People leave Wiza when an email finder built for one rep has to feed a pipeline. Wiza sells seats. The Email plan is $83 a user a month billed yearly and caps exports at 2,500 a month (Wiza pricing, September 2026). API access is listed on the custom Team plan, and the API page says "Book a call to discuss API pricing" (Wiza API, September 2026). API reveals cost 2 credits for a valid email and 5 for a phone (Wiza docs, September 2026). The Starter API runs 5 requests at a time (Wiza docs, September 2026). That suits a rep on LinkedIn. It is a poor fit for code or an agent.

This page ranks six alternatives for API and volume buyers. LeadOcean is first because it has one flat price and no credits. For a two-column view, see LeadOcean vs Wiza. For API-only buyers, read Wiza API alternatives.

"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Figures are list-price arithmetic. Where a vendor sells no plan at that volume, the cell says so and names its top public tier. Enterprise quotes differ, so ask each vendor at your volume.

For reference, Wiza does not publish a price at that volume. Its annual Email plan allows 2,500 exports per seat a month, so 1M exports is 400 seats, or $33,200 a month (Wiza pricing, September 2026). Wiza API credits are quoted on a call.

What we evaluated

  • API access: which plan opens it, how a record is requested, and the default rate limit.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
  • Price model: flat, credits or seats, and what 1M records a month costs at list price.
  • Data: stated coverage, email and phone fields, and search filters.
  • Limits that bite: export caps, daily request caps, plan gates and fair-use clauses.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers. Wiza says it verifies data at the moment you request it. We did not test that claim.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers

LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters. Counts are free. Enrichment is POST /v1/people/enrich, phones are GET /v2/people/phone, and exports run up to 50,000 rows per request.

The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off. More headroom is one email to support.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'

The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads. Claude, Cursor or your own agent can pull records directly. Every person or company returned counts as one record, and count_leads is free. There is no Chrome extension. Non-technical users export from the app's Exports page, which has a filter builder, a column picker, the record price before you start and a CSV download.

Pros

  • Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter and no seats.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • Email status on every record, from verified to spam_trap.
  • Free counts, and a miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.

Cons

  • No Chrome extension and no LinkedIn list builder. You work in the app's export page, the API or MCP.
  • A stored dataset. It does not re-verify an address when you ask, so read the status field.
  • 693M people is fewer than the 850M+ contacts Wiza claims (Wiza, September 2026).
  • A v2 contact lookup that finds nothing still costs one record.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

2. LeadMagic: best for the lowest price per valid email

LeadMagic is a credit-based enrichment API. It lists 400M+ people profiles and 25M+ companies, and reaches them through REST, CSV and a hosted MCP server (LeadMagic, September 2026). You pay only for valid results. Failed lookups cost nothing.

The credit price falls as you climb the plans. Essential is $99 a month for 5,000 credits, or $0.0198 each. Growth is $249 for 20,000, or $0.01245 each. Billed yearly, Essential is $83 a month ($990 a year) for 60,000 credits a year and Growth is $208 a month ($2,490 a year) for 240,000 a year. Those are yearly allowances, not monthly ones. The "credits from $0.007" headline is Ultimate billed yearly, and monthly billing never goes below $0.00849 (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). A valid email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 5.

For code, it is the closest match to what Wiza leavers want. API and MCP access sit on Essential. Searching in the app spends no credits on any paid plan, but the search API bills about 1 credit per returned person on Essential and Growth. Only Professional and Ultimate get zero-credit API search (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). Exports are capped at 10,000 rows a day on Essential and 25,000 on Growth. The Email Finder endpoint allows 600 requests a minute, and a sustained find rate below 10% can lead to throttling (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). The MCP server uses OAuth (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • The lowest per-credit list price in this group.
  • No charge when an email is not found.
  • Search in the app is free on every paid plan, and API and MCP come with the first paid plan.
  • Credits roll over on monthly plans, up to 2x the monthly allocation. Yearly plans do not roll over (LeadMagic pricing guide, September 2026).

Cons

  • A daily export cap of 10,000 rows on Essential, so 1M a month needs an Enterprise quote.
  • A smaller stated database: 400M+ people profiles.
  • A minimum find-rate policy can throttle lists with poor match rates.

