Coresignal and LeadMagic both bill by the credit, but they sell different things. Coresignal sells raw professional records and job postings. LeadMagic sells valid emails and mobile numbers. Pick by what you need back from each call.

Verdict

  • Pick Coresignal if you need employee, company and job-posting records at scale, flat-file datasets, or a public rate limit that reaches 100 requests a second.
  • Pick LeadMagic if you need valid work emails and mobile numbers, pay only for finds, and stay under about 100,000 credits a month. Entry is $99 a month.
  • Pick neither if you need 1M contacts a month at a public price. Neither publishes one. LeadOcean has a flat price for that shape of work (see below).

Figures come from the vendors' pages linked in each cell, checked in September 2026. Both change plans often, so confirm before you buy.

Data and coverage

Coresignal is the larger dataset, and it is the only one of the two with deep job data. It lists 907M+ employee records, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings, with company data delivered daily (Coresignal, September 2026). LeadMagic lists 400M+ profiles, 25M+ companies and 46M+ job posts (LeadMagic, September 2026).

Size is not the same as contactability. Coresignal sells records, and the email is one field on one record type. The multi-source employee record carries a professional email with four statuses: verified, matched_email, matched_pattern and guessed_common_pattern (Coresignal data dictionary, September 2026). The Base Employee API lists no email field.

LeadMagic sells the contact itself. You send a name and a domain, or a profile URL, and every email it returns is validated. You are charged 1 credit for a valid email and nothing when no email is found (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).

Phones are the clearest gap. LeadMagic has a Mobile Finder at 5 credits per valid mobile. Coresignal's employee dictionaries list no phone field, so a dial list means a second vendor.

Neither vendor publishes a find rate for emails or phones. We have not tested either, so run your own sample before you judge coverage.

API and developer experience

Both are plain REST. The shape of the call differs because the products do.

Coresignal collects a full record by employee ID, profile URL or shorthand name. The key goes in an apikey header, and a multi-source record costs 20 credits (Coresignal docs, September 2026).

bash
curl -X GET \
  "https://api.coresignal.com/cdapi/v2/employee_multi_source/collect/jane-doe" \
  -H "accept: application/json" \
  -H "apikey: $CORESIGNAL_API_KEY"

Search by filter or Elasticsearch DSL is free and returns IDs. You pay when you collect, and a search preview costs 10 to 20 credits per call (Coresignal docs, September 2026).

LeadMagic takes a name and a company and returns one validated email. The key goes in an X-API-Key header (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadmagic.io/v1/people/email-finder" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $LEADMAGIC_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com"}'

The docs add a fair-use rule for this endpoint. A sustained find rate below 10% may lead to throttling or suspension, even with prepaid credits left. Clean inputs matter.

Rate limits differ in kind. Coresignal ties speed to the plan, from 5 to 100 requests a second on the Data API. LeadMagic allows 600 Email Finder requests a minute, about 10 a second, on standard plans (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). At 50 requests a second on Premium, 1M collects would take about 5.6 hours (our arithmetic).

On MCP, Coresignal's server has 5 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.1. entity_search costs 20 credits a call, and entity_fetch costs 20 credits per employee or company record. The server's own tool text bills email_enrich at 20 credits per email found, while the MCP docs page still says 10. The server excludes EEA and UK employees from email lookups (Coresignal MCP docs, September 2026).

LeadMagic states 43 hosted MCP tools on its MCP page, while its docs call them "dozens". Sign-in is OAuth only, and static API keys are not accepted (LeadMagic MCP, September 2026).

Pricing

Price both as work-email lookups. Coresignal bills 20 credits a call through its Contact Enrichment API, included from the Pro plan upward. LeadMagic bills 1 credit for a valid work email (Coresignal pricing, September 2026; LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). Prices below are monthly list first, billed-yearly after.

