Ocean.io Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What 1M Records Cost

Ocean.io bills one credit pool across search, enrichment, email and phone. Here is what each call costs and what 1M and 25M records take.

We could not read an Ocean.io plan price. Ocean.io's pricing page sits behind a bot check, and no docs page lists a plan price or a price per credit (Ocean.io pricing, September 2026). What is public is the credit cost of every call. A work email is 1 credit, so 1M emails is 1,000,000 credits.

That makes the cheapest plan and the plan most teams buy unreadable from the outside. Open the pricing page in a normal browser before you buy. This page gives you the part you can verify: credits per action, the limits, and the credit math at 10k, 1M and 25M records.

There is no public 1M price. Dollars equal credits times your plan's price per credit, and Ocean.io does not publish that rate.

Plans

Ocean.io sells credit-based plans, and the docs describe one credit pool for search, enrich, lookup and reveal (Ocean.io docs, September 2026). The docs also say an API token inherits the permissions of your subscription plan.

Third-party plan figures circulate. A FullEnrich article lists a Starter and a Professional plan. FullEnrich is a competing data vendor, and its credit costs (3 credits per email) are out of date against the docs (1). We do not use its prices.

What a credit buys

Every action draws from the same pool (Ocean.io docs, September 2026).

ActionCredit cost
Search companies or people0.2 per result
Enrich a company or a person0.1
Batch enrich0.1
Lookup0.05
Autocomplete0.1 per call
Reveal email1 per email found
Reveal phone10 per phone found
Get Data Fields, Get Credit Balance, WarmupFree

An email not found is not charged. Guessed and catch-all results are charged. A phone is ten times the cost of an email.

Hidden costs

The credit table looks cheap per call. The bill depends on what your code does next.

  • Search is billed per result. 0.2 credits for every person returned, whether or not you reveal anything. One million results is 200,000 credits.
  • Guessed emails cost the same as verified ones. Reveal charges 1 credit for guessed and catch-all results as well (Ocean.io docs, September 2026). Read the status before you send.
  • Phones are 10 credits. A phone for every record multiplies the bill by ten against emails alone.
  • MCP uses the same credits. The MCP server takes the token in the URL, and calls draw credits at the REST rate. Its CSV exports of up to 10,000 records cost 0.2 credits each (Ocean.io MCP docs, September 2026).
  • Self-serve limits cap volume. 60 requests a minute and 1,000 a day. Higher limits sit in an Enterprise agreement, so a large job waits on a contract.
  • Reveals are asynchronous. Reveal Emails takes up to 500 person IDs and posts results to a webhook. You host a public endpoint to receive them.
  • No public price per credit. No docs page lists one, so you learn the real rate after a sales call or sign-up.

Worked examples

The examples count credits, not dollars, because no price per credit is public. Each assumes you search a person, then reveal their email. Search is 0.2 credits and a found email is 1.

10k emails a month

  • Reveals: 10,000 x 1 = 10,000 credits.
  • Search: 10,000 x 0.2 = 2,000 credits.
  • Total: 12,000 credits. Reveal calls: 10,000 / 500 = 20.
  • Price: depends on your plan's rate. LeadOcean Pro is $499 flat.

1M emails a month

  • Reveals: 1,000,000 x 1 = 1,000,000 credits.
  • Search: 1,000,000 x 0.2 = 200,000 credits.
  • Total: up to 1,200,000 credits.
  • Reveal calls: 1,000,000 / 500 = 2,000. At 1,000 requests a day that is about two days, before search calls.
  • Price: no public 1M price. LeadOcean Pro is $499 flat.

25M emails a month

  • Reveals: 25,000,000 credits. Search: 5,000,000 credits.
  • Total: up to 30,000,000 credits.
  • Reveal calls: 50,000. At 1,000 a day on self-serve that is 50 days, so this volume needs Enterprise limits.
  • Price: no public 25M price. LeadOcean Pro is $499 flat, with a fair-usage line.

Ocean.io's own workflow example assumes about a 79% email find rate, which brings each person searched to about 0.99 credits instead of 1.2 (Ocean.io docs, September 2026). Your find rate sets the real number.

Is it worth it

Ocean.io is worth it when you start from your best customers and want more like them. Lookalike search is the product. Judge the price on that step, not on bulk contact data.

  • Account-based marketers: Pay for lookalike search. Search is 0.2 credits a company, so 500 matches cost 100 credits.
  • Agencies and RevOps pulling contacts in bulk: Credits scale with every email and phone. At 100,000 emails or more, ask for the price per credit before you plan the month.
  • Engineers and agent builders: Check the self-serve ceiling of 1,000 requests a day first. The reveal webhook and URL token are extra work.
  • Small teams testing: Ask what the cheapest plan includes and whether API access is on it. We could not confirm either.

For the head-to-head, see the Ocean.io alternative page and Ocean.io alternatives.

Alternatives with a different price model

These three price by seat, by record or by flat fee.

Apollo: pay per seat. Basic is $65 a month per seat, or $49 billed yearly, with 2,500 credits a month. Professional is $99 per seat, or $79 billed yearly, with 4,000 (Apollo pricing, September 2026). An email is 1 credit. On list price, 1M emails takes 250 Professional seats, which is $24,750 a month, or $19,600 a month on yearly Basic. See Apollo pricing.

People Data Labs: pay per record retrieved. Free is up to 100 credits a month with contact data obscured. Pro is $98 a month for 350 credits, or $78 a month billed yearly (PDL pricing, September 2026). No public 1M price: above about 100,000 profiles PDL quotes Enterprise. See People Data Labs pricing.

LeadOcean: flat fee. Free is 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 100 requests per second per key and 5 API keys. There are no credits and no overage invoice. It covers 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP, and the app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download. It has no lookalike search, sequencer, dialer or CRM. See pricing.

FAQ

How much does Ocean.io cost per month?

We could not read it. The pricing page blocks automated reads and no docs page lists a plan price (Ocean.io pricing, September 2026). Check the page in a browser or ask sales.

How much is one Ocean.io credit?

Ocean.io publishes no price per credit that we could read. The docs give credits per call: search 0.2, enrich 0.1, lookup 0.05, email 1, phone 10 (Ocean.io docs, September 2026).

Does Ocean.io charge for emails it cannot find?

No. An email or phone not found is not charged. Guessed and catch-all results are charged at the full 1 credit (Ocean.io docs, September 2026).

Does Ocean.io have an API?

Yes, and an MCP server with 8 tools. A token inherits the permissions of your plan, and which plan first includes API access is not readable (Ocean.io docs, September 2026). Self-serve keys get 60 requests a minute and 1,000 a day.

What does 1M records cost on Ocean.io?

There is no public 1M price. 1M emails found is 1,000,000 credits, plus up to 200,000 for search. Multiply by your plan's price per credit.

Is there a free Ocean.io plan?

We could not confirm one. The credits page marks some rows "Not available on this plan", so entry plans are limited. LeadOcean's Free plan is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card.
