Verdict

  • Pick Coresignal if you need job postings, raw profile volume, or flat-file datasets. It lists 907M+ employee records and 482M+ job postings, and searching by filter costs nothing.
  • Pick Snov.io if you want to find, verify and send in one login, with phones and a CRM. Starter is $39 a month, and plans go up to 100,000 credits for $738 a month.
  • Pick neither if you need people search, emails and phones at volume through an API on a flat bill. Neither prints a 1M price. LeadOcean is one option: Pro is $499 a month.

Data and coverage

Coresignal is bigger on raw records, and Snov.io is closer to a contact list you can send to. Both numbers are vendor claims, so test them on your own list.

Coresignal's homepage lists 907M+ employee records, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings, with company data delivered daily (Coresignal, September 2026). Snov.io's marketing pages claim 500M+ verified contacts and 60M+ companies (Snov.io lead finder, October 2026). Snov.io's own Database Search guide says 50M+ prospects, updated monthly (Snov.io guide, October 2026). The two Snov.io numbers are not measured alike.

Email works differently on each. Coresignal's multi-source employee records carry a professional email with four status values: verified, matched_email, matched_pattern and guessed_common_pattern. Its Base Employee API pages list no email field (Coresignal data dictionary, September 2026). Snov.io returns an address from a name and a domain, and charges 1 credit only when the status is valid or unknown (Snov.io API docs, October 2026).

Phone is the clearest split. Coresignal lists no phone field in its employee dictionaries. Snov.io sells a phone finder through enrichment tokens, at 10 tokens a number from Wiza or 22 from Zeliq (Snov.io knowledgebase, October 2026). Neither publishes how often it finds a number.

Search filters differ in size. Coresignal's Base Employee API lists 37 filters (Coresignal docs, September 2026). Snov.io lists five prospect filters and six company filters in its Database Search guide, and adds AI search in the app (Snov.io guide, October 2026).

Coresignal's MCP email lookup excludes employees in the EEA and UK (Coresignal MCP docs, September 2026). Test that first if your list is European.

API and developer experience

Coresignal searches for free and charges you to collect a record. Snov.io starts a task, then you read the result. Both have a hosted MCP server.

Coresignal sends the key in an apikey header. The collect call takes a shorthand name taken from a profile URL and costs 20 credits on the multi-source API (Coresignal docs, September 2026).

bash
curl -X GET \
  "https://api.coresignal.com/cdapi/v2/employee_multi_source/collect/jane-doe" \
  -H "accept: application/json" \
  -H "apikey: $CORESIGNAL_API_KEY"

Search by filter or Elasticsearch DSL is free and returns IDs. A search preview costs 10 to 20 credits per call of up to 20 results (Coresignal docs, September 2026).

Snov.io needs a token first. You exchange a client ID and secret for a Bearer token, then start a task of up to 10 rows (Snov.io API docs, October 2026).

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.snov.io/v2/emails-by-domain-by-name/start" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SNOV_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"rows":[{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com"}]}'

The call returns a task_hash. You read the answer with GET /v2/emails-by-domain-by-name/result?task_hash=..., or pass a webhook_url and have Snov.io post it to you.

Limits decide which one fits a pipeline. Coresignal ties speed to the plan, from 5 requests a second on Starter to 100+ on Elite. Snov.io caps the whole API at 60 requests a minute. With 10 rows a request, that is 600 lookups a minute at best, so 1M lookups take about 28 hours of nonstop calls.

Both MCP servers sit behind OAuth. Coresignal's has 5 tools at https://mcp.coresignal.com/mcp/v2. It bills entity_search at 20 credits a call, and entity_fields and artifact_read are free (Coresignal MCP docs, September 2026). Snov.io's reaches past data into CRM deals, campaigns and LinkedIn actions (Snov.io MCP, October 2026).

Pricing

At small volume Snov.io is far cheaper for a work email, and neither tool prints a price at 1M. Compare them on one task: a found work email. Figures use the monthly list price first, with the billed-yearly price after it.

At 10,000 work emails a month

Coresignal: 10,000 lookups x 20 credits = 200,000 credits. Contact enrichment starts at Pro, which holds 35,000 credits and covers 1,750 lookups. Growth holds 150,000 and covers 7,500. That leaves Premium at $1,500 a month for 1,000,000 credits, or $1,350 a month billed yearly (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

You use a fifth of Premium, so $1,500 / 10,000 = $0.15 a lookup. Premium credits roll over for 3 months (Coresignal docs, September 2026).

Monthly Premium is self-serve (Get started opens sign-up), while the yearly plan goes through Contact us (Coresignal pricing, October 2026).

Snov.io: 10,000 emails found x 1 credit = 10,000 credits. There is no 10,000-credit plan. Pro M is $189 a month for 20,000 credits, or $141.75 a month billed annually (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).

You use half of Pro M, so $189 / 10,000 = $0.0189 an email. The finder charges only for a valid or unknown status (Snov.io API docs, October 2026). Snov.io is about eight times cheaper than Coresignal on this task.

At 1M work emails a month

Coresignal: no public 1M price. 1,000,000 lookups x 20 credits = 20,000,000 credits, and no public plan reaches that. The top plan, Elite, is $5,000 a month for 10,000,000 credits ($4,500 billed yearly), which covers 500,000 lookups (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

Coresignal lists no plan above Elite, so ask for a quote. Do not multiply a plan rate out and call it a price.

Be careful with the cheaper-looking number. 1,000,000 Base records is 10,000,000 credits, one Elite month at $5,000. Base employee records carry no email, so that is not an email cost.

Snov.io: no public 1M price. 1,000,000 emails x 1 credit = 1,000,000 credits. The top self-serve plan is Ultra at $738 a month for 100,000 credits, or $553.50 billed annually. Custom Ultra starts at 200,000 credits and is sold through sales (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).

We do not multiply the Ultra rate out to 1M, because Snov.io sells no such plan. Phones are extra: 75 to 750 tokens come with each plan, and a phone is 10 or 22 tokens.

Where Coresignal wins

  • Job postings. 482M+ postings at 1 credit each. Snov.io lists none.
  • Raw profile volume. 907M+ employee records and 70M+ companies, with daily company updates.
  • Free search. Search by filter or DSL costs nothing. You pay only to collect.
  • Datasets. Flat files from $1,000 a month, for teams that load a warehouse.
  • A rate limit that scales. Up to 100+ requests a second on Elite, against 60 a minute on Snov.io.

Where Snov.io wins

  • Cheaper emails at small volume. $0.0189 an email at 10,000 a month, against $0.15 on Coresignal.
  • Phones. It sells a phone finder. Coresignal lists no phone field.
  • An outreach suite. Campaigns, warm-up, LinkedIn automation and a CRM, with unlimited team seats (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).
  • A low entry price. Starter is $39 a month, against $49 for Coresignal Mini, and Mini has no contact enrichment.
  • Verification in the plan. The pricing page lists a 7-tier email verifier on its plans (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).

If you need volume through an API

We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. Both tools meter every record, and neither prints a price at 1M. LeadOcean holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies, behind REST and a 12-tool MCP server.

Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and a limit of 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026). POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, and the app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026).

LeadOcean has no sequencer or CRM. It replaces the data source, not the sending tool. See the Coresignal alternative page for a line-by-line view.
