6 Best Email Finders for HeyReach in 2026 (Compared)

An email finder takes a name, a company or a LinkedIn profile and returns a work email, ideally one that has been checked. HeyReach users need one for the email leg of a campaign, and for any list that arrives without addresses. HeyReach itself keys on a LinkedIn profile URL, so a bad email does not break a LinkedIn sequence. It does hurt the email you send beside it.

Most people leave their first finder over bounces. A finder that returns unchecked guesses can burn a sending domain. The other complaints are per-seat pricing, credits that expire and hourly API caps.

We compared six finders on bounce protection, LinkedIn input, API, MCP and cost at 1M lookups a month. Several have their own page: Anymail Finder, Findymail, Icypeas, Hunter and Prospeo. Every competitor figure links to its source, checked in September 2026.

What we evaluated

  • Bounce protection. Does the tool verify the address live, flag catch-all domains and refund or credit a bounce? We did not run a bounce test, so we report what each vendor publishes.
  • LinkedIn input. HeyReach lists are LinkedIn profiles. Can the finder start from a profile URL, or does it need a name and a domain first?
  • API and MCP. Is there a public REST API on self-serve plans and a hosted MCP server? Can it reach HeyReach through its API, or the Zapier, Make and n8n integrations it lists (HeyReach integrations, October 2026)?
  • Rate limits. How many requests a second can one key send before it stalls on a list of 10,000?
  • Price at volume. What does 1M lookups a month cost at public list prices? If no public price reaches 1M, we say so and do not multiply a rate out.

1. LeadOcean: best for building the list and the email in one step

LeadOcean is a people and company data API with a hosted MCP server. You search 693M people by title, level, country and other filters. Each row carries the person's LinkedIn URL and one of 13 email_status values, from verified to spam_trap. You filter on status before the file ever reaches HeyReach.

The list-to-HeyReach path is three steps. First, size the list for free with a count. Second, export it with POST /v1/exports and emailStatus set to verified. Third, push the rows to HeyReach with AddLeadsToCampaignV2, which takes up to 100 leads a request (HeyReach docs, September 2026). The full script is in our LeadOcean and HeyReach stack guide.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/exports" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name":"heyreach-vps","limit":5000,"columns":["profile_first_name","profile_last_name","profile_url","email_N_address","email_N_status"],"caps":{"emails":1},"filters":{"jobLevel":["VP"],"country":["US"],"emailStatus":["verified"]}}'

LeadOcean does not verify an address live at the moment you ask, and it refunds nothing for a bounce. Read email_status before you send. It also has no Chrome extension and no sequencer, so HeyReach stays the sender.

Pros

  • Search and email in one call, so a list and its addresses come from the same record.
  • Every row has an email_status, so you can send only verified rows.
  • Flat pricing: no credits, no per-record price, no overage invoice. Paid plans have a fair-use pace.
  • Hosted MCP server with 13 tools, and a free count that sizes a list before you spend.

Cons

  • No bounce refund or credit-back.
  • No live verification at request time. The status comes with the record.
  • Bulk CSV export is not on Free. A 5,000-row export needs Solo.
  • The v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, even on a miss. Plain enrich does not.

Best for: agencies and RevOps teams that build HeyReach lists from filters, at volume or through an agent.

Pricing: Free $0 (1,000 records, one-off, no card), Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 a month, Platform $1,997 a month. See LeadOcean pricing, checked October 2026.

2. Anymail Finder: best for live verification and a bounce credit

Anymail Finder verifies an address live and charges 1 credit only when it finds a valid one. A search that finds no verified email is free, and a repeat within 30 days is free too (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). This is the strongest bounce story in the list.

A verified email that still bounces can be reported for a credit back after review, under a 97% delivery guarantee. The API docs state no rate limits and no daily caps, and bulk jobs take up to 100,000 rows (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026). The MCP server has five actions: find a person, find a decision maker, find company emails, verify an email and check your account (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).

It also fits a HeyReach file. Besides name plus domain lookups, the API has a Find Email by LinkedIn URL endpoint (Anymail Finder API docs, October 2026).

