Best email finder tools for DACH

7 Best Email Finder Tools for DACH in 2026 (Compared)

Seven email finders judged on one question, how well they cover people who work in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with the free test to run on each and the list price of 1M lookups.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

An email finder returns a person's business email address from a name and company, a LinkedIn URL or an ID. Sales teams, recruiters and agent builders who sell into Germany, Austria and Switzerland need one that actually holds people there. Most vendors publish a global total and nothing for DACH.

This page ranks seven finders on that one criterion: how well they cover people who work in DACH, and how you can check it before you pay. LeadOcean's figures come from free counts we ran on 21 October 2026. Every other number is the vendor's claim, with its source. Several have their own page: Dealfront, Cognism, Kaspr, Lusha, Hunter and FullEnrich. New to the category? Read what an email finder is first.

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell says so or shows its top public tier. We never multiply a small-plan rate out to 1M.

What we evaluated

  • Published DACH figure: a count for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, a wider region, or nothing. Vendors count by different rules, so totals do not compare cleanly.
  • A free test you can run: whether you can check DACH coverage on a free plan, a trial or a sample before you pay.
  • API and MCP: which plans open the API and an agent server, and the default rate limit.
  • Price model at volume: flat, credits or seats, and the list price of 1M work-email lookups.
  • Limits that bite: plan ceilings, seat rules and what a miss costs.

We ran no find-rate or accuracy test. We counted DACH records only in LeadOcean. Treat every other figure as a vendor claim until you run the test below.

The DACH coverage test

Take 60 contacts you sell to: 20 in Germany, 20 in Switzerland and 20 in Austria. Use company domains ending in .de, .ch and .at, and mix German titles such as Geschäftsführer with English ones. Run the same 60 through each tool on its free plan, trial or sample.

Count three things: people found, work emails returned, and emails with a verified status. Do it on one day, because every vendor refreshes on its own schedule. Score Austria on its own. It is the thinnest market for most vendors, and a blended total hides it.

1. LeadOcean: best for DACH lists pulled by API, agent or volume

LeadOcean holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. A free count on 21 October 2026 found 15,399,061 people in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with any email status. You can size a DACH list before you spend a record, because counts are free.

Most of those records have no email we would send to. The default count, which keeps verified, catch-all valid and catch-all addresses, is 2,616,982, about 17% of the total. Size a campaign on the mailable figure, not the headline.

These counts all use the country filter, run through the MCP count_leads tool on 21 October 2026. The first three rows are mailable counts, the default.

What we filteredPeople
Germany, verified, catch-all valid or catch-all email1,760,065
Switzerland, same email filter666,356
Austria, same email filter190,561
DACH, same email filter2,616,982
DACH, any email status15,399,061
DACH, verified work email1,091,659
DACH, with a phone number, any email status (not a mailable count)768,271

Germany is 67% of the mailable DACH count, Switzerland 25% and Austria 7%. Austria is thin, so test it first. You can repeat the check. A search with count=true and limit 1 costs nothing, and the REST total stops at 100,000, so use the MCP count_leads tool for an exact DACH figure.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"country":["DE"],"limit":1}'

To find one email, search by company domain, then enrich by person_id with POST /v1/people/enrich and reveal_email set to true. A person we hold nothing for is a free 404. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Free counts on every plan, so DACH coverage is checkable before you spend.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free, with 13 MCP tools.
  • Agency is $497 a month with 1M enrichments a day, not a per-lookup meter.
  • An email_status on every record, with 13 values, and a free 404 on a miss.

Cons

  • About 17% of DACH records carry a mailable email, and Austria has 190,561.
  • No lookup by name plus domain. Search by company domain first, then enrich by person_id.
  • No Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download.