At 10,000 records a month

Coresignal: 10,000 lookups x 20 credits = 200,000 credits. Growth stops at 150,000 credits, which is 7,500 lookups. That leaves Premium at $1,500 a month for 1,000,000 credits, or $1,350 a month billed yearly. You use a fifth of it, so $0.15 a lookup at the monthly price. Premium credits roll over for 3 months (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

Premium shows a Get started button, but the pricing page flags Premium, Scale and Elite for a sales contact, so expect a call (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

LeadMagic: 10,000 lookups x 1 credit = 10,000 credits. Essential holds 5,000, so Growth at $249 a month for 20,000 credits fits, or $208 a month billed yearly ($2,490 a year). That is $0.0249 per valid email at the monthly price. Misses cost nothing, so 10,000 is the ceiling (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

Add a mobile for every contact. 10,000 mobiles x 5 credits = 50,000 credits, which is Professional at $499 a month for 50,000 credits. Emails and mobiles together need 60,000 credits, which is Ultimate at $849 a month for 100,000. Coresignal has no phone field to price.

At 10,000 lookups LeadMagic costs about a sixth of Coresignal ($249 against $1,500). The units differ, though. A Coresignal call returns a full multi-source record, and the email is one field in it.

At 1M records a month

Coresignal: no public price at 1M. 1,000,000 lookups x 20 credits = 20,000,000 credits, and no public plan reaches that. The top plan, Elite, is $5,000 a month for 10,000,000 credits, or $4,500 a month billed yearly. That covers 500,000 lookups (Coresignal pricing, September 2026). Above it you need a quote.

LeadMagic: no public price at 1M. 1,000,000 lookups x 1 credit = 1,000,000 credits. The top self-serve plan, Ultimate, is $849 a month for 100,000 credits, or $8,490 a year for 1,200,000 credits. That covers 100,000 valid emails a month (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

Past that, LeadMagic Enterprise starts at $2,490 a quarter, paid upfront, with custom volume pricing. No per-credit price is published. Top-up prices are not published either (LeadMagic help, September 2026).

We do not multiply either rate out to 1M. A vendor that publishes no plan at that volume has not published a price for it. Ask each for a quote at your volume.

Where Coresignal wins

  • Raw size and signals. 907M+ employee records, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings, each sold on its own.
  • A readable, higher rate limit. 100 requests a second on Scale, published per plan.
  • Datasets and bulk. Bulk Collect takes 10,000 records per request, and flat-file datasets start at $1,000 a month (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).
  • Free search. Search by filter or Elasticsearch DSL costs nothing until you collect.
  • A free trial. 2,000 credits for 7 days, one per company email domain.

Where LeadMagic wins

  • Contacts, not records. Validated work emails, personal emails and mobiles, with failed lookups free.
  • Cheaper at 10,000 lookups. $249 a month against $1,500, on the work-email basis above.
  • A lower entry. $99 a month for 5,000 credits, against $49 for 2,500 on Coresignal Mini, which has no contact enrichment.
  • Integrations. Clay, Smartlead, Instantly and Zapier are listed on its homepage (LeadMagic, September 2026).
  • Phones. A Mobile Finder at 5 credits. Coresignal lists no phone field.

If you need volume through an API

We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. LeadOcean holds 693M people and 63M companies over REST and MCP. Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and a limit of 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

For bulk work, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. Phone numbers are reachable at GET /v2/people/phone. The app also has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). It has no job-posting data. See the Coresignal alternative page or the Coresignal alternatives roundup for a line-by-line version, or /pricing.

FAQ

Is Coresignal or LeadMagic bigger?

Coresignal, on published numbers: 907M+ employee records, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings. LeadMagic lists 400M+ profiles and 25M+ companies. Size says little about find rate, so test both on your own list.

Do Coresignal and LeadMagic give phone numbers?

LeadMagic does, at 5 credits per valid mobile through its Mobile Finder. Coresignal's employee dictionaries list no phone field. For a dial list, LeadMagic is the one to test.