Pros

  • Live verification on every find.
  • Credit back on a bounce after review.
  • No charge for a miss. Unlimited team members share one credit pool.
  • Public one-time pack at 1M credits.

Cons

  • It finds emails for people you name. It does not build a list from filters.
  • Credits in a pack expire after 12 months. After you cancel a plan, unused credits expire at the end of the term.
  • The MCP server has no bulk or webhook actions.

Best for: teams that already hold names, domains or profile URLs and want the fewest bounces.

Pricing: $29 to $799 a month, or one-time packs up to $4,990 for 1,000,000 credits (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).

3. Findymail: best for verified emails from a LinkedIn URL

Findymail returns a verified email from a LinkedIn profile URL, either the full URL or just the username. It uses one finder credit only if a verified email is found. A separate verifier endpoint uses one verifier credit per check (Findymail API docs, September 2026). That matches how a HeyReach list looks, because the profile URL is already in the file.

The REST API uses Bearer auth and allows 300 concurrent requests on every endpoint. The official MCP server has 14 tools (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026). The homepage lists push integrations to Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist and Woodpecker. We found no direct HeyReach integration, so plan on a script or a Zapier, Make or n8n flow.

We cannot read its pricing page, which blocks automated access, so we quote no plan price and no 1M figure.

Pros

  • LinkedIn URL in, verified email out.
  • No charge when no verified email is found.
  • 300 concurrent requests, which suits a list of 10,000.
  • Official MCP server with 14 tools.

Cons

  • Pricing is not machine-readable. Check Findymail's pricing page.
  • No public 1M price.
  • No direct HeyReach integration found.
  • It finds emails for people you name. It does not build a list from filters.

Best for: HeyReach teams that already have profile URLs and want only verified addresses back.

Pricing: not quoted here. The pricing page shows a bot check to automated readers, so we state no plan price and no 1M price (Findymail pricing, October 2026).

4. Icypeas: best for cheap credits at volume

Icypeas sells credits, and it is the cheapest per credit in this list at volume. Email search costs 1 credit per found email, and a search that finds nothing costs nothing. The verifier costs 0.1 credit (Icypeas docs, September 2026). Every plan includes catch-all verification, the API, MCP and no-code integrations for Make, Zapier and n8n (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). See our Icypeas alternative page.

The 1,000,000-credit tier is $3,992 a month, or $3,326.67 a month billed yearly on the 12M-credit yearly tier. Unused credits roll over with no expiry. The hosted MCP server has 21 tools and signs in with your API key (Icypeas guide, September 2026).

Email search takes a name and a company or domain, not a profile URL. The rate limit is 10 calls a second on email search. Bulk search takes up to 5,000 rows per call at 1 call a second (Icypeas rate limits, September 2026).

Pros

  • Credits never expire, and you pay nothing for a miss.
  • Catch-all verification on every plan.
  • Public 1M price at $3,992 a month.
  • MCP server with 21 tools on every plan.

Cons

  • Starts from a name and a domain.
  • 10 calls a second on single email search.
  • No free plan. New accounts get 50 credits.
  • No bounce refund published.

Best for: teams running large lists that want a low per-email cost and Zapier, Make or n8n into HeyReach.

Pricing: Basic $19 a month for 1,000 credits, Premium $39 for 4,000, Advanced $89 for 10,000, Hypergrowth $499 for 100,000. At 1M credits: $3,992 a month (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).

5. Hunter: best for domain-first finding with a public 1M price

Hunter finds an email from a name and a company domain, then verifies it. Credits are charged per email found, and nothing is charged when nothing is found (Hunter pricing, September 2026). A separate verifier costs 0.5 credit per check. See our Hunter alternative page.

The API is predictable. Domain Search, Email Finder and Enrichment allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute (Hunter API docs, September 2026). There is an official MCP server at mcp.hunter.io/mcp, included in all plans (Hunter MCP, September 2026). The Bulk Email Finder handles up to 50,000 rows a file.

For volume, the Data Platform sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900 as a one-time purchase, valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).

Pros

  • Public price at 1M and a bulk finder for lists.
  • Verification built into the finder.
  • Official MCP server on every plan.
  • 15 requests a second on the core endpoints.

