Coresignal and Prospeo both bill by the credit, but they sell different things. Coresignal sells raw professional records: employees, companies and job postings. Prospeo sells found emails and mobile numbers. Pick by what you need back from each call.
Verdict
- Pick Coresignal if you need profile and company records at scale, job postings, a public rate limit that reaches 100+ requests a second, or licensed flat-file datasets.
- Pick Prospeo if you need verified work emails and mobile numbers on a list of up to a few tens of thousands of contacts a month, and reps who prospect in a Chrome extension.
- Pick neither if you need 1M contacts a month at one flat price. Coresignal publishes no 1M price, and Prospeo's cheapest public mix is $14,456 a month. LeadOcean has a flat price for that shape of work (see below).

Figures come from the vendors' pages linked in each cell, checked in September 2026. Both change plans often, so confirm before you buy.
Data and coverage
Coresignal is the bigger and wider dataset. It lists 907M+ employee records, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings, with company data delivered daily (Coresignal, September 2026). Prospeo's API docs list 200M+ contacts and 30M+ companies (Prospeo API docs, September 2026). On raw employee count, Coresignal is about 4.5 times larger (our arithmetic).
Size is not the same as contact data. Coresignal counts professional profiles, and the email sits only on its multi-source employee record. Prospeo counts contacts it can search and enrich with an email or mobile.
Emails are where they split. Coresignal puts a professional email on its multi-source employee record, with four statuses: verified, matched_email, matched_pattern and guessed_common_pattern. The Base Employee API lists no email field (Coresignal data dictionary, September 2026). Prospeo charges 1 credit per email found, and you can ask for verified emails only (Prospeo docs, September 2026).
Phones are the clearest gap. Prospeo sells a mobile at 10 credits, with the email included. Coresignal's employee dictionaries list no phone field, so a dial list means a second vendor. Neither publishes how many records carry an email or phone, so run a sample on your own list.
Search differs too. Coresignal's filter and Elasticsearch search is free and returns IDs, then you pay to collect. A search preview returns up to 20 records a call and up to 1,000 through 50 pages (Coresignal docs, September 2026). Prospeo returns 25 results a page for 1 credit, up to 25,000 results per search, with no email or mobile in the rows (Prospeo search docs, September 2026).
API and developer experience
Both are plain REST with a key in a header. The difference is what one call returns.
Coresignal collects a full record by employee ID or shorthand name, with the key in an apikey header. The multi-source record costs 20 credits (Coresignal docs, September 2026).
curl -X GET \
"https://api.coresignal.com/cdapi/v2/employee_multi_source/collect/jane-doe" \
-H "accept: application/json" \
-H "apikey: $CORESIGNAL_API_KEY"Prospeo enriches a person from a name plus a company website, a LinkedIn URL or an email. The only_verified_email flag stops it spending a credit on an unverified address, and a miss costs nothing (Prospeo docs, September 2026).
curl -X POST "https://api.prospeo.io/enrich-person" \
-H "X-KEY: $PROSPEO_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"only_verified_email":true,"data":{"full_name":"Jane Doe","company_website":"acme.com"}}'Rate limits differ in kind. Coresignal ties speed to the plan, from 5 to 100 requests a second (Coresignal docs, September 2026). At 50 requests a second on Premium, 1M collects take about 5.6 hours (our arithmetic). Prospeo adds daily caps: 2,000 enrich requests on Starter, 5,000 on Growth and 500,000 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026).
On MCP, both have a hosted server. Coresignal's has 5 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.1. entity_search costs 20 credits a call, and entity_fetch costs 20 credits per employee or company record. The server's own tool text bills email_enrich at 20 credits per email found, while the MCP docs page still says 10. Prospeo's has 8 tools, signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key, and bulk enrich takes up to 25 over MCP (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pricing
Price both as work-email lookups. Coresignal bills 20 credits a call through its Contact Enrichment API, included from Pro upward. Prospeo bills 1 credit per verified email found (Coresignal pricing, September 2026; Prospeo help center, September 2026).
