An email scraper pulls business email addresses from a company domain, a LinkedIn profile or a database, so you do not type them in by hand. Anyone who builds prospect lists needs one, and the price gap at volume is huge.
Most reviews rank by feature list. We ranked by what a million lookups cost at list price, and by whether you can call the tool from code or an agent. Teams leave their current scraper for sourced reasons. Hunter and Prospeo sell credits that expire. Snov.io caps its API at 60 requests a minute. Wiza prices its API on a call. ContactOut allows one user per company. Anymail Finder is the exception on price.
We did not run a find-rate test for this page. The numbers below are list prices and documented limits, each with its source and the month we checked. Test any tool on your own list before you commit.

What we evaluated
- List price and the 1M figure. Monthly list price first, billed-yearly after it. Where a tool publishes no price at 1M, we say so and do not multiply a rate out.
- API access. Whether you can call it from code on a self-serve plan, and whether the price is public.
- MCP server. Whether Claude or Cursor can use it, and how many tools it exposes.
- Rate limit. Documented requests per second or minute, because a million lookups is a throughput question as well as a price question.
- Credit rules. Whether credits expire, whether a miss is free, and whether seats or accounts are capped.
1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume pulls
LeadOcean is not a page scraper. It is a stored database of 693M people and 67M companies, with 366M people carrying an email and 166M a phone number. You query it instead of crawling pages. If you need to extract addresses from an arbitrary website, pick another tool on this list.
What you get is predictable cost and speed. Agency is $497 a month with no credits, 200 requests a second per account and a fair-use pace instead of a meter. GET /v1/companies/{domain}/people lists people at a domain, GET /v2/people/email/work finds a work email, and POST /v1/exports writes up to 50,000 rows a file. Counts are free, and the hosted MCP server has 13 tools.
Email status comes back on every record, with 13 values from verified to spam_trap. Bulk CSV export is not on Free. There is no Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM.
Pros
- Flat $497 a month on Agency at any volume, with no per-record price.
- Free plan: 1,000 records for life, no card, the whole database and every feature.
- 13 MCP tools with OAuth sign-in, so no key gets pasted into a chat.
- Counting a list is free, so you size it before you spend a record.
Cons
- No live page scraping and no browser extension.
- Free runs at 5 requests a second and has no bulk CSV export.
- One search pages to 10,000 rows, so large pulls go through exports.
- The v2 contact endpoints cost one record even when they find nothing.
Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that pull people at volume. Pricing: Free $0, Solo $97, Agency $497, Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. Hunter: best for emails by company domain
Hunter is the default answer when the input is a domain. Domain Search returns the emails it holds for a company, one credit per email found, and Email Finder takes a name plus a domain. Nothing is charged when nothing is found (Hunter help center, September 2026).
Hunter publishes its volume price, which most tools here do not. The Data Platform sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, paid once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026). The all-in-one plans are cheaper per seat and dearer per record.
The API is rate-limited per endpoint, not per plan: 15 requests a second on Domain Search and Email Finder (Hunter API docs, September 2026). Note that a rate-limited call returns 403, and 429 means your credits ran out. The remote MCP server is included on every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Public price at 1M: $6,900 on the Data Platform.
- Free plan with 50 credits a month.
- Repeat lookups in the same billing period are not charged again.
- Remote MCP server at no extra cost.
Cons
- Monthly-plan credits reset each month and do not carry over.
- 403 means rate limit and 429 means out of credits, which trips up retry logic.
- Credit packs are for Starter, Growth and Scale only and expire after 3 months.
Best for: teams that start from a list of company domains. Pricing: Starter $49 a month ($34 billed yearly), Growth $149 ($104), Scale $299 ($209) (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
3. Anymail Finder: best for the lowest public price at volume
Anymail Finder has the cheapest public price at a million lookups on this list. The 1,000,000-credit pack costs $4,990 in USD, paid once and valid 12 months (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). Searches that find no verified email are free.
The page shows Canadian dollars to visitors in Canada, so add ?currency=usd to see the USD view. Subscription credits roll over with no cap while the plan is active. The API docs state there are no rate limits and no daily call caps, and bulk jobs take up to 100,000 rows (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026).
The MCP server has five actions: find a person's email, find a decision maker, find company emails, verify, and check your account. It does not cover bulk files (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- $4,990 for 1M credits is the lowest public price here.
- No stated API rate limit.
- Unlimited team members share one credit pool.
- A verified email that bounces can be reported for a credit back after review.
Cons
- It finds emails only, with no phone or company database to search.
- Currency follows visitor location.
- The MCP server has no bulk tools.
Best for: teams that buy a large block of email lookups once. Pricing: from $29 a month for 400 credits, up to $799 for 100,000 (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
4. Prospeo: best for small teams that live in LinkedIn
Prospeo sells credits per seat. The per-credit price falls on bigger plans: $0.0245 on Starter, $0.0198 on Growth and $0.0166 on Pro (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Seats add to one shared team pool.
No single tier reaches 1M. The cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats plus the 350,000-credit add-on, about $14,456 a month, or $11,223 once if billed yearly with the 500,000-credit yearly add-on. Credits do not roll over, and add-ons are a recurring subscription with no one-time top-up.
The API is documented per plan: on Pro, Enrich runs at 30 requests a second (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The hosted MCP server has 8 tools (Prospeo MCP, September 2026). Whether Free includes API access is disputed between the pricing table and the help center.
Pros
- Clear per-plan rate limits, up to 30 requests a second on Pro.
- 8-tool MCP server with OAuth or an API key.
- Free plan with 100 credits a month.
Cons
- No plan reaches 1M, so volume means stacking seats and add-ons.
- Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle.
- Free-plan API access is contradictory in its own documentation.
Best for: teams of a few reps who need a modest monthly volume. Pricing: Starter $49 a month ($37 billed yearly), Growth $99 ($74), Pro $249 ($187), per user (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
5. Snov.io: best for finding and sending in one app
Snov.io is an outreach suite with a finder inside it. Starter is $39 a month, or $29.25 billed yearly, and includes 1,000 credits, unlimited team seats, an Email Finder extension and a LinkedIn Prospect Finder extension (Snov.io pricing, October 2026). It also sends campaigns, warms mailboxes and tracks deals.
That breadth is the trade-off for scraping at volume. The API is limited to 60 requests a minute, prospect search returns up to 20 profiles a page, and free accounts have no API access (Snov.io API docs, September 2026). Monthly credits expire after 30 days. Volumes from 200,000 credits sit on Custom Ultra, by quote, so there is no public price at 1M (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).
The MCP server uses OAuth and draws on your plan credits (Snov.io MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Finder, verifier, sender and CRM in one login.
- Browser extensions for email and LinkedIn prospect finding.
- Unlimited team seats.
Cons
- 60 requests a minute caps API throughput.
- Monthly credits expire after 30 days.
- No public price at 1M.
- Phones run on a separate token currency.
Best for: small sales teams that want one tool from lead to send. Pricing: Starter $39 a month ($29.25 billed yearly) (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).
6. Wiza: best for reps scraping LinkedIn lists
Wiza turns a LinkedIn Sales Navigator search or a CSV into verified emails. That is why reps use it. Billed yearly, Email is $83 a month per user ($990 a year) and Email + Phone is $166 ($1,990 a year). Both include unlimited email reveals and 2,500 exports a month. Teams of 3 or more and API access sit on the custom Team plan (Wiza pricing, October 2026).
The API is where it narrows. The API page says to book a call for pricing (Wiza API, September 2026). The docs set a concurrency of 5 on the Starter API (Wiza usage limits, September 2026). The MCP server exposes 5 tools and needs API access and credits (Wiza MCP guide, September 2026). There is no public price at 1M.
Pros
- Built for Sales Navigator, Recruiter and CSV lists.
- Unlimited email reveals on the yearly paid plans.
- Free plan with 20 valid emails.
Cons
- Priced per user, so teams of 3 or more get custom pricing.
- API price is not published.
- Concurrency of 5 on the Starter API.
Best for: individual reps who prospect from LinkedIn. Pricing: Email $83 and Email + Phone $166 a month per user, billed yearly. Team is custom (Wiza pricing, October 2026).
7. ContactOut: best for one rep working from profiles

