An email finder turns a name and a company into a business email address. An agency needs one when it builds lists for many clients and the lookup count adds up across accounts.
Agencies hit four limits first: a credit meter that scales with every client, per-seat prices, caps on API calls and a bill that jumps at volume. This page ranks seven finders on those four points, with list prices checked in September 2026. Several have their own page: Hunter, Anymail Finder, Icypeas, FullEnrich, Prospeo and Apollo. "1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier or cheapest public path, not a price.
What we evaluated
- Volume across clients: how many lookups a month the plan covers, and the price at 1M.
- Price model: flat, credits or seats, and whether unused credits carry over.
- API and rate limit: which plan opens the API and how many requests a second it allows.
- MCP: whether an agent can run lookups through the vendor's server, and how it signs in.
- Seats and client use: how many people share one account, and what the plan says about client work.
We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test, so we quote none of our own. A number a vendor publishes is labeled a vendor claim.
1. LeadOcean: best for agencies that pull data by API or agent
LeadOcean is a people and company database behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. You search with 50 people filters, then take the email from the same record. Counts are free.
The Agency plan is built for this buyer. It costs $497 a month and covers 1M enrichments a day, with 25M search records a month, 5 API keys and 200 requests a second. It states that you can use it for your own and your clients' work. There are no credits: each paid plan has a fair-use pace, and reaching it slows the key until the window resets.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'Work emails are also at GET /v2/people/email/work. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools, from search_leads to export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026). Phones and bulk CSV export are included on Agency, at up to 50k rows a file.
Pros
- One flat $497 a month on Agency, with no credit meter and no per-seat price.
- Search by 50 people filters, then take emails and phones from the same database.
- 5 keys and 200 requests a second, so one key per client or per workflow.
- Email status on every record, from
verifiedtospam_trap.
Cons
- No Chrome extension, sequencer, dialer or CRM. Reps who prospect in a browser need another tool.
- No lookup by name plus domain. Search by company domain first, then enrich by
person_id. - No refund for bounces. Read
email_statusbefore you send. - Resell and embed rights sit on Platform at $1,997 a month, not Agency.
Best for: agencies and RevOps teams that run lookups in code or through an agent and want a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo is $97 a month for one person. Agency is $497 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. Anymail Finder: best for verified emails with free team seats
Anymail Finder verifies an address live and charges 1 credit only when it finds a valid one. A decision-maker search costs 2 credits. A search that finds no verified email is free, as is a repeat within 30 days (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
Monthly plans run from $29 for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000. Past that you buy one-time packs, and the 1,000,000-credit pack is $4,990, valid 12 months. Unlimited team members share one credit pool, so adding an account manager costs nothing. Prices are the USD view, because the page shows Canadian dollars to visitors in Canada.
The API docs state no rate limits and no daily call caps (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026). The MCP server has five actions: find a person, find a decision maker, find company emails, verify an email and check your account (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Pay only for emails it verifies, with a credit back for bounces after review.
- Unlimited team members on one pool.
- The 1M pack is $4,990, $0.005 a credit.
Cons
- No database search. You bring the people or companies to look up.
- The largest monthly plan is 100,000 credits for $799.
- The MCP server does not cover bulk files or webhooks.
Best for: agencies with a known list of names and domains per client that want live-verified emails.
Pricing: $29 to $799 a month, or one-time packs up to $4,990 for 1,000,000 credits (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
3. Icypeas: best for the lowest credit price at volume
Icypeas charges 1 credit per email found, and a search that finds nothing costs nothing. Verification is 0.1 credit (Icypeas docs, September 2026). It is the cheapest credit-based finder here at 1M.
Basic is $19 a month for 1,000 credits and Hypergrowth is $499 for 100,000. Its credit selector lists a 1,000,000-credit tier at $3,992 a month, or $39,920 a year for 12M credits billed yearly (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). The selector is hidden in the text view of the page, so check it live before you budget. Credits roll over with no expiry.
Email search allows 10 calls a second, and bulk search takes up to 5,000 rows per call at 1 call a second (Icypeas docs, September 2026). The hosted MCP server lists 21 tools and signs in with your API key (Icypeas MCP guide, September 2026). The pricing page lists no per-seat price.
Pros
- The cheapest public 1M price among credit-based tools, with no charge for misses.
- API, MCP and catch-all verification on every plan.
- Credits never expire, so a quiet client month is not lost.
Cons
- Database search costs 0.02 credit per result, on top of 1 credit per email found.
- 10 calls a second on email search is slower than LeadOcean's 200 on Agency.
- Phones are not on offer yet, so pair it with another tool for calling lists.
Best for: agencies that know the name and domain and want cheap, verified emails at volume.
Pricing: Basic $19, Premium $39, Advanced $89 and Hypergrowth $499 a month. Yearly Basic is $190 (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).
4. Hunter: best for domain lookups with an app and extension
Hunter is the best-known email finder, built around a domain. One credit is one email found, and nothing is charged if nothing is found (Hunter help, September 2026). Unlimited team members share one credit pool on every all-in-one plan.
The free plan gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, Growth is $149 for 10,000 and Scale is $299 for 25,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). At volume the route is Data Platform, which sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).
Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second (Hunter API docs, September 2026). Bulk Email Finder takes up to 50,000 rows per file (Hunter help, September 2026). The remote MCP server at https://mcp.hunter.io/mcp is included in every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Unlimited team members on one credit pool.
- 15 requests a second on the core endpoints.
- MCP server included on every plan at no extra cost.
- Browser extension for reps who do not use the API.
Cons
- The top all-in-one plan stops at 25,000 credits a month, so volume means Data Platform or Enterprise.
- Domain-first. To build a list by title or seniority, you page through domains.
- Monthly credits do not carry over. The 1M price is a one-off purchase, not a monthly bill.
Best for: agencies that find emails by domain and want an app and extension beside the API.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles on client lists
FullEnrich queries 25+ sources per contact and charges for what it finds. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not found costs 0 (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). It states about an 80% work-email find rate, a vendor claim we did not test (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits. The page opens on $55 for 1,000 credits. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month ($0.035 a credit), and above that you contact sales. API, MCP, search and bulk CSV are on every plan, and users are unlimited on every plan.
The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). Unused credits roll over 3 months on monthly plans and 12 months on annual plans (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
Pros
- Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call covers several vendors.
- No charge for not found or landline results.
- Unlimited users, with API and MCP on every plan.
- Credits roll over for 3 or 12 months.
Cons
- $0.035 a credit even on the top monthly tier.
- No public 1M price.
- The API stops at 60 calls a minute.
- Mobiles cost 10 credits, so phone-heavy client lists get costly.
Best for: agencies that want waterfall emails and mobiles at modest volume, through an API or an agent.
Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits. Enterprise is custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
6. Prospeo: best for small teams that want an extension
Prospeo sells an email and mobile finder per user, on credits. One verified email costs 1 credit and one mobile costs 10. A lookup that returns nothing costs nothing, and re-enriching the same record within 90 days is free (Prospeo help, September 2026).
Free has 100 credits a month. Paid plans are priced per user: Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits, Growth is $99 for 5,000 and Pro is $249 for 15,000 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Plan credits from every seat go into one shared team pool. Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle.
The Enrich API allows 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth and 30 on Pro. Daily caps run from 2,000 on Starter to 500,000 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server at https://mcp.prospeo.io exposes 8 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Chrome extension and CRM sync for reps who prospect in a browser.
- A miss costs no credit, and repeat enrichment is free for 90 days.
- Seat credits pool across the team.
Cons
- Per-user pricing, so every added account manager adds a seat.
- No single tier reaches 1M. The cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats plus a $3,500 add-on.
- Daily caps of 2,000 on Starter and 5,000 on Growth.
- Credits expire each cycle.
Best for: small agency teams that want an extension, CRM sync and pay-as-you-go emails.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
7. Apollo: best for reps who need a full sales workspace