Best for: teams that enrich tens of thousands of valid emails a month and want the cheapest credits.

Pricing: Essential $99 and Growth $249 a month, or $83 and $208 a month billed yearly. The top public tier is Ultimate at $849 a month for 100,000 credits (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

3. Hunter: best for domain lookups with outreach attached

Hunter is an email finder that starts from a domain. It cites 150,430,313 verified email addresses (Hunter, September 2026). It also sells sequences and has an API-only Data Platform tab on its pricing page, so a pipeline can skip the sending side.

Credits are the meter. One credit is one email found, and a verification costs half a credit. Scale is $299 a month, or $209 billed yearly, for 25,000 credits a month (Hunter pricing, September 2026). A bigger pull means Enterprise or a credit pack.

The API is on every plan, including Free. Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute. Domain Search returns 100 results at most per call (Hunter API docs, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.hunter.io/mcp takes an API key or OAuth and spends plan credits (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

Pros

  • REST API and MCP server on every plan, including Free.
  • 15 requests a second on the core endpoints, far above Wiza's 5 concurrent.
  • Verification, enrichment and sequences in one account.

Cons

  • Lookups start at a domain. Building a list by title across a market takes many calls.
  • The top self-serve plan is 25,000 credits a month.
  • An email index, not a people and company database with funding or technology filters.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and send from the same tool.

Pricing: Free with 50 credits a month. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or 30% less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

4. Findymail: best for verified emails with a bounce guarantee

Findymail verifies each address when you ask for it and returns only verified emails. It charges one credit per email found and 10 per phone number, and a miss is free (Findymail API docs, September 2026). It advertises a bounce guarantee on its pricing page.

Findymail's pricing page blocks automated reading, so no plan price is quoted here. Check Findymail's pricing page for current plans. The phone endpoint returns US numbers only, and nothing for EU citizens (Findymail API docs, September 2026).

The REST API uses a Bearer token and allows 300 concurrent requests. Lead search is a plain-language query capped at 5,000 companies, not a set of structured filters (Findymail API docs, September 2026). The official MCP server at mcp.findymail.com exposes 14 tools (Findymail plugin, September 2026).

Pros

  • Every returned email is verified at request time, and a miss costs nothing.
  • A bounce guarantee advertised on its pricing page.
  • A high concurrency limit, and a 14-tool MCP server.

Cons

  • No price we could confirm at volume, because the pricing page blocks automated reading.
  • US-only phone numbers at 10 credits each.
  • No structured search filters in the docs, so segmenting by seniority or funding is weak.

Best for: outbound teams and agencies that want verified emails with a guarantee.

Pricing: Not published here. See Findymail's pricing page for current plans.

5. Prospeo: best for reps who want a Chrome extension

Prospeo is an email and mobile finder priced per user, with a Chrome extension, a REST API and an MCP server. Its API docs say 200M+ contacts. Search results carry no emails or phones, so you pay again to enrich them (Prospeo API docs, September 2026).

Every paid plan is per user. Starter is $49 a month per user and Pro is $249, with 25% off billed yearly. A verified email costs 1 credit and a mobile 10 (Prospeo help center, September 2026). Add-on credits cost $0.01 each at 350,000 a month and $0.009 at 500,000 a year. No add-on reaches 1M in one month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

The API has daily caps. Enrichment allows 2,000 requests a day on Starter, 5,000 on Growth and 500,000 on Pro, at 5 to 30 requests a second (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). First-party sources disagree on API access for the Free plan. The pricing table shows none, while the help center lists 1 request a second and 50 a day (Prospeo help center, September 2026). The hosted MCP server has 8 tools (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Chrome extension on every plan, so reps keep their LinkedIn habit.
  • A charge only when a verified match is found.
  • MCP server and CSV enrichment on paid plans.

Cons

  • Per-user pricing plus credits, so both grow with the team.
  • Daily enrichment caps of 2,000 and 5,000 on the lower plans.
  • Search returns 25 results a page and stops at 25,000 results.

Best for: reps and small teams that want an extension and pay-as-you-go emails.

Pricing: Free with 100 credits a month. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

6. FullEnrich: best for waterfall mobiles at modest volume

FullEnrich queries 25+ sources for each contact and charges only for data it finds (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). It is the closest thing to Wiza's phone strength, because a second source catches numbers the first one missed. Pro lists API access, people and company search and an MCP server.

