Explorium Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What 1M Records Cost

Explorium sells prepaid credit packs, not a subscription. Here is every pack, what a credit buys, and what 10k, 1M and 25M records cost at list price.

Explorium has no subscription. You buy prepaid credit packs, and every call spends credits. The cheapest way in is the free trial: 100 credits, valid 90 days. The cheapest paid pack is Lite at $29.99 for 500 credits (Explorium pricing, September 2026).

The pricing page does not say which pack is most popular. Explorium lists no 1M tier. One million email lookups need 2M credits, which is four Scale packs: $29,999.96 at list.

Plans

Explorium lists a free trial, four credit packs and an Enterprise tier. Every pack includes the full suite of account and prospect enrichments and events (Explorium pricing, September 2026). Packs are one-off purchases, so there is no monthly price and no billed-yearly price.

Source: Explorium pricing, checked September 2026. All rows share a default limit of 200 queries a minute per API key (Explorium rate limits, September 2026). Packages do not renew automatically, per the pricing page FAQ.

You buy packs in the admin console, and a purchase lands in your balance straight away (Explorium credit docs, September 2026). The pricing page lists no Enterprise price. Enterprise lists volume discounts.

What a credit buys

One credit buys one returned record from a search. A contact lookup costs 2 to 5 credits, so the lookup type sets your bill more than the pack you pick.

Contact sources checked September 2026, intent and filter rows October 2026. The default contact call asks for email and phone, so it costs 5 credits. Ask for email only and it costs 2. That one parameter cuts the cost of a lookup by 60%.

Per-call credit reporting is opt-in. Send the header credit-usage: true and the response shows the credits that call spent. It costs nothing extra (Explorium docs, October 2026).

Hidden costs

The pack price is the small part. Expiry, rate limits and per-row counting decide what you actually pay.

  • Credits expire. Paid credits last 12 months and do not roll over. Packs are non-refundable (Explorium pricing, September 2026).
  • The service stops at zero. When you finish your credits, the service stops until you buy more (Explorium pricing FAQ, September 2026).
  • Auto-refill is unclear. The pricing FAQ says auto-pay "will be available shortly". The docs describe Auto-Refill, which buys a pack when your balance hits a threshold and needs a card on file (Explorium docs, October 2026). Refilled credits expire in 12 months too.
  • Phone is the expensive default. Email and phone together is 5 credits. Forgetting to request email only is a 2.5x overspend.
  • Rate limit counts rows. The default is 200 queries a minute. A bulk call with 50 rows uses 50 queries (Explorium rate limits, September 2026). More queries a minute is an Enterprise add-on.
  • Small batches. Sync contact calls take up to 50 IDs. Async jobs take up to 10,000 records (Explorium async docs, September 2026).
  • Misses are unclear. The contact docs return a MISS status when nothing matches. They do not say whether a miss costs credits (Explorium contact docs, September 2026).
  • Intent costs double. The Bombora intent filter makes every returned result 2 credits instead of 1.
  • No volume tier. The page lists packs by price and no 1M tier. The FAQ says you add to your package from the admin page, so large volumes mean buying several packs (Explorium pricing FAQ, October 2026).

Worked examples

Each example assumes every lookup matches, one record per person, no retries. Costs use the cheapest mix of published packs, so they are list price before any Enterprise discount. Credits are records times the credit cost from the table above.

10k records

  • Fetch only: 10,000 x 1 = 10,000 credits. Two Starter packs: $299.98.
  • Email lookups: 10,000 x 2 = 20,000 credits. Four Starter packs: $599.96.
  • Email and phone: 10,000 x 5 = 50,000 credits. One Growth pack and four Starter packs: $1,349.95.
  • Time at 200 queries a minute: 50 minutes.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 a month (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026). Free covers the first 1,000 records, one-off.

1M records

  • Fetch only: 1,000,000 credits. Two Scale packs: $14,999.98.
  • Email lookups: 2,000,000 credits. Four Scale packs: $29,999.96, about $30,000.
  • Email and phone: 5,000,000 credits. Ten Scale packs: $74,999.90.
  • Time at 200 queries a minute: 5,000 minutes, about 3.5 days. As async jobs of 10,000 records, that is 100 jobs.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. Each person returned counts as a record, and reveal_email costs nothing extra.

25M records

  • Fetch only: 25,000,000 credits. Fifty Scale packs: $374,999.50.
  • Email lookups: 50,000,000 credits. One hundred Scale packs: $749,999.00.
  • Email and phone: 125,000,000 credits. Two hundred and fifty Scale packs: $1,874,997.50.
  • Time at 200 queries a minute: 125,000 minutes, about 87 days. Enterprise can add queries per minute.
  • No public Enterprise price.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. A 25M month is a conversation with support first. Past the fair-usage line a large month is paced down, not cut off.

Explorium packs last 12 months, so a 1M purchase is not a monthly bill. LeadOcean's $499 is monthly and covers a 1M month every month. Run the arithmetic on your own volume before you buy.

Is it worth it

Explorium is worth it when you need what it sells beyond contact data: events, intent and company enrichments. A flat contact database does not have those. If you only pull people and emails, the credit model costs more than it returns.

  • Solo founder or small team: The free trial's 100 credits cover 50 email lookups. A Starter pack at $149.99 covers 2,500. That is fine for a one-off list and a poor fit for a monthly habit, because unused credits die at 12 months.
  • Signal-driven sales team: Explorium fits. Events cost 1 credit and Bombora intent costs 2 per result. Budget those credits separately from contact lookups.
  • RevOps or data engineer feeding a pipeline: Plan around 200 queries a minute and the 10,000-record async cap. Cost per lookup is only part of the bill. A 1M list takes days.
  • Agent builder: The MCP server runs on the same credits. Statistics tools are free, so size an audience before you fetch (Explorium MCP docs, September 2026).

Alternatives with a different price model

Three tools that do not bill like Explorium. For a side-by-side, see Explorium alternatives and the LeadOcean vs Explorium page.

LeadOcean: flat monthly fee

Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026). There are no credits and no per-record price, and the same API and MCP server run on both plans.

BlitzAPI: flat fee, work emails

Core is $399 a month, Plus is $499 and Full is $599. Plus adds verified work emails and Full adds US phone numbers (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). The pricing page still lists those prices on 2 October 2026. Standard accounts run at 5 requests per second, and the 50-a-second offer closed on 30 September (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026). Its MCP server covers documentation, not records.

Prospeo: monthly credits per seat

Pro is $249 a month per user for 15,000 credits, or $187 a month billed yearly ($2,241 a year) for 180,000 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). A verified email is 1 credit and a mobile is 10 (Prospeo help, September 2026). At 1M verified emails the cheapest public path is $14,456 a month, or $11,223 once on yearly billing.