Cons

  • Starts from a name and a domain, not a LinkedIn profile.
  • Monthly credits do not carry over.
  • No bounce refund published.

Best for: teams with names and company domains that want a published price at volume.

Pricing: Free $0 (50 credits a month), Starter $49 a month for 2,000 credits ($34 billed yearly), Growth $149, Scale $299. At 1M: $6,900 on Data Platform (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

6. Prospeo: best for reps who want an extension and an API

Prospeo sells emails and mobiles on credits, per user. A verified email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 10 with the email included. A lookup with no result costs 0, and re-enriching the same record within 90 days is free (Prospeo help center, September 2026). See our Prospeo alternative page.

It has a Chrome extension on every plan, a REST API and a hosted MCP server at mcp.prospeo.io with 8 tools (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026). The enrich API allows 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth and 30 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026).

The cost problem is volume. No single plan reaches 1M credits, so the cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats plus the 350,000-credit add-on.

Pros

  • Chrome extension and API from one vendor.
  • No charge for a lookup with no result.
  • Hosted MCP server with 8 tools.
  • Per-credit prices published for every tier.

Cons

  • Priced per seat, and credits expire each cycle.
  • 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth.
  • No bounce refund published.
  • Expensive at 1M.

Best for: small sales teams that want a LinkedIn extension and a modest API.

Pricing: Free $0 (100 credits a month), Starter $49 a month for 2,000 credits ($37 billed yearly), Growth $99, Pro $249. At 1M credits: $14,456 a month, or $11,223 once for the year (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026 unless marked. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Anymail Finder and Hunter are one-time purchases valid 12 months, not monthly bills.

How to choose

  • Bounces are your main fear: Anymail Finder, for live verification and a credit back after review. Findymail if your list holds LinkedIn URLs.
  • Your list is LinkedIn URLs: Findymail or Anymail Finder, or LeadOcean if you also need the list built from filters.
  • You build lists from filters, at volume or with an agent: LeadOcean. Send only verified rows to HeyReach.
  • You want the lowest cost per email: Icypeas, with Zapier, Make or n8n into HeyReach.
  • You want a public price at 1M and an app: Hunter.
  • You want a Chrome extension next to the API: Prospeo, if your volume stays small.
  • You are not sure: start with a free plan. LeadOcean's 1,000 records are one-off and cover both REST and MCP.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for anyone building a HeyReach list from filters, through an API or an agent. The list, the LinkedIn URL and the email status come from one record at a flat price. Anymail Finder wins on bounce protection. Findymail wins when you already hold LinkedIn URLs, once you confirm its prices. Icypeas wins on cost per email, Hunter on a public one-time price at volume, and Prospeo for small teams that want an extension. If bounces cost you a sending domain, run Anymail Finder as a second check on the verified rows you pull from LeadOcean.

FAQ

What is the best email finder for HeyReach?

It depends on the job. For building a list and filtering on email status, LeadOcean. For live verification and a bounce credit, Anymail Finder. For verified emails from LinkedIn URLs, Findymail.

Does HeyReach need email addresses?

HeyReach sends LinkedIn actions, and a lead is identified by a LinkedIn profile URL. Emails matter when you run the email leg of a multichannel campaign, or sync leads to an email sequencer. HeyReach lists integrations with Instantly and Smartlead (HeyReach integrations, October 2026).

How do I stop emails bouncing before HeyReach?

Filter on a verified status before you export, and re-check catch-all addresses. With LeadOcean, send only rows where email_status is verified. LeadOcean gives no bounce refund, so the filter is your protection.

Can I add leads to HeyReach through an API?

Yes. HeyReach's AddLeadsToCampaignV2 takes up to 100 leads a request. Each lead is paired with the LinkedIn sender that will contact them (HeyReach docs, September 2026).

How much do email finders cost at 1M lookups?

LeadOcean Agency is $497 a month. Icypeas is $3,992 a month, Anymail Finder is $4,990 once and Hunter is $6,900 once. Prospeo's cheapest public path is $14,456 a month. Findymail has no public 1M price.

Do I need a credit card to try one?

Not for LeadOcean. The free plan has no card and 1,000 records. Check the other vendors' sign-up pages for their free tiers.
