An email finder turns a name and a company into a working business email address. A SaaS company needs one when sales or growth outgrows a hand-built list. Typical jobs are outbound to new accounts, enrichment of free signups, or a feature that finds contacts for your own customers. The choice comes down to four things. How many lookups a month, how the bill grows, whether code or an agent can call it, and what each extra seat costs.
This page ranks seven finders for that buyer, with list prices checked in September 2026. Six have their own comparison page: Icypeas, Anymail Finder, Hunter, FullEnrich, Apollo and Prospeo. "1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Where no plan sells 1M, the cell shows the cheapest public path or says so.
What we evaluated
- Volume: how many lookups a month a plan allows, and whether a top tier exists at 100,000 or at 1M.
- Price model: flat, credits or seats, and the list price of 1M work-email lookups a month.
- API and MCP: which plan opens the API, the default speed, and whether an agent can call the tool.
- Seats: what the second and the tenth teammate cost, and whether credits pool across the team.
- Limits that bite: credit expiry, rate caps, and what a miss costs.
We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026, and LeadOcean's in October 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test, so we quote none of our own. A number a vendor publishes is a vendor claim.
1. LeadOcean: best for SaaS teams that pull data by API or agent
LeadOcean is a people and company database behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. You search with 50 people filters, then take the email from the same record.
The free plan is 1,000 records for life, with no card and every feature. Solo is $97 a month for one person. Agency is $497 a month for teams and runs 200 requests a second with 5 API keys. Paid plans have no credits. They have a fair-use pace, and reaching it slows the key until the window resets. Nothing stops, and there is no overage invoice.
For a SaaS company the useful part is the shape of the bill. Ten reps and a signup-enrichment job share the same plan and the same keys, so seats do not multiply cost. If you build a feature that serves your own customers, Platform is $1,997 a month with an embed and resell licence and 10,000 requests a second.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'Work emails are also at GET /v2/people/email/work. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, October 2026). Counts are free, so you can size a list before you spend a record.
Pros
- A free plan that never expires: 1,000 records for life, with every feature.
- No per-seat or per-credit meter on paid plans. Agency is $497 a month.
- Search by 50 people filters, then take emails and phones from the same database.
- REST and MCP on every plan, including Free. A miss on
POST /v1/people/enrichis a free 404.
Cons
- No lookup by name plus domain. Search by company domain first, then enrich by
person_id. - The v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, including a call that finds nothing.
- No refund for bounced emails. Read
email_statusbefore you send. - No Chrome extension, sequencer, dialer or CRM. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download, and bulk CSV export is not on Free.
Best for: SaaS engineers, RevOps teams and agents that need search plus emails on a flat monthly price.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. Icypeas: best for the lowest public credit price at volume
Icypeas charges 1 credit per email found, and a search that finds nothing costs nothing. Verification is 0.1 credit (Icypeas docs, September 2026). It is the cheapest credit-based finder here at 1M.
Basic is $19 a month for 1,000 credits and Hypergrowth is $499 for 100,000. Its credit selector lists a 1,000,000-credit tier at $3,992 a month, or $39,920 for 12M credits billed yearly (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). The selector is hidden in the text view of the page, so check it live before you budget. There is no free plan, only 50 credits on signup.
Email search allows 10 calls a second, and bulk search takes up to 5,000 rows per call at 1 call a second (Icypeas docs, September 2026). The hosted MCP server at https://mcp.icypeas.com/mcp lists 21 tools and signs in with your API key (Icypeas MCP guide, September 2026).
Pros
- The lowest public 1M price among the credit tools here, with no charge for misses.
- API, MCP and catch-all verification on every plan.
- Credits roll over with no expiry, so a slow quarter does not waste them.
- A separate verifier at 0.1 credit for lists you bring.
Cons
- No free plan. The 50 signup credits run out once.
- Phone Finder is listed as coming soon, so there are no mobiles.
- Bulk search runs at 1 call a second, and finding people costs 0.02 credits per result.
Best for: SaaS teams that know the name and domain and want cheap emails at volume that do not expire.
Pricing: Basic $19, Premium $39, Advanced $89 and Hypergrowth $499 a month. Yearly Basic is $190 (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).
3. Anymail Finder: best for verified emails with no seat fee
Anymail Finder charges 1 credit only when it finds a verified email. A decision-maker search costs 2 credits, and a company search costs 1 for up to 20 emails. A search that finds no verified email is free, and a repeat within 30 days is free (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
Monthly plans run from $29 for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000 credits. Past that you buy one-time packs. The 1,000,000-credit pack is $4,990, valid 12 months. Unlimited team members share one credit pool, so a growing SaaS team adds no seat fee. Subscription credits roll over while the plan is active.
The API docs state no rate limits and no daily call caps (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026). A verified email that bounces can be reported for a credit back after review. The MCP server has five actions and signs in without a key (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Pay only for emails it verifies, with a bounce credit after review.
- No rate limits stated in the API docs.
- The 1M-credit pack is the second-cheapest 1M price here.
- No per-seat price, and subscription credits roll over.
Cons
- No database search. You must bring the people or companies to look up.
- The free credits need a verified card.
- The largest monthly plan is 100,000 credits for $799.
Best for: SaaS teams with a known list of names and domains that want live-verified emails and unlimited users.
