Prospeo wins when you want to search a database and pay per seat with prices on the page. Findymail wins when you already hold names and domains and want a verified address or nothing. At 1M records a month, Prospeo's cheapest public mix costs $14,456 and Findymail has no public 1M price.
Verdict
- Pick Prospeo if reps search, filter and enrich in one tool, and you want published add-ons above 100,000 credits a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
- Pick Findymail if you hold a name and domain or a profile URL, and you want a charge only when a verified email is found (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
- Pick neither if you pull people and company data by API at volume. Seats and credits both climb with every record. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

Each cell comes from the page linked in it, checked in September 2026. Findymail's live pricing page shows a bot check, so its prices come from the August 2026 archived copy. Both vendors change plans often, so read the pricing page before you buy.
Data and coverage
Prospeo is a database with a finder on top. You filter first, then spend credits on the people you want. Findymail is a finder. You bring a name and a domain, or a profile URL, and it returns an address only when it can verify one.
Neither vendor publishes a phone count. Prospeo prints record counts in two places, and they do not match. The homepage says 280M leads and companies (Prospeo, September 2026). The API docs say 200M+ contacts and 30M+ companies (Prospeo API docs, September 2026). Findymail prints none.
Verification works differently. Findymail charges one finder credit only if a verified email is found (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Prospeo defaults only_verified_email to false, so set it to true if you want the same behaviour (Prospeo enrich docs, September 2026). Both tools charge nothing for a lookup that finds nothing.
Findymail does have lead search. Intellimatch takes a plain-language query and returns up to 5,000 companies per search (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Prospeo search uses structured filters, 28 on Free and 41 on Pro (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Repeatable segments are easier with filters.
Phones favour neither. Both charge 10 credits per number. Findymail returns nothing for EU citizens, so a global list will miss (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Test 200 numbers you know before you buy.
API and developer experience
Both tools offer a REST API and a hosted MCP server. The calls look alike: send a name and a company, get an email back. Placeholders below stand in for real people.
Prospeo, enrich a person by name and company domain.
curl -X POST "https://api.prospeo.io/enrich-person" \
-H "X-KEY: $PROSPEO_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"only_verified_email": true, "data": {"first_name": "Jane", "last_name": "Doe", "company_website": "acme.com"}}'It costs 1 credit per email found and nothing on a miss. Re-enriching the same record within 90 days is free (Prospeo enrich docs, September 2026). POST /bulk-enrich-person takes up to 50 records at once.
Findymail, find an email from a name and domain.
curl -X POST "https://app.findymail.com/api/search/name" \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $FINDYMAIL_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"name": "Jane Doe", "domain": "acme.com"}'It uses one finder credit only if a verified email is found. Add a webhook_url and the search runs in the background (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
The limits measure different things. Prospeo caps requests per second, minute and day by plan. Pro allows 30 a second and 500,000 enrich requests a day, so 1M single enrich calls take two days (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). Findymail caps concurrency at 300 simultaneous requests and publishes no daily cap (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
On MCP, Prospeo has 8 tools and Findymail has 14. Bulk enrich over MCP takes 25 records against 50 over REST (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026). Findymail's signs you in through the browser, and lookups that find nothing are free (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026).
Pricing
Prospeo bills per seat, and every seat adds credits to one shared team pool (Prospeo help center, September 2026). Findymail sells monthly credit plans from $49 for 1,000 finder credits to $849 for 100,000, with 2 months free on yearly billing (Findymail pricing, archived August 2026). Above 100,000 it quotes. Prospeo figures use the monthly list price first, with the billed-yearly price after it.
At 10,000 work emails a month
- Prospeo: 10,000 credits at 1 per email. Growth is $99 for 5,000 credits, plus a 5,000-credit add-on at $90, so $189 a month. One Pro seat is $249 for 15,000 credits. Billed yearly, a Pro seat is $2,241 for 180,000 credits upfront, $187 a month equivalent (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
- Findymail: 10,000 finder credits if every lookup finds a verified email. No plan sells exactly 10,000, so the step that covers it is Business at $249 for 15,000 credits, or $208 a month billed yearly (Findymail pricing, archived August 2026). Misses cost nothing, so real use is lower.
