7 Best MillionVerifier Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)

Seven email verifiers and data APIs for teams that clean lists in code or at volume, ranked by fit, with list prices and the cost of 1M checks.

People leave MillionVerifier over how it treats risky results, how it scales and what it leaves out. Unknown and catch-all credits are deducted, then added back as goodwill credits. Accounts it flags for scraped or non-subscriber lists lose that add-back (MillionVerifier help, October 2026).

Bulk runs default to 3,000 emails a minute, so 1M takes about six hours. A file holds at most 1 million emails and 100MB (MillionVerifier help, October 2026). You buy a listed pack, because there is no monthly plan (MillionVerifier help, October 2026).

It also verifies addresses and does not find them, and no MCP server appears in its docs. This page ranks seven alternatives for API and volume buyers. Six check addresses you already hold. LeadOcean is last, because it sells the records rather than cleaning a list. For the full MillionVerifier price ladder, read MillionVerifier pricing.

"1M records" here means 1M email checks, one credit each. LeadOcean's row is 1M records returned, not 1M checks. Figures are USD list prices. For reference, MillionVerifier is $449 for a 1M-credit pack (MillionVerifier pricing, October 2026). Every tool below costs more at 1M, so you are paying for something specific.

What we evaluated

  • API: single and batch endpoints, the stated rate limit and how you send a large file.
  • Price at volume: list price at 1M checks, monthly first and billed-yearly after it, with the one-off pack where one exists.
  • Unknown results: whether the vendor charges for an answer it could not give, and whether that is a rule or a goodwill credit.
  • MCP: whether an agent has a server it can call, or only documentation.
  • Limits that bite: file sizes, batch caps, minimum purchases and what happens past 1M.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September and October 2026. We ran no accuracy or bounce test for this page, so we quote no accuracy numbers of our own. Where a vendor quotes one, we label it a vendor claim.

1. Bouncer: best for a batch API with free unknowns

Bouncer fixes the main complaint about MillionVerifier. It says it never charges for duplicates or for unknown results, as a stated rule on its pricing page (Bouncer pricing, October 2026). Credits run $8 for 1,000, $400 for 100,000 and $2,000 for 1M. They never expire, and above 1M you contact sales.

It has three API modes. Real-time is limited to 1,000 requests a minute by default, with higher limits on request (Bouncer API docs, October 2026). Batch takes up to 100,000 emails per batch, and you can create 60 batches a minute (Bouncer API docs, October 2026). Batch Sync keeps a 24-hour cache, so the same address is not verified twice in a day (Bouncer docs, October 2026).

Bouncer also sells a toxicity check, which scores addresses from 0 to 5 for breached or complaint-prone contacts. The Deliverability Kit is a separate subscription at $25, $125 and $250 a month. Its docs index lists no MCP server (Bouncer docs index, October 2026).

Pros

  • No charge for unknown results or duplicates, stated on the pricing page.
  • Credits never expire, and 100 free credits to start.
  • Three API modes, including a batch endpoint of 100,000 emails.
  • Toxicity scoring on top of deliverability.

Cons

  • $2,000 for 1M is more than four times MillionVerifier's pack.
  • Real-time defaults to 1,000 requests a minute, low for sign-up spikes.
  • Batches run one after another, so a large batch holds up small ones.
  • The minimum purchase is 1,000 credits, and there is no price above 1M.

Best for: engineers who run large offline batches and want unknowns free by rule.

Pricing: $8 per 1,000 credits, $400 for 100,000, $2,000 for 1M (Bouncer pricing, October 2026).

2. ZeroBounce: best for real-time API headroom and a deliverability toolkit

ZeroBounce has the widest API on this list. Its docs state a limit of 80,000 requests in 10 seconds, or 100,000 on the ONE subscription, with a one-minute block if you exceed it (ZeroBounce API docs, September 2026). MillionVerifier allows 160 requests per second on its single API. Batch calls take up to 200 emails, and a file endpoint takes bigger lists.