Credits are the meter. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Those costs come from the credit docs (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, or $0.058 each. The 1,000-credit tier is $55 a month, or $0.055 each. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month, or $0.035 each (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). A mobile at the 1,000-credit rate costs $0.55.

The API allows 60 calls a minute by default, with up to 100 contacts per request. Higher limits are an Enterprise feature (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export, and it asks before it spends credits (FullEnrich help, September 2026).

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call can cover several vendors.
  • Search, enrichment and export in the MCP server.
  • SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and CCPA listed on the pricing page.
  • Credits roll over for 3 months on monthly plans and 12 on yearly.

Cons

  • Mobiles cost 10 credits each, so phone-heavy pulls get expensive.
  • The default API limit is 60 calls a minute.
  • No public price at 1M work emails. The top monthly tier stops at 100,000 credits, and the yearly toggle lists 1,200,000 credits a year for $37,800 billed yearly.

Best for: teams that want waterfall mobiles on a few thousand contacts, through an API or an agent.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, $55 for 1,000, up to $3,500 for 100,000. Above that, contact sales. Enterprise custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Hunter's figure is its Data Platform price for 1,000,000 Search credits, bought once and valid 12 months. Findymail publishes no price we could read. LeadMagic and FullEnrich sell no plan at 1M. LeadMagic's top tier is Ultimate at $849 a month for 100,000 credits ($0.00849 each). FullEnrich's is $3,500 a month for 100,000 credits ($0.035 each). Prospeo's cheapest public path on monthly billing is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500. On yearly billing it is 3 Pro seats plus the 500,000-credit add-on at $4,500, billed once. Wiza's own limits: 5 concurrent requests on Starter API, and the help center says 15 requests a second for Individual Reveal (Wiza help, September 2026).

How to choose

  • You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second.
  • You buy valid emails by the tens of thousands: LeadMagic, at $0.01245 a credit on Growth billed monthly, or $0.0104 billed yearly.
  • You find emails by domain and send from one tool: Hunter.
  • You want a bounce guarantee on verified emails: Findymail.
  • Your reps live in LinkedIn and want an extension: Prospeo, or stay on Wiza.
  • You need mobiles found by a second source: FullEnrich, and budget 10 credits per mobile.
  • You need real-time verification on a shortlist: keep Wiza for those accounts, and pull the bulk list from LeadOcean.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It has a flat price, emails and phones in one plan, and an MCP server that returns records. LeadMagic is the cheapest credit model if you stay under its daily export caps. Hunter wins for domain lookups with sequences, Findymail for a bounce guarantee, Prospeo for reps who want an extension and FullEnrich for waterfall mobiles. Stay on Wiza if your reps prospect one LinkedIn profile at a time. Otherwise start on the free plan and compare the same lookups.

FAQ

Why do teams leave Wiza?

Cost and shape. Wiza prices per user, caps exports at 2,500 a month on its annual plans and sells API credits on a call (Wiza pricing, September 2026). Teams that only use Wiza as a data source often move to an API.

Does Wiza have an API?

Yes, but it is gated. API access is listed on the custom Team plan, and credits are bought by a slider in the app or an enterprise deal. They expire after 12 months (Wiza docs, September 2026). Prospect search returns at most 30 results per call (Wiza docs, September 2026).

What is the cheapest Wiza alternative at volume?

At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat is cheapest on list price. Hunter sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900 on Data Platform, bought once and valid 12 months. LeadMagic and FullEnrich publish no plan at that volume, and Prospeo's cheapest public path is about $14,456 a month. Enterprise quotes may narrow the gap.

What does Wiza cost at 1M records a month?

Wiza does not publish a price at that volume. On annual Email seats, 1M exports is 400 seats and $33,200 a month, about $0.033 per contact (Wiza pricing, September 2026). Phones cost extra, and API credits are quoted on a call.

Which Wiza alternative has an MCP server that returns data?

All six do. Wiza's own server exposes 5 tools and needs API access and credits (Wiza MCP guide, September 2026). LeadOcean has 12, Findymail 14 and Prospeo 8. Compare the tools each one exposes before you choose.

Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