Pricing: $29 to $799 a month, or one-time packs up to $4,990 for 1,000,000 credits (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
4. Hunter: best for a shared team pool and a Data Platform for bulk
Hunter is built around a domain. One credit is one email found, and nothing is charged if nothing is found (Hunter help, September 2026). Unlimited team members share one credit pool, so a new hire adds no seat fee.
The free plan gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, Growth is $149 for 10,000 and Scale is $299 ($209 billed yearly) for 25,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). Monthly credits do not carry over. At volume the route is Data Platform, which sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).
Core endpoints allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute (Hunter API docs, September 2026). The remote MCP server at https://mcp.hunter.io/mcp takes your Hunter API key and is included in every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- A free plan that renews every month.
- Unlimited team members on one credit pool.
- 15 requests a second on the core endpoints.
- MCP server included on every plan, at no extra cost.
Cons
- The top all-in-one plan stops at 25,000 credits a month, so volume means Data Platform or Enterprise.
- Domain-first. To build a list by title or seniority, you page through domains.
- Monthly credits expire at the end of the month.
Best for: SaaS teams that find emails by domain and want a free tier plus a pool every teammate shares.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall lookups across many sources
FullEnrich runs a lookup across 25+ data sources and returns the first verified result, per its pricing page. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. A lookup that finds nothing costs 0 credits (FullEnrich credit docs, September 2026). It states an average find rate of about 80% on work emails, which is a vendor claim we did not test.
Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, or $26 a month billed yearly for 6,000 credits a year. The top public monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month. Above that, the page says contact sales, so there is no public 1M price (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). API, MCP, search and bulk CSV are on every plan, and users are unlimited.
The API allows 60 calls a minute across Enrich, Reverse Email and Search, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich volume docs, September 2026). Over the limit it returns HTTP 429. Unused credits roll over 3 months on monthly plans and 12 months on annual plans.
Pros
- A waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call tries many providers.
- API, MCP, search and bulk CSV on every plan, with unlimited users.
- A miss costs 0 credits.
- Credits roll over, for 3 months on monthly plans.
Cons
- Credits cost the most per email in this group: $0.035 on the top monthly tier.
- 60 calls a minute is slow for a pipeline, though bulk requests take 100 contacts.
- No public 1M price. Above 100,000 credits a month you talk to sales.
Best for: SaaS teams that want a waterfall on each lookup and accept a higher price per email.
Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, up to $3,500 a month for 100,000 (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
6. Apollo: best for sales teams that want an app and a per-seat price

Apollo prices per seat, and credits are pooled across the team. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8. Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over (Apollo API pricing, September 2026).
Free gives 75 credits a month. Basic is $65 per seat a month with 2,500 credits ($49 billed yearly). Professional is $99 with 4,000. Organization is $149 with 6,000, with a minimum of 3 seats (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Because credits come per seat, volume means more seats. That is why its 1M cost is the highest here.
Every plan includes API access. Enrichment endpoints reach 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans, while Free is held to 50 a minute and 600 a day (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp works on any plan, Free included, and spends the same credits (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- A free tier with API and MCP access.
- Credits are pooled across the team, so one heavy user can draw on the whole pool.
- Enrichment runs at 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans.
Cons
- Per-seat pricing. A team of ten on Professional is $990 a month before you buy any more credits.
- Credits expire each cycle and do not roll over.
- A phone number costs 8 credits.
- At 1M lookups the seat math gives about $24,750 a month, the highest on this page.
Best for: SaaS sales teams whose reps work in an app and want a free tier before they pay.
Pricing: Free. Basic $65, Professional $99, Organization $149 per seat a month, or less billed yearly (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
7. Prospeo: best for reps who pay per user
Prospeo sells an email and mobile finder per user, on credits. One verified email costs 1 credit and one mobile costs 10. A lookup that returns nothing costs nothing, and re-enriching the same record within 90 days is free (Prospeo help, September 2026).
Free has 100 credits a month. Paid plans are priced per user: Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits, Growth is $99 for 5,000 and Pro is $249 for 15,000 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Billed yearly, Starter is $37 a month. Plan credits pool across seats, and unused credits expire at the end of each cycle.
The Enrich API allows 5 requests a second on Starter and 30 on Pro. Daily caps run from 2,000 on Starter to 500,000 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server at https://mcp.prospeo.io exposes 8 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- A free plan that renews every month.
- A miss costs no credit, and repeat enrichment is free for 90 days.
- MCP signs in with OAuth or a key.
Cons
- Per-user pricing, so a team adds seats and credits together.
- Daily caps of 2,000 on Starter and 5,000 on Growth.
- No single tier reaches 1M. The cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats plus a $3,500 add-on.
Best for: SaaS sales teams that pay per rep and want a monthly free tier.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Hunter's and Anymail Finder's figures are one-off purchases valid 12 months, not monthly bills. Apollo's is 250 Professional seats at $99, and we could not confirm that Apollo sells that many seats self-serve. LeadOcean's is the Agency plan at its fair-use pace, so 1M a month sits inside ordinary use.

Verdict
LeadOcean wins for SaaS companies that pull data by API or agent. It searches 693M people, returns the email from the same record, and keeps a free plan that never expires. Seats and teammates do not change the bill. Icypeas wins on the lowest credit price at volume, Anymail Finder on verified emails with unlimited users, Hunter on a shared pool and FullEnrich on waterfall lookups. Apollo and Prospeo suit reps who work in an app and accept per-seat pricing. If you need a Chrome extension or a sequencer, pick one of those and keep LeadOcean for the data pull. Otherwise start on the free plan.