At 10,000 mobiles a month
- Prospeo: 10 credits each, so 100,000 credits. Starter at $49 plus the 100,000-credit add-on at $1,200 is $1,249 for 102,000 credits (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
- Findymail: 10 credits each, so 100,000 finder credits. Scale 100K covers it at $849 a month, or $708 billed yearly.
At 1M work emails a month
- Prospeo: no single tier reaches 1M. The cheapest public path is 44 Pro seats at $249 ($10,956) plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500. That is 1,010,000 credits for $14,456 a month. Billed yearly, 3 Pro seats at $2,241 plus the 500,000-credit yearly add-on at $4,500 is $11,223 once (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
- Findymail: no public 1M price. The slider stops at 100,000 credits a month, and larger volumes are quoted. We do not multiply a plan out to 1M.
Prospeo publishes nothing above 350,000 add-on credits a month or 500,000 a year. Support enables extended pricing on request (Prospeo help center, September 2026). 1M mobiles is 10M credits on Prospeo, and no public plan sells that. Prospeo credits do not roll over: unused credits expire each cycle.
The 1M figure assumes every lookup hits. Both tools charge nothing for a miss, so your real bill tracks your hit rate. A list full of stale addresses costs less than the sums above on either one.
Where Prospeo wins
- A database you can filter. Search by structured filters, then enrich only the people you pick (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
- Seats for a team. Each seat adds its credits to one shared team pool (Prospeo help center, September 2026).
- Published volume prices. Add-ons go to 350,000 credits a month, where Findymail's public plans stop at 100,000.
- Higher published ceilings. Pro allows 30 enrich requests a second and 500,000 a day.
Where Findymail wins
- Verified or free. A lookup that does not find a verified email costs nothing, with no flag to set (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
- A standalone verifier.
POST /api/verifychecks an address you already own for one verifier credit, kept apart from finder credits. - A bigger MCP toolset. 14 tools against 8, including lookalike search and exclusion lists (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026).
- No seat price to model. Credits scale with use, not with headcount. Unused credits roll over up to 2x the plan, where Prospeo's expire.
If you need volume through an API
Neither tool is built for a million records a month. LeadOcean is a database of 693M people and 63M companies, reached over REST and a 12-tool MCP server. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card.
Export up to 50,000 rows per request with POST /v1/exports, so a 1M-row pull is 20 calls over two days. LeadOcean has no Chrome extension and no sequencer, so reps who work in a browser should stay with Prospeo. See LeadOcean pricing for the full terms.
FAQ
Is Prospeo or Findymail more accurate?
Neither publishes an independent test, and we have not run one. Prospeo claims 98% data accuracy on its homepage (Prospeo, September 2026). Run 200 contacts you know through each tool and compare the results.
Which is cheaper for 10,000 lookups a month?
Prospeo costs $189 a month at list price: Growth at $99 plus a 5,000-credit add-on at $90 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Findymail's nearest step is Business at $249 for 15,000 credits (Findymail pricing, archived August 2026). Prospeo is cheaper at this volume.
Do Prospeo and Findymail both have an MCP server?
Yes. Prospeo's is hosted at mcp.prospeo.io with 8 tools (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026). Findymail's is hosted at mcp.findymail.com/mcp with 14 tools (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026).
Can I get phone numbers for EU contacts?
Not from Findymail, which returns nothing for EU citizens (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Prospeo's pages we read state no such limit. Test a sample of your own EU list first.
Does Prospeo have a free API?
Its pages disagree. The pricing table shows no public API on Free, while the help center lists limited access at 50 requests a day (Prospeo help center, September 2026). Test a free key before you plan around it.
What does LeadOcean cost, and is there a limit?
Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down instead of cut off, and support can raise the headroom.
