Tomba Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What 1M Records Cost

Tomba sells credits on a slider, and the headline count is double the emails you get. Here is what 10k, 1M and 25M emails cost.

The cheapest paid plan is Basic at $49 a month for 2,500 emails found. The pricing page opens on Growth at $89 a month for 5,000 emails, and the price per email halves at Pro, $199 a month for 20,000 (Tomba pricing, September 2026).

Tomba has no public 1M price. The largest one-off pack is 900,000 emails for $6,432, and the largest monthly tier is 300,000 emails for $2,499.

Read the headline carefully. Tomba prints total credits, and half of them are verification credits that only the email verifier spends. A "10,000 credit" plan finds 5,000 emails. Tomba says a search that finds no valid email is free, so you pay for results, not attempts.

Plans

Tomba sells monthly plans, yearly plans and one-off packs through one slider. The prices below are USD list prices from the slider, monthly first and billed-yearly after it. Yearly billing is 25% off, which the page labels "3 months free". Yearly plans get a monthly allowance, not one annual pool (Tomba docs, September 2026).

Workspace members spend the owner's credits, and the owner can cap each member. The pricing page says Scale 300k is self-serve and month-to-month. The docs still describe Scale plans as on request.

Pay-as-you-go packs are one-off, valid 365 days, and used after your plan credits. The page applies a volume discount that grows with size.

What a credit buys

One search credit buys one email found, and a request is billed only when it succeeds and returns a result. Errors cost nothing (Tomba credits docs, September 2026).

Hidden costs

The slider is clear about price. It is less clear about what the price buys.

  • Credits are double the emails. Growth is $8.90 per 1,000 credits on the page. Per email found it is $17.80 per 1,000, or $0.0178 each. Only the verifier spends the other half.
  • Small plans cost twice as much per email. Basic is $0.0196 an email and Pro is $0.0100. Pro Plus is $0.0090.
  • Bigger is not always cheaper. Scale 300k is $0.0083 an email, above Scale 200k at $0.0081.
  • Plan credits do not roll over. Unused plan credits expire at the end of the window. Only pack credits last, for 365 days.
  • Phones cost 5 to 6 times more. A phone lookup is 5 credits. An email found with phone data is 6.
  • Rate limits cap small plans. Basic allows 500 finder requests a day. Pro allows 4,000.
  • Bulk is throttled. An email finder job takes 10,000 rows at most. You can create 15 jobs a day and run 2 at once, so 150,000 rows a day (Tomba bulk docs, September 2026).
  • Bulk bills on download. If your balance is below the job cost, the download fails.
  • Duplicates are free per user. Two workspace members sending the same request are each charged.
  • Auto-upgrade can raise the bill. If you turn it on, the plan moves up a tier when 10% of search credits remain.
  • Refunds are narrow. They cover the latest payment, within 72 hours, with under 10% or 1,000 credits used. A confirmed hard bounce returns one credit.
  • The pages disagree in places. The FAQ says yearly saves 30%, but the slider charges 25% off. Duplicate searches are free for the "same month", "30 days" or the usage window, depending on the page.

Worked examples

Each example assumes every lookup finds an email at 1 credit. Misses are free, so a lower find rate means fewer credits used.

10k emails a month

  • Credits needed: 10,000 search credits.
  • Growth is too small at 5,000. Pro is $199 a month, which is $0.0199 an email at this volume.
  • Billed yearly, Pro is $1,791, or $149.25 a month.
  • As phone lookups: 10,000 x 5 = 50,000 search credits, which needs Pro Plus at $449 a month.
  • Pace: about 333 requests a day, well inside Pro's 4,000.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. At this volume Tomba is cheaper for emails.

1M emails a month

  • Credits needed: 1,000,000 search credits. No public 1M price.
  • Largest monthly tier: Scale 300k at $2,499 for 300,000 emails.
  • Largest one-off pack: 900,000 emails for $6,432. That is still 100,000 short of 1M, and Tomba does not say whether packs stack.
  • The 1,000,000 credit pack at $4,446 buys 500,000 emails, not 1M.
  • Bulk time: 1,000,000 / 150,000 rows a day is about 7 days.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. Exports stop at 500,000 rows a day, so 1M rows takes two days.

25M emails a month

  • Credits needed: 25,000,000 search credits. No public 25M price.
  • Enterprise credits are by contract. The page lists 100,000 API calls a day, about 3M in 30 days, and says higher limits on bulk are personalized.
  • Bulk time: 25,000,000 / 150,000 rows a day is about 167 days.
  • LeadOcean Pro: $499 flat. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute past the fair-usage line rather than cut off. One email to support gets more headroom.

Is it worth it

Tomba is worth it when you need emails for a known list and your volume is under 50,000 a month. You pay per email found, and a miss is free.

  • Solo founder or one rep: The 25 free credits are a test, not a plan. Basic at $49 or Growth at $89 covers a small list.
  • SDR team of 5 to 20: Pro at $199 gives 20,000 emails, and no seat price is listed. Set per-member caps so one rep does not spend the pool.
  • RevOps or data engineer: Pro Plus at $449 removes the finder rate limits. The pricing page lists a REST API, SDKs and an MCP server for AI tools (Tomba pricing, October 2026). You still pay per email and look up people you already name.
  • High volume, 1M or more: There is no public price. Ask for a quote and ask about bulk limits, which cap you at 150,000 rows a day.

Alternatives with a different price model

These three charge by search credit, by valid email or by flat fee.

Hunter: search credits, bought once. Monthly plans run from Starter at $49 for 2,000 credits to Scale at $299 for 25,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). The Data Platform sells 1,000,000 search credits for $6,900, paid once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026). See Hunter alternatives.

Anymail Finder: pay per valid email. Plans run from $29 a month for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000. The 1M pack is $4,990 once (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). Unlimited seats share one pool. See Anymail Finder alternatives.

LeadOcean: flat fee. Free is 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 100 requests per second per key and 5 API keys. There are no credits and no overage invoice. It covers 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP, and the app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download. It has no sequencer, dialer or CRM. See pricing.
