BlitzAPI is a data API on flat monthly plans. LeadMagic is an enrichment tool that sells credits and charges only for valid results. BlitzAPI wins on volume and speed for accounts on its launch offer. LeadMagic wins on entry price, lookup inputs and an MCP server that returns records.
Every price and limit below was checked in September 2026, with its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.
Verdict
- Pick BlitzAPI if you pull more than about 50,000 verified work emails a month from code. Plus is $499 a month flat with no credits for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. Prices for newer accounts are not published.
- Pick LeadMagic if you buy up to about 20,000 emails a month, need to find an email from a name and a domain, or want an agent to get records over MCP. Growth is $249 a month, and you pay only for valid emails.
- Pick neither if you want one flat price at volume, phone numbers on the same plan and an MCP server that returns records. BlitzAPI's MCP server only reads its docs, and LeadMagic has no public price at 1M. LeadOcean is one option.

Data and coverage
BlitzAPI lists the bigger database, but the units differ. It counts 550M+ contacts tied to LinkedIn profiles and 65M+ companies (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). LeadMagic counts 400M+ people and 25M+ companies (LeadMagic, September 2026).
Email is where BlitzAPI is specific. It lists 65M+ verified work emails and says an address it cannot prove comes back as not found. LeadMagic publishes no count of emails held. It validates each email it finds and charges nothing on a miss (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).
Phones are limited on both sides. BlitzAPI holds 45M+ numbers, all in the US, and sells them only on the $599 Full plan (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). LeadMagic publishes no phone count. Its mobile finder costs 5 credits per valid mobile.
Both add signals beyond contacts. BlitzAPI lists 100M+ job postings, and LeadMagic lists 46M+ job posts plus a job change detector at 3 credits a check (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
Run the same 500 people through each before you buy. Match rate depends on the input you send, and neither vendor publishes one.
API and developer experience
Both are plain REST APIs with an API key header. The difference is the input. LeadMagic finds an email from a name and a domain, or from a profile URL. BlitzAPI's work email lookup takes a LinkedIn URL.
LeadMagic's email finder is POST /v1/people/email-finder. It costs 1 credit per valid email and nothing if no email is found (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). The request, with a placeholder person:
curl -X POST 'https://api.leadmagic.io/v1/people/email-finder' \
-H "X-API-Key: $LEADMAGIC_API_KEY" \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com"}'BlitzAPI's lookup is POST /v2/enrichment/email. It returns found, the verified email and an all_emails array (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
curl -X POST 'https://api.blitz-api.ai/v2/enrichment/email' \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-H "x-api-key: $BLITZAPI_API_KEY" \
-d '{"person_linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe"}'If you hold names and domains, LeadMagic fits without a prior step. If you hold LinkedIn URLs, BlitzAPI is the simpler call.
Rate limits shape how each scales. BlitzAPI runs 50 requests per second per endpoint for accounts opened by September 30, 2026, and 5 as the standard rate (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). LeadMagic caps the email finder at 600 requests a minute, about 10 a second. Most other endpoints run 300 a minute.
For agents, only LeadMagic returns records. It hosts an MCP server with OAuth sign-in, states 43 tools and spends the same credits as the API (LeadMagic MCP page, September 2026). BlitzAPI's MCP server answers questions about its docs and cannot search people or enrich a lead.
Pricing
BlitzAPI charges per month, whatever you pull. LeadMagic charges per valid result, inside a monthly credit pool. To compare them, count the credits you would use.
At 10,000 records a month. Take 10,000 valid emails at 1 credit each, which is 10,000 credits. LeadMagic Growth gives 20,000 credits for $249 a month, or $2,490 a year ($208 a month) billed yearly (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
BlitzAPI needs Plus for verified emails, because Core has none. Plus is $499 a month. So at 10,000 emails LeadMagic is cheaper: $499 - $249 = $250 a month on monthly billing (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).
Phones change the sum. Ten thousand mobiles at 5 credits is 50,000 credits, which needs LeadMagic Professional at $499 a month ($416 a month billed yearly). BlitzAPI sells US phones on Full at $599 a month.
The crossover. Professional gives 50,000 credits for $499 a month. On a launch-offer BlitzAPI account, the two tools cost the same at 50,000 valid emails. Above that BlitzAPI stays at $499, and LeadMagic needs Ultimate at $849 a month for up to 100,000 credits.
At 1M records a month. For an account opened by September 30, 2026, BlitzAPI Plus is $499 a month at list. One million results sit under the 15,000,000 a month fair use line, so $499 x 1 month = $499. Only emails it finds count as results (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).
Time matters at 1M. At 50 requests per second, 1,000,000 / 50 = 20,000 seconds, about 5.6 hours. At the standard 5 per second it is about 2.3 days.
LeadMagic has no public price at 1M. Its top self-serve plan is Ultimate, which covers 100,000 credits a month, so 1M is 10 times the largest plan. Top-up prices are not published, and Enterprise starts at $2,490 a quarter with custom volume pricing and no per-credit rate (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). Ask LeadMagic for a quote.
Time is also longer there. At 600 requests a minute, 1,000,000 / 600 is about 1,667 minutes, or 27.8 hours.
One caution on BlitzAPI. The $499 price, the 50 requests per second and the 15,000,000 results line belong to accounts opened by September 30, 2026. The offer closed to new accounts after that day. BlitzAPI has not published prices for later accounts, and the standard limit is 5 requests per second (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). Check the pricing page on the day you sign up.

Where BlitzAPI wins
- Cost at volume, on launch-offer accounts. A flat $499 against a credit meter. LeadMagic has no public price at 1M.
- Speed. 50 requests per second per endpoint for accounts opened by September 30, against 600 requests a minute on LeadMagic's email finder.
- A bigger database on paper. 550M+ profiles and 65M+ companies against 400M+ people and 25M+ companies.
- Predictable bills. No credits and no overage line on paid plans (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
BlitzAPI's weak points are US-only phones, no documented bulk export and an MCP server that only reads docs. Core, Plus and Full carry no SLA (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Where LeadMagic wins
- Entry price. $99 a month for 5,000 credits, and $249 for 20,000. A 14-day money-back guarantee covers the first payment (LeadMagic help, September 2026).
- Pay on success. A miss costs nothing, so you pay only for valid emails.
- Lookup inputs. Name plus domain, name plus company name, or a profile URL.
- MCP that returns data. An agent can find and validate emails in Claude or ChatGPT.
- No deadline on terms. Its prices are not tied to a signup date.
LeadMagic's weak points are the credit meter and the missing 1M price. It also has no free plan, and its top-up prices are not published.
If you need volume through an API
We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. It has a free plan with 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, and no credits or per-record price (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. The same REST API and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools run on every plan. The MCP server searches, enriches and exports records (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).
For bulk pulls, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, or you can use the Exports page in the app. 1M rows is 20 requests over two days (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). See pricing for the detail.
FAQ
Is BlitzAPI cheaper than LeadMagic?
At volume, yes, for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. At 10,000 valid emails a month, LeadMagic Growth is $249 against BlitzAPI Plus at $499. Past 50,000 emails BlitzAPI stays at $499, while LeadMagic reaches Ultimate at $849 and then has no public price.
Does LeadMagic have a free plan?
No. It is pay-as-you-go from $99 a month, with a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment (LeadMagic help, September 2026). BlitzAPI gives 1,000 free credits with no card, but not for phone endpoints (BlitzAPI FAQ, September 2026).
Which one has an MCP server that returns records?
LeadMagic. Its hosted server uses OAuth and spends credits per call (LeadMagic MCP page, September 2026). BlitzAPI's server gives AI tools access to its API docs only (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