ContactOut sells "unlimited" emails. The terms cap paid plans at 2,000 email credits and 1,000 phone credits per account per month under fair use (ContactOut terms, September 2026). Every self-serve plan lists a limit of one user per company. That makes volume a sales conversation.
The API has no public price. Team and API show Contact Us, and keys come from booking a meeting (ContactOut API, September 2026). Documented rate limits are 60 requests a minute on People Search and 1,000 a minute on other APIs. The MCP page shows 15 tools (ContactOut MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- Email + Phone plan at $99 a month includes phones.
- 15-tool MCP server.
- Free plan with 5 emails and 5 phones a day.
Cons
- One user per company on self-serve plans.
- Fair-use cap of 2,000 emails a month per account.
- API price and terms are not public.
Best for: one recruiter or rep who needs contacts from profiles. Pricing: Email $49 a month ($39 billed yearly), Email + Phone $99 ($79) (ContactOut pricing, September 2026).

How to choose
- You call it from code or an agent at volume: LeadOcean. A flat $497 a month and 200 requests a second beats a credit meter.
- You start from company domains: Hunter, or Anymail Finder if price matters more.
- You buy a block of lookups once a year: Anymail Finder at $4,990 for 1M.
- You are a small team on LinkedIn: Wiza or Prospeo, and expect per-seat costs.
- You want finding and sending in one app: Snov.io.
- You are one recruiter: ContactOut.
Verdict
LeadOcean wins when the buyer is a developer, a RevOps team or an agent. It is the only tool here with a flat monthly price at 1M, and it runs at 200 requests a second. Anymail Finder wins on the cheapest one-time block of credits, Hunter on domain search, Snov.io for an all-in-one outreach tool, and Wiza for a rep working from Sales Navigator. If you need to scrape arbitrary web pages, none of these is a crawler. Use a crawler and verify the results.
