Coresignal and Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) sell different things. Coresignal is a data API for employee, company and job records, billed in credits. Clearbit is data enrichment inside HubSpot, with no price of its own.
Pick by where your data ends up. Code and warehouses point to Coresignal. A HubSpot CRM points to Clearbit.
Verdict
- Pick Coresignal if you pull profiles, companies or job postings in code, and want a public API, a public price list and a documented rate limit. It is the only one of the two where you can read the docs before you buy.
- Pick Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) if your contacts and companies already live in HubSpot and you want records filled in where your team works. It adds little if you do not run HubSpot.
- Pick neither if you want contact data at volume through an API for a fixed bill. Coresignal meters every record in credits, and Clearbit needs a CRM plan. LeadOcean is the flat-price option, covered below.

Data and coverage
Coresignal publishes its size. The homepage lists 907M+ employee records, 70M+ company records and 482M+ job postings, with company data delivered daily (Coresignal, September 2026). Clearbit publishes no count to set against that.
The data types differ more than the sizes. Coresignal sells raw professional profiles, company records and job postings. Clearbit sells firmographic and contact enrichment for a record you already hold.
On contact data, Coresignal is partial. Multi-source employee records carry a professional email with a status of verified, matched_email, matched_pattern or guessed_common_pattern. The Base Employee API pages list no email field, and neither dictionary lists a phone field (Coresignal data dictionary, September 2026).
Clearbit does not search. HubSpot enriches a contact from a work email and a company from a domain (HubSpot docs, September 2026). The default contact fields are job title, seniority, role, location and LinkedIn URL, with no email or phone field.
Clearbit's homepage lists 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalized role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). That is deeper company data than Coresignal's docs describe.
API and developer experience
Coresignal lets you read its docs and call its API before you pay. Clearbit has an API too, but the docs sit behind a sign-in. Coresignal is the only one of the two where you can check a request first.
Coresignal sends the key in an apikey header (Coresignal docs, September 2026). The collect call takes a shorthand name from a profile URL. On the multi-source API it costs 20 credits (Coresignal docs, September 2026).
curl -X GET \
"https://api.coresignal.com/cdapi/v2/employee_multi_source/collect/jane-doe" \
-H "accept: application/json" \
-H "apikey: $CORESIGNAL_API_KEY"Search by filter or Elasticsearch DSL is free and returns IDs. You pay when you collect, and a search preview costs 10 to 20 credits (Coresignal docs, September 2026).
Clearbit has no public request to show. Its API docs redirect to a sign-in page (Clearbit docs, September 2026), so test it from inside an account.
New Clearbit sign-ups since December 2023 need a HubSpot account (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). Inside HubSpot, enrichment is a settings switch. A Super Admin turns on automatic enrichment, and it is off by default.
Rate limits differ in kind. Coresignal ties speed to the plan, from 5 requests a second to 100+ (Coresignal rate limits, September 2026). Clearbit publishes none.
On MCP, Coresignal's server signs in with OAuth 2.1 and has 5 tools. entity_search costs 20 credits a call, and entity_fields and artifact_read are free (Coresignal MCP docs, September 2026). HubSpot's MCP server reads and writes CRM records such as contacts and deals. We found none for enrichment itself (HubSpot MCP, September 2026).
For bulk work, Coresignal's Bulk Collect is asynchronous at 10,000 records per request. Clearbit enriches 100 records at a time from an index page, and larger jobs run through imports, segments or workflows.
Pricing
Coresignal bills one meter, the credit. Clearbit bills nothing of its own, because enrichment sits inside a HubSpot plan. Coresignal figures use the monthly list price first, with the billed-yearly price after it.
The two are not like for like. A Coresignal credit buys a record you did not hold. Clearbit fills in a record you already have. We price both at the same volume, but they do different jobs.
At 10,000 work-email lookups a month
- Coresignal: contact enrichment costs 20 credits a call. 10,000 x 20 = 200,000 credits (Coresignal docs, September 2026).
- The Contact Enrichment API starts at Pro. Pro holds 35,000 credits, which is 1,750 lookups. Growth holds 150,000, or 7,500 lookups. Premium holds 1,000,000 credits.
