LeadMagic is an email and mobile finder sold on credits, with an open API. Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) is data enrichment inside HubSpot. Pick LeadMagic to find contacts from code. Pick Clearbit to fill in records already in HubSpot. Neither publishes a price at 1M records.
Verdict
- Pick LeadMagic if you need verified work emails or mobiles from a name and domain, through an API, an agent or a CSV. You pay only for valid results, and the docs are public (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
- Pick Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) if your contacts and companies already live in HubSpot and you want them filled in without code (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
- Pick neither if you pull people and company data by API at volume and want a price you can read. LeadMagic's top public plan stops at 100,000 credits, and HubSpot sells a CRM first. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

LeadMagic figures come from its pricing page and docs. Clearbit and HubSpot figures come from the pages linked in each cell. All were checked in September 2026. Both vendors change plans often, so confirm before you buy.
Data and coverage
LeadMagic publishes a dataset size and Clearbit does not. LeadMagic claims 400M+ people, 25M+ companies and 46M+ job posts on its homepage (LeadMagic, September 2026). Those are its own numbers. It gives no count of emails or phones inside them.
Clearbit's homepage gives no people, company or phone count (Clearbit, September 2026). That is a gap if you size a list before you buy.
The products work differently. LeadMagic finds a work email or mobile from a name and company, and it also searches people and companies. HubSpot's docs say enrichment needs a business email for a contact and a domain for a company (HubSpot docs, September 2026). It fills in a record you hold. It does not find new people.
Clearbit's strength is company structure. Its homepage lists 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalized role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). LeadMagic's strength is hiring data. It lists 46M+ job posts and a job change detector at 3 credits a check (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
API and developer experience
LeadMagic has a public REST API you can read before you sign up. Clearbit has an API too, but you cannot read it without an account. That alone decides the comparison for most engineers.
LeadMagic's email finder takes the key in an X-API-Key header and a name plus a domain or company name (LeadMagic email finder docs, September 2026). The placeholders below stand in for a real person.
curl -X POST 'https://api.leadmagic.io/v1/people/email-finder' \
-H "X-API-Key: $LEADMAGIC_API_KEY" \
-H 'Content-Type: application/json' \
-d '{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com"}'The call costs 1 credit per valid email and nothing when no email is found (LeadMagic email finder docs, September 2026). The rate limit is 600 requests a minute, with a burst of about 10 a second. People search is zero-credit only on Professional and Ultimate. On Essential and Growth it bills about 1 credit per returned person (LeadMagic People Search docs, September 2026).
Clearbit has no public request. Its API docs redirect to a sign-in page, so we show no sample (Clearbit docs, September 2026). New sign-ups have needed a HubSpot account since December 2023 (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). Inside HubSpot, a Super Admin turns on automatic enrichment (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
On MCP, LeadMagic runs a hosted server and states 43 tools. Sign-in is OAuth only, and static API keys are not accepted (LeadMagic MCP page, September 2026). HubSpot's remote MCP server reads and writes CRM records. We found no MCP server for enrichment itself (HubSpot MCP, September 2026).
Pricing
LeadMagic prices every result in credits. Clearbit prices nothing of its own, because enrichment sits inside a HubSpot plan. LeadMagic figures use the monthly list price first, with the billed-yearly price after it. Unused credits roll over on monthly plans only, up to 2x the monthly allocation, and annual plans do not roll over (LeadMagic pricing explained, September 2026).
At 10,000 work emails a month
- LeadMagic: 10,000 valid emails x 1 credit = 10,000 credits. Growth covers it at $249 a month for 20,000 credits, or $208 a month billed yearly ($2,490 a year) (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). Misses cost nothing, so a lower hit rate costs less.
- Clearbit: no per-record price. HubSpot says enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits, so you pay the plan (HubSpot docs, September 2026). From an index page, 10,000 records is 100 batches of 100.
HubSpot prices each hub by tier and seat, in the currency of your location (HubSpot pricing, October 2026). It does not publish a monthly enrichment volume, so confirm 10,000 is allowed on your plan.
Mobiles change the sums at LeadMagic. A mobile is 5 credits, so 10,000 mobiles is 50,000 credits. That is Professional at $499 a month, or $416 a month billed yearly ($4,990 a year) (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
At 1M work emails a month
- LeadMagic: 1,000,000 credits is 10 times the 100,000 credits in Ultimate, the top public plan at $849 a month. No public 1M price. Enterprise starts at $2,490 a quarter paid upfront, with no credit price published (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). We do not multiply a rate out and call it a quote.
- Clearbit: No public 1M price. HubSpot publishes no per-record rate and no volume ceiling to size against. An index page takes 100 records at a time, so 1M is 10,000 batches, which makes it a workflow or import job (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
At 10,000, LeadMagic has a clear price and Clearbit has a plan fee. At 1M, both are quotes you have to ask for.
Where LeadMagic wins
- A public price ladder, from $99 a month, and pay-on-success billing for emails and mobiles.
- Open API docs, a key on every plan and a stated rate limit, so you can plan capacity before you sign.
- Search for new people and companies, not only enrichment of records you hold.
- A hosted MCP server with 43 stated tools, and job post and hiring data (46M+ job posts, LeadMagic's claim).
- CSV and list enrichment through the dashboard and MCP bulk tools (LeadMagic MCP page, September 2026).
Where Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) wins
- Enrichment inside HubSpot. Automatic enrichment fills new records without anyone writing code.
- Richer company structure: 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, and parent and subsidiary mapping (Clearbit, September 2026).
- Form shortening, so a form drops fields that Clearbit can enrich from an email address.
- No per-record price to track when you already own a HubSpot plan.
If you need volume through an API
We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. It is a data API and MCP server with no seats, no credits and no CRM in front of it. Pro is $499 a month flat, and Free gives 1,000 records one-off with no card. Both plans get the same REST API and 12-tool MCP server, and POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). It does not enrich records inside HubSpot, so keep Clearbit for that work. See pricing and the LeadMagic alternative.
FAQ
Is LeadMagic or Clearbit better for finding new contacts?
LeadMagic. It finds work emails and mobiles from a name and domain, and it searches people and companies. Clearbit enrichment starts from an email or domain you already hold, so it fills in records and does not search for new people (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
Is Clearbit still a separate product?
Partly. Clearbit's site says it has joined HubSpot, and new sign-ups need a HubSpot account (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). HubSpot's docs call the feature data enrichment and list it inside its hubs.
Which is cheaper, LeadMagic or Clearbit?
It depends on what you already own. LeadMagic starts at $99 a month for 5,000 credits, so every result has a visible cost. Clearbit has no standalone price, only a HubSpot plan priced by hub and seat. If HubSpot is already paid for, Clearbit adds little.
Do both have an API and an MCP server?
LeadMagic does, and the API key comes with every plan. Its MCP server is at https://mcp.leadmagic.io/mcp and uses OAuth. Clearbit documents an API behind a sign-in, and we found no enrichment MCP server. HubSpot's MCP server covers CRM records.
How do their rate limits compare?
LeadMagic publishes them: 600 requests a minute on the email finder, and 300 a minute on most other endpoints (LeadMagic email finder docs, September 2026). Clearbit publishes none, so ask HubSpot before you build on it.
How does LeadOcean compare with these two?
LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server with one flat price, $499 a month on Pro. It does not replace HubSpot's in-CRM enrichment. For related reading, see LeadMagic vs Kaspr, LeadMagic vs Explorium, LeadMagic vs Datagma and LeadMagic alternatives.