Pricing has two routes. Pay as you go is $39 for 2,000 credits and $3,199 for 1M, one-off. ONE is a subscription from $99 a month, or $79 billed yearly, for 10,000 credits plus inbox, blacklist and DMARC tools. At 1M it is $2,499 a month, or $1,999 billed yearly (ZeroBounce pricing, September 2026).

An unknown result costs nothing, and so does a duplicate. Email Finder queries cost 20 credits each, which makes finding expensive at small volume. Credits never expire with an active ONE subscription, and otherwise expire two years after the last payment (ZeroBounce docs, September 2026). No MCP server appears in those docs.

Pros

  • The highest stated real-time rate limit in this group.
  • Unknown results and duplicates are free.
  • Freemium gives 100 credits every month, not once.
  • ONE bundles inbox placement, blacklist monitoring and DMARC.

Cons

  • $3,199 for 1M is about seven times MillionVerifier.
  • Small packs cost more per credit: $0.0195 at 2,000 against $0.0032 at 1M.
  • ONE is a bundle you pay for whether you use the tools or not.
  • Credits can expire without a subscription.

Best for: developers validating sign-ups in real time, and deliverability leads who want the tools in one bill.

Pricing: Freemium 100 credits a month. Pay as you go from $39 once. ONE from $99 a month ($79 billed yearly) (ZeroBounce pricing, September 2026).

3. Emailable: best for a plain verify API with large batches

Emailable sits between the cheap packs and ZeroBounce. Credits are $38 for 5,000, $420 for 100,000 and $2,100 for 1M, one-off, in USD. They never expire, a new account gets 250 free credits, and unknown results and duplicates are refunded after a list finishes (Emailable pricing, October 2026). The page shows your local currency, so check the USD view. The minimum purchase is 5,000 credits.

The batch endpoint takes up to 50,000 emails per request and can post the results to your webhook URL when the job ends (Emailable API docs, October 2026). Limits are published per endpoint. Verify allows 25 requests per second and batch allows 5 per second (Emailable rate limits, October 2026). One million single calls at 25 a second take about 11 hours.

Emailable says it typically verifies 250,000 addresses in about 7 minutes. That is a vendor claim we did not test. A test key returns sample results and can simulate error responses without spending credits. Extras share the credit pool: an inbox report is 100 credits and a blacklist check is 5. No MCP server appears in its API docs.

Pros

  • $2,100 for 1M with no expiry on credits.
  • Unknown results and duplicates are refunded.
  • Batches of 50,000 emails with a results webhook.
  • Test keys that simulate errors for free.

Cons

  • $2,100 for 1M is about four and a half times MillionVerifier.
  • Batch calls are capped at 5 a second on standard accounts.
  • The pricing page follows your location, which makes the USD price easy to misread.
  • No MCP server in its docs.

Best for: developers who want one clear verify endpoint and big batches, without a bundle.

Pricing: 250 free credits. 5,000 credits $38. 100,000 credits $420. 1M credits $2,100 (Emailable pricing, October 2026).

4. Kickbox: best for sign-up form checks with a sandbox

Kickbox is a developer-first verifier with the simplest price list here. Credits run $5 for 500, $70 for 10,000, $500 for 100,000 and $2,999 for 1M. They are one-off packs, and unknown results are refunded (Kickbox pricing, October 2026). Above 1M you talk to sales, and 100 checks are free.

The API suits checks at the point of capture. Each IP can hold 25 parallel requests, with a separate limit of 8,000 requests per clock minute (Kickbox API docs, October 2026). At that rate 1M single calls take about two hours. The single endpoint timeout defaults to 6,000 ms and goes up to 30,000 (Kickbox API docs, October 2026).

Batch jobs take lists of up to 1 million addresses by API, and a free sandbox key tests your integration without spending credits (Kickbox, October 2026). Kickbox says it guarantees 95% accuracy. That is a vendor claim we did not test. The verification endpoints reject browser calls, so you call them from your back end.