Apollo is a sales workspace with an email finder inside it. It has a lead database, sequences, a dialer and CRM sync. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8 (Apollo API pricing, September 2026).
Pricing is per seat. Billed monthly, Free has 75 credits and Basic is $65 a seat for 2,500. Professional is $99 for 4,000 and Organization is $149 for 6,000, with a 3-seat minimum (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Credits are pooled across the team, expire each cycle and do not roll over.
Every plan includes API access. Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans, and search allows 200 a minute and 50,000 a day (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). The official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp takes OAuth or an API key on any plan (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Sequences, dialer and CRM sync beside the finder, so one tool runs outreach too.
- API and MCP on every plan, including Free.
Cons
- Credits scale with seats, so volume across clients gets expensive. 1M lookups needs about 250 Professional seats.
- Credits do not roll over, including purchased add-ons.
- The price of an extra credit is not public.
Best for: agencies that want one workspace for finding, sequencing and calling, and pay per rep.
Pricing: Free. Basic $65, Professional $99, Organization $149 per seat a month (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

Prospeo's path is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500, or $11,223 once billed yearly. On list price, LeadOcean Agency is $497 a month flat. Icypeas is $3,992 a month, Anymail Finder is $4,990 once and Hunter is $6,900 once. Prospeo's cheapest public path is $14,456 a month. FullEnrich publishes no 1M price (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).

Can I use one account for several clients?
It depends on the vendor's terms. LeadOcean's Agency plan states use for your own and your clients' work. Check the terms of any other tool before you run client lists through it. Reselling the data as a product needs LeadOcean Platform.