- So 10,000 lookups needs Premium at $1,500 a month, or $1,350 a month billed yearly (Coresignal pricing, September 2026). That is $0.15 a lookup on the monthly price. Premium shows a Get started button, but the page flags it for a sales contact, so expect a call.
- Clearbit: no per-record price. You pay the HubSpot plan, which HubSpot lists in local currency, per hub and seat (HubSpot pricing, September 2026).
- From an index page, 10,000 records is 100 batches of 100. Imports, segments and workflows take larger jobs.
If HubSpot is already paid for, Clearbit is the cheaper way to fill 10,000 records you hold. If you are not on HubSpot, you are buying a CRM to get a data feed.
At 1M records a month
- Coresignal: No public 1M price. 1,000,000 lookups x 20 credits = 20,000,000 credits. The largest public plan, Elite, is $5,000 a month for 10,000,000 credits, or $4,500 a month billed yearly. That covers 500,000 lookups (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).
- Coresignal does not document buying two Elite plans at once, so volume past Elite needs a quote.
- Base records are cheaper. 1M Base records at 10 credits is 10,000,000 credits, one Elite month at $5,000. Base records carry no email, so that is not a contact cost.
- Clearbit: No public 1M price. HubSpot publishes no per-record rate to multiply and no monthly enrichment cap to size against (HubSpot docs, September 2026). At 100 records a batch, 1M is 10,000 batches, so it is a workflow job.
We do not multiply a rate out to 1M for either tool. A number built that way is arithmetic past the public tiers, not a price anyone will quote you.
Where Coresignal wins
- A public data API with open docs, so a developer can test before buying.
- Size you can check: 907M+ employee records, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings on the homepage.
- Job postings at 1 credit each, and a Real-time Employee API for live profiles.
- A rate limit that scales to 100+ requests a second, and flat-file datasets from $1,000 a month for warehouse loads.
- An MCP server for agents, with a free trial of 2,000 credits that works with it.
Where Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) wins
- Enrichment inside HubSpot. Automatic enrichment fills new records without anyone writing code.
- Richer company data: NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, plus parent and subsidiary mapping.
- Form shortening, so a form asks only for fields it can enrich from an email address.
- No per-record price to track when you already own a HubSpot plan.
- One vendor if HubSpot is already your CRM and your data layer.
If you need volume through an API
LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server with no credits, no per-record price and no CRM in front of it. Pro costs $499 a month flat, and the Free plan gives 1,000 records one-off with no card (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026). Both plans get the same REST API and 12-tool MCP server, and 166M people carry a phone number. POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). It has no job postings and no live profile fetch, so compare it on a list you know. See pricing or the Coresignal alternative.
FAQ
Is Coresignal or Clearbit better for a developer?
Coresignal. Its docs are public, its price list is public and its rate limit is documented by plan. Clearbit's docs sit behind a sign-in, and access for new customers is not published (Clearbit docs, September 2026).
Is Clearbit still a separate product?
Partly. Clearbit is now part of HubSpot, and new sign-ups need a HubSpot account (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). HubSpot's docs call the feature data enrichment and list it inside its hubs.
Which is cheaper, Coresignal or Clearbit?
It depends on whether you own HubSpot. At 10,000 work-email lookups, Coresignal needs Premium at $1,500 a month. Clearbit has no standalone price, only the HubSpot plan. At 1M, neither publishes a price.
Do both have an API and an MCP server?
Coresignal has a public REST API and a 5-tool MCP server with OAuth 2.1. Clearbit documents an API behind a sign-in, and we found no enrichment MCP server. HubSpot's MCP server covers CRM records.
Does either one provide phone numbers?
Not on a person. Coresignal's employee dictionaries list no phone field. HubSpot's default contact properties list none either, and phone coverage is not published (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
How does LeadOcean compare with these two?
LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server with one flat price, $499 a month on Pro. It does not fill HubSpot properties, and it has no job postings. For related reading, see Coresignal vs Wiza, Coresignal vs Snov.io, Coresignal vs Kaspr and Coresignal alternatives.