Best for: engineers, RevOps teams and agents that pull DACH lists at volume.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. Dealfront: best for DACH sales and marketing teams in one app

Dealfront is the DACH-native option. It formed when Germany's Echobot merged with Finland's Leadfeeder, and the company has since renamed itself Leadfeeder, with website visitor identification as its stated core strength (Leadfeeder, October 2026). Weigh that if you want contact data more than visitor signals.

The homepage claims 60M companies, 400M verified contacts and 100+ filters (Dealfront, October 2026). It gives no split for Germany, Austria or Switzerland. List prices are the same number in dollars and euros (Leadfeeder help, September 2026).

DACH test: Lite is free with 20 credits a month and opens with 14 days of full access. Verified emails and phones are listed from Activate, which has a 14-day free trial (Leadfeeder pricing, October 2026). An email-only contact costs 0.2 credit (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). Run the 60 names in that trial.

API access is on Discover, Activate and Scale, not Lite. The limit is 10 requests a second per key, a burst of 15 and 100,000 requests a month (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). The MCP server is in beta and comes with a paid plan that has API access (Leadfeeder MCP page, September 2026).

Pros

  • German roots and a stated DACH focus.
  • A free Lite plan to start.
  • Visitor identification and company data in one platform.

Cons

  • No public price at 1M. 1M email-only contacts is 200,000 credits.
  • 100,000 API requests a month per key.
  • No DACH count on the pages we read.

Best for: DACH sales and marketing teams that want company data and visitor identification in one app.

Pricing: Lite free. Discover $113 a month billed monthly or $79 billed yearly, Activate $527 or $369, Scale from $599 billed yearly (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

3. Cognism: best for DACH outbound teams that call mobiles

cognism homepage

Cognism sells sales prospecting built around phone-verified mobiles and European data. Its EMEA page says coverage is strongest in the UK, DACH, Benelux, Nordics, France and Spain, and claims more than 200M European contacts (Cognism EMEA data, October 2026). Those are vendor claims, with no count for Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

Cognism claims more than 10M phone-verified contacts and Do Not Call checks in 15 territories (Cognism Diamond Data, September 2026). It publishes no dollar price. Pricing is tailored to team setup and usage, with Standard and Pro plans at five seats each (Cognism pricing, September 2026).

DACH test: the EMEA page offers a 25-lead sample so you can check coverage in your key markets before you buy. Send 25 of your 60 names and count how many come back with an email and a mobile.

The API allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation (Cognism rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server has 15 tools and OAuth 2.0 sign-in (Cognism MCP docs, September 2026). API and MCP need a package that includes them.

Pros

  • Phone-verified mobiles with Do Not Call checks.
  • A free sample to test your own DACH list.
  • MCP server with 15 tools.

Cons

  • No public price at any size, so 1M needs a sales call.
  • No DACH count, and no total beyond hundreds of millions.
  • API and MCP depend on the package you buy.

Best for: DACH outbound teams that call mobiles and can buy through sales.

Pricing: Quote only. Standard and Pro plans (Cognism pricing, September 2026).

4. Kaspr: best for reps prospecting from LinkedIn across Europe

Kaspr is a LinkedIn-first contact finder, born in France. Its data page claims 200 million European B2B contacts from 120+ sources (Kaspr data page, October 2026). It gives no figure for Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

Free is $0 per user. It has 15 B2B email credits, 5 phone credits and 5 direct email credits a month. Starter is EUR 59 or $65 per user a month billed monthly, and Business is EUR 99 or $99 (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). Phone and direct email credits are limited.

DACH test: the free plan covers 15 emails and 5 phones. Run 15 names, then buy one Starter seat for a month if the hit rate is good. Free has no API.

API access is on request on paid plans. Starter allows 20 requests an hour and 250 a day, and Business allows 250 an hour and 500 a day (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). Each API call spends the data credit plus one export credit (Kaspr help center, September 2026). The API docs list no MCP server (Kaspr API docs, October 2026).

Pros

  • Europe is the home market.
  • A free plan and a low per-user price.
  • Unlimited B2B email credits on paid plans, subject to fair use.

