. It finds an email from a name and a company. BlitzAPI's email lookup needs a LinkedIn URL.
- Pay on success. A credit is charged only for a verified email, and a miss is refunded (Dropcontact API docs, October 2026).
- An MCP server that returns records. BlitzAPI's only searches its docs.
- Entry price and no deadline. Starter is €29 a month for 500 credits, and its published prices carry no cut-off date.
- European and CRM fit. Native HubSpot, Pipedrive and Salesforce connectors, and a stated CNIL audit (Dropcontact pricing, October 2026).
If you need volume through an API
LeadOcean is a third option if you want to search, enrich and export at volume on one price. Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price, and 100 requests per second per key. Both plans include the REST API and an MCP server with 12 tools that return records. POST /v1/exports pulls up to 50,000 rows per request. See pricing.
FAQ
Is BlitzAPI or Dropcontact cheaper?
At 10,000 emails a month, Dropcontact is cheaper on list price: €199 against $499, in different currencies. At 1M, BlitzAPI lists $499 and Dropcontact has no public price. Blitz's published prices only cover accounts opened by September 30, 2026.
Does Dropcontact have a database like BlitzAPI?

Which one has an MCP server?
Both do, but they do different jobs. Dropcontact's MCP server enriches a contact or validates an email. BlitzAPI's MCP server gives AI tools access to its documentation only, not to records (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Which one finds phone numbers?
BlitzAPI sells US phone numbers on the $599 Full plan, 45M+ of them. Dropcontact returns phone and mobile_phone fields and publishes no coverage count. Test both on your own list.
