BlitzAPI is a data API with one flat monthly fee. RocketReach is a contact finder with an API on the side, billed in plans and credits. If you pull verified work emails in code at volume, BlitzAPI is the one with a published flat price, for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. If a person looks up contacts one at a time, RocketReach is the better fit.
All prices and limits below were checked in September 2026, each with its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.
Verdict
- Pick BlitzAPI if you mostly need verified work emails for LinkedIn profiles from code, at a bill you can predict. One flat fee, no credits. The prices and 50 requests per second apply to accounts opened by September 30, 2026, and newer prices are not published.
- Pick RocketReach if people on your team look up contacts by hand and want a bigger claimed index, personal emails and phones outside the US. It bills only for emails graded A or A-, and a lookup that finds nothing is free (RocketReach FAQ, September 2026).
- Pick neither if you want volume through an API, an MCP server that returns records and a CSV export on one flat plan. BlitzAPI's MCP server only reads its docs, and RocketReach caps lookups per month. LeadOcean is one option.

Data and coverage
BlitzAPI lists 550M+ profiles and 65M+ companies (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). RocketReach claims 700M+ professionals, and its docs give two company counts, 60M+ and 35M (RocketReach docs, September 2026). On paper RocketReach holds more people, and the counts are not like for like.
Email is where the units differ. BlitzAPI counts 65M+ verified work emails, proven against live mail servers and re-tested at least every 30 days. An address it cannot prove comes back as not found (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). RocketReach publishes no count of contacts with an email. It grades each address and charges only for A and A- (RocketReach FAQ, September 2026).
Phones split by geography. BlitzAPI holds 45M+ numbers, all in the US, and sells them only on the $599 Full plan (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). RocketReach publishes no phone count and no country limit. It charges 6 credits for a phone (RocketReach credits, September 2026).
RocketReach also sells personal emails at 3 credits. BlitzAPI's email endpoint returns work emails only. BlitzAPI adds 100M+ job postings, which RocketReach does not list.
Test both on your own list before you buy. Run the same 500 LinkedIn URLs through each free plan and compare the hit rate. BlitzAPI's trial gives 1,000 credits but has no phone endpoints. RocketReach's free plan gives 5 lookups, so a 500-profile test needs a paid plan (BlitzAPI llms-full, September 2026; G2, reported, September 2026).
API and developer experience
Both are plain REST APIs with an API key header. BlitzAPI gives you fewer inputs and a simpler answer. RocketReach gives you more ways to match a person, and a lookup that can come back unfinished.
BlitzAPI's work email lookup takes a LinkedIn URL. It returns found, the verified email and an all_emails array. It counts one record on the trial and nothing extra on a paid plan (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). The request, with a placeholder profile:
curl -X POST "https://api.blitz-api.ai/v2/enrichment/email" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "x-api-key: $BLITZAPI_API_KEY" \
-d '{"person_linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe"}'RocketReach's person lookup is a GET. It accepts a LinkedIn URL, an email, a phone, or a name plus employer, and it consumes credits (RocketReach docs, September 2026).
curl "https://api.rocketreach.co/api/v2/person/lookup?linkedin_url=https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe" \
-H "Api-Key: $ROCKETREACH_API_KEY"The lookup can answer with a status of progress. You then poll the status endpoint or register a webhook to get the verified emails. Bulk lookup needs a webhook and takes up to 100 people per batch (RocketReach docs, September 2026).
Rate limits shape how each one scales. BlitzAPI limits are per endpoint and per second. Accounts opened by September 30 run at 50 requests per second. The standard rate is 5 (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).
RocketReach has a global limit of 10 requests per second. On top of that, each plan has monthly caps: 5,000 person lookups on Essentials, 20,000 on Pro, 50,000 on Ultimate and 200,000 on Custom (RocketReach rate limits, September 2026).
For agents, RocketReach has the more useful MCP server. It uses OAuth 2.1, exposes 9 tools and looks people up (RocketReach MCP docs, September 2026). BlitzAPI's MCP server answers questions about its docs and cannot search people (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Pricing
BlitzAPI charges per month, whatever you pull. RocketReach charges per plan and per credit, and publishes no dollar price for the credits. To compare them, convert RocketReach to a cost per record where a price exists.
At 10,000 records a month. BlitzAPI needs Plus, because Core has no verified emails. Plus is $499 a month. Only emails it finds count as results, so 10,000 lookups return at most 10,000 (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).
RocketReach has no public API price. The credit count is 10,000 x 2 credits for a professional email = 20,000 Universal Credits, with no dollar price per credit published (RocketReach credits, September 2026). Ask api@rocketreach.co for a quote.
A single rep is different. The top self-serve plan, Ultimate, lists at $209 a month on monthly billing, reported by G2 (G2, reported, September 2026). That undercuts Plus by $290.
At 1M records a month. For an account opened by September 30, 2026, one million work emails sits under BlitzAPI's 15,000,000 results a month fair use line. One Plus plan covers it: $499 x 1 month = $499 (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Time matters too. 1,000,000 / 50 per second = 20,000 seconds, about 5.6 hours. At the standard 5 per second it is about 2.3 days.
RocketReach has no public price at 1M. The API route is 1,000,000 x 2 = 2,000,000 Universal Credits with no dollar price published (RocketReach credits, September 2026). The highest published person lookup cap is 200,000 a month, so 1M lookups is 1,000,000 / 200,000 = 5 months (RocketReach rate limits, September 2026).
Self-serve seats are not a 1M route either, so ask api@rocketreach.co for a real price.
One caution on BlitzAPI. The $399, $499 and $599 prices, the 50 requests per second and the 15,000,000 results line belong to accounts opened by September 30, 2026. The offer closed to new accounts after that day. Prices for later accounts are not published, and the standard rate is 5 requests per second (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026).
Above 15,000,000 results a month, BlitzAPI publishes no price either. Its Terms allow throttling unless a higher allowance is agreed (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026).
Where BlitzAPI wins
- Predictable cost. A flat monthly fee, no credits and no overage line, at least for accounts opened by September 30.
- A published price at volume. $499 at 1M work emails for launch-offer accounts. RocketReach publishes no 1M price.
- Speed. 50 requests per second per endpoint for accounts opened by September 30, against RocketReach's 10 per second across the whole API.
- No monthly lookup cap. RocketReach stops at 200,000 person lookups on its top published tier.
BlitzAPI's weak points are US-only phones, no documented bulk export and an MCP server that only reads docs. Core, Plus and Full carry no SLA (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Where RocketReach wins
- One seat, one person. For a single rep, $69 to $209 a month on monthly billing is far below BlitzAPI's $399 to $599 (reported by G2, September 2026).
- MCP. A server that looks up people, with 9 tools, against BlitzAPI's docs-only server.
- Personal emails and phones beyond the US. BlitzAPI's emails are work emails and its phones are US only.
- A bigger claimed index. 700M+ professionals against 550M+ profiles. Test it on your own list before you trust it.
RocketReach's weak points are credits with no published dollar price, an API plan set up by email, and lookups that can return a status of progress. The pricing page also blocked automated reads on 30 September 2026, so annual prices are not used here.
If you need volume through an API
We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. It has a free plan with 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, and no credits or per-record price (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. The same REST API and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools run on every plan, and the MCP server searches, enriches and exports records (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).
For bulk pulls, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, or you can use the Exports page in the app. 1M rows is 20 requests over two days (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). See pricing, and the BlitzAPI alternative page for a direct comparison.