Cons

  • No DACH count on the pages we read.
  • API on request, 500 calls a day at the top public tier, and no MCP server listed.
  • No public plan reaches 1M, and the free plan has 15 email credits.

Best for: reps who look up contacts one profile at a time in the browser and sell across Europe.

Pricing: Free, Starter EUR 59 or $65 and Business EUR 99 or $99 per user a month billed monthly (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).

5. Lusha: best for a free plan to test DACH contacts

lusha homepage

Lusha sells contact data on self-serve credit plans, with a browser extension and an API. Its data page gives global totals and, in our reading, no DACH split (Lusha data, October 2026). A global total says little about Austrian owners or Swiss heads of IT.

An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5. Every plan, including Free, has an API key (Lusha API guide, September 2026). The MCP server has 50 tools and shares the REST credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).

DACH test: Free is 40 credits a month with no card (Lusha pricing, September 2026). That covers 40 emails or 8 phone numbers, so run 40 of your 60 names for email.

Pros

  • A free plan with an API key.
  • A 50-tool MCP server on the same credit pool.
  • Phone numbers in the same lookup.

Cons

  • Free and Starter allow 40 API requests a minute and 100 a day.
  • Credits meter every reveal, and no 1M price is public.
  • No DACH count on the data page.

Best for: reps and analysts who want a free plan to check DACH contacts against other tools.

Pricing: Starter is $49.90 a month, or $37.45 billed yearly. Premium is $399.90 a month, or $299.95 billed yearly (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

6. Hunter: best for domain lookups with an app and extension

Hunter is built around a domain, which suits German company websites. One credit is one email found, and nothing is charged if nothing is found (Hunter help, September 2026). Hunter publishes no DACH count on the pages we read (Hunter Data Platform, October 2026).

The free plan gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits, and Scale is $299 for 25,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). At volume the route is Data Platform, which sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months.

Email Finder allows 15 requests a second (Hunter API docs, September 2026). The remote MCP server takes your API key and is included on every plan (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

DACH test: use 50 company domains ending in .de, .at and .ch and see how many return a named person with a verified email on the free 50 credits.

Pros

  • 15 requests a second on the core endpoints.
  • MCP server included on every plan at no extra cost.
  • Browser extension and Sheets add-on for reps who skip the API.
  • Charges nothing when no email is found.

Cons

  • No published DACH figure, and domain-first lookup.
  • The top all-in-one plan stops at 25,000 credits a month.
  • The 1M price is a one-off purchase, not a monthly bill.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and want an app and extension beside the API.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

7. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles for known names

FullEnrich queries 25+ sources per contact and charges only for what it finds. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not found costs 0 (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). It states about an 80% work-email find rate, a vendor claim we did not test, and no DACH count (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month, and above that you contact sales. API, MCP and bulk CSV are on every plan, including the free trial of 50 credits. The API allows 60 calls a minute (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).

DACH test: a waterfall suits thin markets such as Austria, because it tries several sources. The 50 trial credits cover 50 work emails, so run 50 of your 60 names.

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call covers several vendors.
  • No charge for not found or landline results.
  • API, MCP and unlimited users on every plan.

Cons

  • $0.035 a credit even on the top monthly tier.
  • No public 1M price, and the API stops at 60 calls a minute.
  • Mobiles cost 10 credits, so phone-heavy pulls get costly.

Best for: teams with a known list of DACH names that want waterfall emails and mobiles.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits. Enterprise is custom (FullEnrich pricing, October 2026).

Verdict

Dealfront wins for DACH teams that want an app with visitor signals, and Cognism for outbound teams that call mobiles. Kaspr suits LinkedIn-first reps, Hunter suits domain lookups and FullEnrich suits waterfall mobiles. Lusha is the free plan to check against the rest. We measured no rival's DACH match rate, so run the same 60 contacts through two tools before you buy.