Pros

  • Sandbox keys test your integration without spending credits.
  • 8,000 requests a minute, with a clear parallel-request rule.
  • Unknown results are refunded.
  • Batch jobs of up to 1 million addresses by API.

Cons

  • $2,999 for 1M is about six and a half times MillionVerifier.
  • No monthly plan and no price above 1M on the pricing page.
  • No MCP server in its docs navigation.

Best for: SaaS teams that block fake sign-ups at the form and want a clean test mode.

Pricing: 100 free. $70 for 10,000. $500 for 100,000. $2,999 for 1M (Kickbox pricing, October 2026).

5. NeverBounce: best for bulk jobs by API

NeverBounce is the other name on most MillionVerifier shortlists. It verifies addresses you already hold and does not find them. Its pricing page blocked our reader with a bot challenge in October 2026, so we publish no price here.

The API splits the work in two. The single endpoint is for form submissions, and the docs warn that using it to clean a list one by one can get your account locked. For lists you create a job, either from a CSV URL or from data in the request body (NeverBounce docs, October 2026).

The limits are written down. An account can run 10 concurrent jobs and 50 runs a day. Millions of emails go in 1 million chunks, and a request body is capped at 25MB (NeverBounce usage guidelines, October 2026). A list fails to start if your credit balance is short. No MCP server appears in its docs.

Pros

  • A documented job pipeline: create, poll, download.
  • The same API verifies one address or a million.
  • Clear guidance on job sizes and daily runs.

Cons

  • No public price we could read, so you cannot size 1M a month without checking the page.
  • Single checks can return more unknowns than a bulk job.
  • A short balance blocks the whole list.
  • No MCP server in its docs.

Best for: teams that already run NeverBounce through a CRM or ESP and want an API for bulk jobs.

Pricing: Not confirmed. NeverBounce's pricing page blocked automated reading in October 2026. For the details we could read, see NeverBounce pricing.

6. Hunter: best for finding and verifying emails together, with MCP

Hunter finds emails first and verifies second. Plans are credit-based and shared across tools. Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits, or $34 billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026). An Email Verifier check costs 0.5 credit, so Starter covers 4,000 checks (Hunter help center, September 2026).

For volume, the Data Platform sells Verification credits separately. They are one-off and valid 12 months, from $11 for 1,000. The calculator on the page prices 1,000,000 Verification credits at $2,800 (Hunter Data Platform, October 2026). That is about six times MillionVerifier's pack.

The verifier endpoint allows 10 requests a second and 300 a minute (Hunter API docs, September 2026). At 300 a minute, 1M checks take about 56 hours. Hunter has an official remote MCP server at https://mcp.hunter.io/mcp, included in every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

Pros

  • Official MCP server on every plan, including Free.
  • Email Finder and Verifier in the same credit pool.
  • Verification is half a credit on all-in-one plans.
  • A Data Platform for API and bulk use, with 12-month credit validity.

Cons

  • 300 verifier calls a minute is slow for large lists.
  • $2,800 for 1M Verification credits is well above the cheapest packs.
  • Monthly plan credits reset each month and do not carry over.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and want an agent to run both steps.

Pricing: Free 50 credits a month. Starter $49 a month ($34 billed yearly). Verification credits from $11 per 1,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

7. LeadOcean: best for building the list in code or with an agent

LeadOcean is on this list for a different reason. It does not verify addresses you upload, and no API endpoint takes a list to clean. It is a people and company database: 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. Each email comes back with an email_status from verified to spam_trap.

That fits one MillionVerifier buyer: the one who pays for contacts, then pays again to clean them. Pro is $499 a month flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute, not cut off. There is no per-record price and no overage invoice.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"email":"jane@acme.com","reveal_email":true}'

Send an email to POST /v1/people/enrich and you get the person behind it, with its status if we hold the address. If we hold nothing, it is a free 404. That is a lookup, not a verification. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Flat $499 a month, with no credit meter and no per-check cost.
  • email_status on every email, filterable at search time.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • A miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.