At 10,000 records a month
Prospeo: 10,000 lookups x 1 credit = 10,000 credits. The cheapest public mix on monthly billing is one Growth seat at $99 for 5,000 credits plus the 5,000-credit add-on at $90. That is $189 a month, about $0.019 a lookup. Billed yearly, 120,000 credits a year cost $1,641 on the cheapest public mix: one Starter seat at $441 for 24,000 credits plus the 100,000-credit yearly add-on at $1,200. That is about $137 a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Unused credits expire each cycle.
Coresignal: 10,000 lookups x 20 credits = 200,000 credits. Growth stops at 150,000 credits, which is 7,500 lookups. That leaves Premium at $1,500 a month for 1,000,000 credits, or $1,350 a month billed yearly. You use a fifth of it, so $0.15 a lookup on the monthly price (Coresignal pricing, September 2026). Premium credits roll over for 3 months.
Premium shows a Get started button, but the pricing page flags Premium, Scale and Elite for a sales contact, so expect a call (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).
For email lookups at 10,000 a month, Prospeo costs about an eighth of Coresignal. The units differ, though. A Prospeo credit buys a found email. A Coresignal call returns a full multi-source record, and the email is one field in it. If you only want profiles, a Base record is 10 credits.
At 1M records a month
Coresignal: no public 1M price. 1,000,000 lookups x 20 credits = 20,000,000 credits, and no public plan reaches that. The top plan, Elite, is $5,000 a month for 10,000,000 credits, which covers 500,000 lookups. Coresignal lists nothing above it, so 1M means asking for a quote (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).
Prospeo: no single tier reaches 1M credits. The cheapest public path on monthly billing is 44 Pro seats at $249 = $10,956 for 660,000 credits, plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500. That is 1,010,000 credits for $14,456 a month. Add-on credits are shared by the team and do not grow with seats (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
If 1M is a one-off, billed yearly is cheaper. Three Pro seats at $2,241 plus the 500,000-credit yearly add-on at $4,500 cost $11,223 once and deliver 1,040,000 credits upfront. Add-ons follow the billing period you pick, and switching periods removes them (Prospeo help center, September 2026).
Prospeo publishes nothing above 350,000 add-on credits a month or 500,000 a year. Higher volume needs support to enable extended pricing on request (Prospeo help center, September 2026). A mobile costs 10 credits, so 1M mobiles is 10M credits, and no public plan sells that.
Where Coresignal wins
- Raw size and signals. 907M+ employee records, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings, each sold on its own.
- A readable rate limit. 100 requests a second on Scale, published per plan, with no daily cap listed.
- Bulk and datasets. Bulk Collect takes 10,000 records per request, and flat-file datasets start at $1,000 a month.
- Free search. Search by filter or Elasticsearch DSL costs nothing until you collect.
- Live profiles. A Real-time Employee API fetches a profile on demand.
Where Prospeo wins
- Mobile numbers. A mobile finder at 10 credits, billed only on a hit. Coresignal lists no phone field.
- Cheaper at 10,000 lookups. About $0.019 a lookup, against $0.15 on Coresignal Premium.
- A low entry. A Free plan with 100 credits a month, and Starter at $49 a month per user.
- Rep tools. A Chrome extension on every plan, and HubSpot and Salesforce sync on Growth and Pro (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).
- A lower first step to contact data. Coresignal's Contact Enrichment API starts at Pro, $499 a month. Prospeo's paid plans start at $49.
If you need volume through an API
LeadOcean is a people and company database you call over REST or MCP, with one flat price. Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. It covers 693M people and 63M companies, with a phone number for 166M people at GET /v2/people/phone.
For bulk work, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down, not cut off. It has no job postings and no Chrome extension. See the Coresignal alternative page, the Coresignal alternatives roundup and pricing.