Cons

  • No bulk endpoint to verify a list you already own.
  • The status is stored, not a live mail-server check, and the dataset is refreshed monthly.
  • No refund for bounced emails. Read email_status before you send.
  • The app has an Exports page with a CSV download, and no sequencer, dialer or CRM.

Best for: engineers and agents that source contacts and need the address and its status in one call.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

Sources: the per-tool sections above. All prices are USD list prices. "None in its docs" means we found no MCP server in the docs we read, not that none exists. How to choose

  • You want unknowns free by rule, not by goodwill: Bouncer. Unknowns and duplicates are free, and Emailable refunds them too.
  • You validate sign-ups in real time and need rate headroom: ZeroBounce, at 80,000 requests in 10 seconds.
  • You want a plain verify API with 50,000-email batches: Emailable, at $2,100 for 1M.
  • You test an integration before you pay: Kickbox. Sandbox keys spend no credits.
  • You already run NeverBounce in your stack: keep it for bulk jobs, and confirm its live price first.
  • You want verifying and finding with an agent in the loop: Hunter, which has an official MCP server.
  • You pull contacts in code or through an agent: LeadOcean. You get the address and its status in one call, at a flat $499 a month.
  • You only clean one big list and price is everything: stay on MillionVerifier. None of these beats $449 for 1M.

For other tool categories we have compared, see Wappalyzer alternatives, Surfe alternatives and Harmonic alternatives. For our own plans, see LeadOcean pricing.

Verdict

Bouncer is the closest swap for batch API users who want unknowns free by rule. ZeroBounce wins on real-time rate limit and a deliverability toolkit, and Emailable on a plain API with 50,000-email batches. Kickbox wins on sandbox testing and sign-up forms. NeverBounce stays on the list for bulk jobs, with a price you must confirm. Hunter wins when an agent runs find and verify together. LeadOcean wins for anyone who buys contacts and verification separately today: it replaces both with one flat price, but it will not clean a list you upload. If you only clean lists and want the lowest bill, MillionVerifier is still the cheapest here.

FAQ

What is the cheapest MillionVerifier alternative at 1M checks?

Bouncer, at $2,000 for 1M credits, then Emailable at $2,100 (Bouncer pricing, October 2026, Emailable pricing, October 2026). MillionVerifier itself is $449 for 1M, so every alternative here costs more per check.

Which alternative has the best real-time API?

ZeroBounce states the highest limit, at 80,000 requests in 10 seconds (ZeroBounce API docs, September 2026). Kickbox allows 8,000 a minute and gives free sandbox keys (Kickbox docs, October 2026). MillionVerifier allows 160 requests per second.

Do these tools charge for unknown results?

Bouncer, ZeroBounce and Emailable do not charge for unknown results. Kickbox refunds the credit (Kickbox pricing, October 2026). MillionVerifier adds the credit back after the run, and can remove that add-back for flagged accounts. We could not confirm the NeverBounce rule.

Which of them have an MCP server?

Hunter has an official one at https://mcp.hunter.io/mcp, and LeadOcean has one with 12 tools. We found none in the docs of MillionVerifier, Bouncer, ZeroBounce, Emailable, Kickbox or NeverBounce. Check each vendor before you rely on that.

Do credits expire?

Bouncer, Emailable and MillionVerifier credits never expire. ZeroBounce credits never expire with an active ONE subscription, and otherwise expire two years after the last payment (ZeroBounce docs, September 2026). Hunter Data Platform credits are valid 12 months. Check NeverBounce's current terms.

Can LeadOcean replace MillionVerifier?

Only if you are building the list rather than cleaning one. LeadOcean returns people and companies with a stored email_status. It has no endpoint that verifies a list you upload, so keep a verifier for that job.

Stop paying twice for the same contacts. Start with 1,000 records and see email_status on every address.

Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.
